My New Ride: 1998 Subaru Legacy Outback Limited 30th Anniversary Edition 

I have this car. Mine is the wine color and its a 1999. Mine has 249k miles and still runs like a champ. She's my baby.

Wow. $2500 is definitely a steal. I am a high school student and I have been looking to purchase one of these - they fit my needs perfectly. I'm 17 years old. I just got the 1999 30th in black with auto transmission, and 90,000 original miles on it, it even has the original key and remote. The interior is untouched. I got for only 2500. Steal and a great first car.

I actually got a gen1 1993 subaru legacy L 5-speed wagon about four months for $1200. I have always loved the legacy since Collin McRae 93 legacy wrc thanks for the upload. Such a great platform that the legacy came from and take pride every time I see a legacy wagon on the road.

I just picked up a 1997 limited 5 speed in rio red with cold weather package (heated leather seats and mirrors).132,000 miles and it has a swap in it without about 40,000 miles on it! Paid $2500 for it!!!!

That is one of the cleanest legacies I have seen, I drive that same legacy but in purple! Subarus are amazing cars I have owned 4 and never been disappointed!

I love this generation Legacy/Outback. My uncle drives a 1999 Subaru Legacy SUS Limited with only 156000 miles. It was a 2 owner car. I think the SUS was somewhat rare because I have only seen a couple.

My local generic non-subaru shop did the timing belt for $475 with everything including tax, water pump, one of the pulleys and everything on my 2001. They wanted 550 for my 98 2.5 Legacy

i have this identical car. the oil was supposed to be changed at 178000. its now at 199824. ive not changed the oil when it was supposed to have been. ive treated like garbage since ive owned it. i drive like an idiot. fast starts, fast stops. ive pounded the crap out of it. i replaced the coil pack on it, thats literally it. oh ya and the battery. the only thing that doesnt work is the AC. i dont deserve this car. lol. ive thought about changing the oil but im thinking that it may mess with the juju of it. the thing about these cars is the AWD. there is no equal to a subaru traction. i will take literally any vehicle on the planet on with as far as traction goes. jeep, range rover, or any AWD or 4WD that was ever made, ever. i live in Ohio and we get snow here and this car handles it like a champ. ive never driven a more planted vehicle in snow, ice or mud in my life. if you want to get somewhere in ice, snow or mud get a subaru. period

Well my uncle had a 2001 Subaru Outback he got it used in late 2011 or early 2012 his was a 5 speed too but sadly a couple of weeks ago it died and now owns a Ford Expedition don't know what year he got.

Oh what the USDM models dont get the factory livery? Thats a big shit, here in Aus on our 25th and 30th Anniversaries we get a special livery on the doors as standard.

Would you get your drivers seat fixed? I noticed some damage on the sun visor, would you consider getting new factory sun visors?

stupid question. How many shocks and struts are on the 98 Subaru Legacy Outback limited? I saw one video and the guy was saying it has struts all the way around with so I think it's kind of unusual is it not? I'm assuming it's got two shots up front and to struts in the rear but I don't really know I need to replace all 4 items

its already got a cold air intake...if you shorten the intake that'll make it a hot air intake, just sayin. Also the hood scoop does jack. Its a non functional hood scoop. There is a piece of plastic blocking any airflow through it, and since your car is N/A, there's no point in making the hood scoop "functional." The hood scoops are only for either the looks and non functional (in your case) or functional if the car was turbo'd, feeding air to the top mount intercooler, still not sending air to the intake.

Winestone w/sandstone paint, dark grey leather interior, dual moonroofs, tinted side and rear windows, etc. Body and interior in very good condition, runs flawlessly, all components working as should; no issues. Will need tires before winter (original tires on 3/4 wheels, 1 tire replaced.) West coast (Canada. Exchange rate is currently in Americans favour) car (no salt). Just got word from parents to sell the vehicle, so I haven't any photos/videos at this time. Will have on my page within a month. Stay tuned. Also, don't have further info on vehicle (options) until I do a little more inspection. Also, haven't determined asking price, yet, but will be fair market. Let me know if you're interested.
