Very nice Jimmy! Enjoy every moment of it. We never know when God calls our number. Life is what we make of it. I prefer to love life, love God and live every day as it may be my last. Tight line's good Sir! Your are a legend and always will be. In a hundred years you will be remembered in the fishing community. You and Roland Martin, Bill Dance, KVD etc.. made fishing what it is. I wish I could meet you someday and shake your hand. You and Roland taught me just about everything I and millions more know about fishing. Your a good man. Your a great fisherman,Your an amazing husband. Don't ever forget it? God sees everything!
Thanks so very much, Nick. I appreciate those very gracious comments. Every day is a gift from God We are extremely blessed. I appreciate you. May God Bless. jimmy
Excellent boat and review of it. On your lifejacket compartment the top thing when you open up the door should be a throwable floating device. Georgia state law says if it’s not on top, you could get a ticket safety first your brother Dave. My 2024 has a mercury 250 XS pro and it is super quiet. I still bleed Ranger. I’m old-school.
Me too. David. Very old school. That’s not a bad law at all. A few Seconds or minute or two could save a life. Thanks. Have a fun weekend. May God Bless. jimmy
Big question JIMMY & OUR CHRIS do you have a HORN on the boat ??? Plus the Lights that OUR CHRIS likes so much on the boat ??? Love the boat BEAUTIFUL boat !!! I was the plug lady in my boat with husband !!! I had to PUT PLUG in other wise He would sink haha giggle !!! Our Boat cost $500.00 for us with a Johnson Motor !!!
Gotta have that plug in, that’s for sure. The new boat does have a horn but no lights. I had lights ordered from Bluewater Lighting but they never got here. Have a super week. May God Bless. jimmy
Love the new boat, Jimmy. ❤❤❤ It looks like it's blue on the outside, not red. Just like my dad would always buy a red one every 2 years or if he really loved it he would keep it for longer than a couple year's like the Lund Tyee 1750 and the Lund ProV Signature that was Purple and Gold. Those were the last two he had owned and fished. On July 31st was 10 years when we buried him after mom's birthday on July 30th. Thanks for sharing this video
Good afternoon my brother that a sharp looking new boat the power pole look great. The storage boxes are nice and roomy the Electronics are nice. I like the main control are touchscreen that supper cool . I have 4 AGM from O’Reilly on my boat and is Jamie going to put the vents in the tops of the live well cover like last year boat ? Now the seat are awesome and the leg room. Now do you have Tilt steering does it have telescopic where it moves in and out ? Oh I forgot to ask do you have power pole cover ? Well any way it a great looking boat and I like the wrap you have on it. Well my brother God Bless you and Chris I’m still praying for her Love you guys. Robert
I don’t think that steering wheel does move, Robert. The seats slide back and forth for adjustment. Those vent are great when you have fish in the live well. Still learning that fancy Ranger panel. It tells about anything you can think of and in an instant. Whack em. May God Bless. jimmy
@@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing it sure look good love them seat now it going to look great with them step on the to get in the boat are you going to put them light on the trailer? Like the other one had . Well have a nice day enjoy your weather and be safe driving tell Chris hello for me God Bless
I think you should be on the lake showing this video jimmy but it’s your world we are just living in it with that being said keep on keeping on buddy god bless see ya in the next
Nice, do you know if Ranger is going to start offering their boats with Yamaha outboards again? I was disappointed to learn that they quit doing that a few years ago.
Krystal Keith, (Toby’s Daughter). Gave me a Lovable Loom a couple months ago when she was here fishing. Should have shown it. lol. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
Jimmy it just came to me you need to invent something that will tell you approximate weight in length of a fish on a fishfinder do you think they already are doing it
That’s the very best bass boat made, MP. I just sold my Tracker 175 for about $30,000. You can get in a good Tracker or even a used Ranger for about whatever price range fits. Fishin is good for you. May God Bless. jimmy
@@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing hey Jimmy been watching you since the 70,s anyway you can send this old fisherman a signed pic of you. Ian Cameron 24410 Calvin Dearborn Michigan 48124.
Jimmy, I know that MLF and BASS limit you to 250 HP. But since you aren't on the circuit anymore, is there a reason you don't run a 300 HP? My second question would be, can someone buy a Ranger from you? It looks like you only sell Tracker and Nitro, my guess would be you any White River dealer could sell anything made by White River, but again that is just my guess.
We do only sell Tracke and Nitro. We are a Tracker Elite dealer. I do have a couple of my personal Ranger 521Rs for sale right now. Fully equipped and very low hours, full warranty. Give us a call at Jimmy Houston Marine and ask for my son, Jamie, to get info about them! Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
HI Jimy, As a now 55 year longgggg marine mechanic I have to call b.s. lol but it is ok. I know you have to say thinggs.... There is no proof that a four stroke will outlast a two stroke that has been well maintained, in fact we still have outboards from the late 60's and 70's running like new. Four strokes seem to make the 8 year mark reasonably well but none have been around long enough to know the longevity. WHat we do know is you have 4 times the moving parts and corrosion issues are real. It saddens me to see how fast everyone jumped on that 4 stroke bandwagon. We have twin etec 300's and twin etec 250's from the early 2000's that have equal or better fuel economy and do not pollute any more than your four stroke. WIth maintenance these will outlast your four. I also am running a 2010 Verado L-6 that has had to be rebuilt twice in the 14 years we have had it. The engine is fantastic but heavy and the etec does better in all circumstances. Evinrude is a sad story. I do not like the version 2 etechs. Great ideas but needed more time to work out the steering and bracketed issues. It also baccles me why they insisted on going back to a 1960's style electric shift lower. I had thought they finally learned their lessons on these but I guess not. Anyway, love the Ranger but like you., I remember when they were 45k to 60k fully rigged. Now days not many can afford them and it directly the fault of an outboard that now costs triple the price of a two stroke. ANyway, best to you for the new seasons...
Jimmy it just came to me you need to invent something that will tell you approximate weight in length of a fish on a fishfinder do you think they already are doing it… hey towards the end of this video what was that black thing that ran way back behind you
The crappie tournament fisherman say they can tell within an ounce in forward facing Live Scopes. A bit easier than bass because they don’t mi e around much. Usually sitting still. Thanks. Godspeed. jimmy
Jimmy why haven’t you blacktopped that driveway or concrete it yet lmao I’m just messing with you man that would be a few of them boats worth of money to have that done I bet
Haven’t won that lottery yet, Shawn. 2.3 miles is above this boys budget! One day maybe. Not holding my breath. lol. We need a blacktop sponsor. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
They are that, Bryan. Everything has all gone up about the same Lots of stuff double what it was 3 or 4 years ago. Hope it stops soon. Wouldn’t hurt for things to go down a bunch. Probably won’t happen. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
why do you buy 70 mph rangers when you got the money to buy 100 mph allison crafts and bullets? just wondering what you know that i don't because im sure there is a reason being you a legend pro.
Most of us want quality and resale value. Also tournament fisherman fish a lot of really tough and rough water conditions. Those lighter boats just haven’t held up to that. We have had a few folks try to fish national tournaments in them, but they just don’t seem to hold together. They sure are fast though. Kinda like why we drive tough trucks and not Corvette and Ferraris Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
@@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing i think i understand. those ultra fast boats are for people like me that just fishes for fun on nice days but people who has to fish for a living have to fish in bad weather and dangerous conditions so the heavier, stronger rangers would be the better choice. you cant run 100 mph in those bad conditions any way so what good would a 100 mph boat be any way? you be better off with the safer boat i think. i live at one of your favorite lakes i live at lake eufaula and in high wind conditions its like a ocean here so you can forget going fast in any thing.
@@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing jimmy something is wrong with lake eufaula nobody here are catching fish bigger than 7 and 8lbs most the fish here are 1 to 3lb range for last 5 years. when 100 flw and mlf pros fish here 2 weeks for pratice and then the tourney and 8lbs wins big fish something is bad wrong. they busted all the dams here in columbus ga and made those rapids and people are saying that did it but i have no clue,, what would be your input on this? jimmy its so bad now that MLF is taking eufaula off their main tourney schedule, they use eufaula as a back up lake to fish like last year when that blizzard hit the upper states.
@@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing eufaula is getting over run with gators now and i think they are eating the big bass when they come to the shallows to spawn because the lake eufaula fish quality that earned its name the big bass capital is gone. when 200 flw and mlf pros combined fish eufaula a year and not 1 of them catch a 10 lb bass using live scopes and the best of the best something is bad wrong. yes you can find bass here on the live scope on brush piles and ledges but when they are caught they are mostly 1-3lbs small. this does not earn the big bass capital reputation eufaula suppose to have. what is your input on this?
