A lot of Cyberse decks have an infinite special summon playstyle focusing on summoning as much as possible and completely shutting the opponent out. Salamangreat has a more "bend but don't break" playstyle that focuses on grinding and rewards smart use of resources. It can create an ebb and flow to the duel that still doesn't feel unfair to play against. And he would probably like Mathmech more if Circular wasn't like. One of the best cards in the game lol
@@Majoraspersonacyberse does not revolve around shutting out the opponent. Mathmech can't. Ignister can't. Only Marincess does, but it lacks the generic cyberse tools.
There's another OTK line as well. You play the old Link 4 Pyro Phoenix. Instead of climbing to the new one Rating Phoenix, you summon the old one Pyro Phoenix, summon Raging to the opponent with Weasel. Activate Pyro's effect to burn the opponent for 2800. Reincarnate Pyro, activate effect to destroy all cards on the opponent's field. Battle Phase, Pyro Phoenix attacks directly. Salamangreat of Fire activates and destroys Pyro Phoenix, Raging Phoenix triggers in the GY to summon itself and gain 2800 ATK. Swing for 5600, plus the 2800 burn it's OTK
So, like, how are you making Raging Phoenix before Pyro Phoenix and how are you making Pyro Phoenix after Raging Phoenix? You can't re-link both of them in one turn.
@@monkfishy6348 You already have Rating Phoenix in the GY from the earlier turn, it's a turn 2-3 OTK. It's not realistic to OTK directly going second anyway, if you try to do any OTK line going second you're getting stopped on your tracks
@@federicoradici6453 No deck is allowing you to OTK you going second against them just because you handtrap them to oblivion or get your board wiped out by some power card. That would mean any deck with 20 engine and 20 handtraps would win going second just because of this which is not true. Not even full-power Superheavy Samurai won many games going second with this mindset. Salamangreat doesn't have many in-archetype tools for going second either. Anyway, the Proxy F Magician+Pitknight into Violet Chimera OTK is surely more useful strictly going second if planets align. The line I described uses less Extra Deck (2 Pyro Phoenix instead of 1 Proxy 1 Violet 1 Pitknight, unless you already play Pitknight) and uses an overall stronger card compared to Proxy F and Violet Chimera in other scenarios where you can't really control every single play you can make
I was playing against a salamangreat player online on some unspecified dite, the guy through ash on Gazelle made the link four, used the continuous spell for four to make apo
I did the same thing using heatleo second effect targeting bayl in grave making their monster 500 and doing it that way. I’ve been using that over access since release of proxy F
I have also found an otk that works under fire you just summon black rose dragon with a rage pheonix on field and in grave and protect with balelynx you clear the board and get exactly 8k damage
@@MDKShady BRD wipes the board but balelynx protects your cards raging pheonix activates in grave because a fire monster was desroyed and it gains 2400 from BRD then you end up with a 5200 and a 2800 pheonix on board but I usually have even more stuff on board
Isn't there merit to running multiple copies of will since you're maxing out on both fire and buffalo? I get that drawing multiples is not ideal but with 6 main normal summons it could be something to consider. It also helps playing after nib, does it not?
@@F3XT oh sorry, no they don’t have one that can be used during the same turn that they combo. They only have a counter trap as their form of negation. The combo also locks them into fire monsters so they can’t really put up any negates while link climbing so can’t make apolousa and no way of making their monster unaffected. That’s why nib has really good vs them and has always notoriously been an issue for the deck. The deck has always just been a consistent deck that loops resources with a small engine which allows them to play a lot of non engine. Just like every other cyberse deck.
You can also do another hilarious OTK with the new cards. Reincarnation phoenix search Salamangreat Claw Gazelle normal summon, send salamangreat revive to grave Revive makes phoenix 5600 attack and Claw allows it to attack 4 times. I think it does piercing too 😂
you can make it even higher by salad of fire pop link 4, 2nd link 4 eff ss with 5k atk, new salad trap gy eff shuffle link 4 in gy give new link 4 7k atk
@@rafi...___ sadly you can't because claw only works on a Re-linked card. So you need to use the trap to buff its damage for it to work that way and it only works that way
Please win a ycs with Salad man. I am 100% sure you can do it. You will instantly go 150k subscribers and maybe also offer teaching for a high fee if you win a big tournament with a budget deck like Salad. If someone can do it, then this is Joshua
@@reinstriver5432 ok i see, i want to try this deck out on a budget, i see different builds with only 1 salad of fire or even none, how do you feel about this? since paying ~20€ for a piece in a playset because of the hype seems quite a lot for this card
What is the use of Link Spider? I know you can make it after getting nibed. But when you use the nibiru token for link spider what do you do after that?
Idk how I feel about ever cutting accesscode , that. Card is WAY too strong in this deck , The chimera stufff is cool and all Becsuse fire locks you . But like you can just play 3 gazelle 2-3 exceed and still do accesscode shenanigans
Uhh how are you able to fusion summon violet and also i thought you couldnt use the 2md effect of violet if you dont fusion summon using violet as part of its material
You use Proxy F Magician's effect to fusion summon. Chimera's "re-link" effect is only to reduce the Atk of whatever it's attacking to 0. That is able to trigger it's normal effect to double its Atk. However, Pitknight Earlie can also reduce a monsters Atk to 0, which is how it's triggered here.
jesus christ netdeckers are dumb, are people really surprised about the existence of violet chimera? that card was the OG otk monster for salamangreat. it came out in SAST!
This OTK takes 5 bodies+weasel, whereas the transcode line only takes 3, and making accesscode only needs 2 bodies. This combo is garbage, stop coping XD...
