you will love the that Truck/SUV, I own 2002 ml320 with 98k miles, interior, exterior, engine. transmission and reliability is amazing. I went thru thick snow and drove thru snowy road without an issue. You will love it.
@@MannyScoot 4 matic is really good, I live in ny and this winter was really bad with snow. But I had not a single problem. It actually was fun and put smile on my wife's face when I took her to work in blizzard.
I am sure you’ve fixed the problem by now. I had the same problem, from spilling a drink on my center console. I had to visit the nearest dealer and they had to replace the shifter and reboot the TCM. Before that I went to the junk yard and bought a shifter from there temporarily installed it, until I had the $1200.00 USD , for the dealer. Good luck.
Amazon sells the tool to measure the trans fluid, i had the same issue and added trans fluid and solved the shifting gear issue. I thought i needed to change the conductor plate but thankfully didnt need to. Replace also the top and bottom radiator hoses those tend to rip apart.
I just bought a 99 ML320 with 169,000 and it's simply perfect now ....... I bought it for $750.00 and after replacing the rotors and adding new brakes and changing the oil and new Michelin LTX tires.....Now I have $3,500 invested in her and brother ....what a nice riding suv.......
The conductor plate is a common issue on these. Was that the issue for the transmission stuck in limp mode? I have a 2000 as well and it needed done at 165000 miles
hey was it easy to change the shifter i have the p0705 transmission range sensor a circuit prndl input and the sensor is inside the shifter so i have to replace the shifter it wont go from drive back to park unless i turn the car off to put it back in park
I just watch your video.and i don't know if you already fixed or not but looks like it's the one of the switch on the shifter because on your little box we're the say on which drive position you are idon't show anything
is the Transmission Conductor plate a Simple fix, change the fluid and filter erase codes and you are Golden also check the shifter secure Pin and O-ring sometimes is worn and causes issues, this SUV's makes for the perfect off road project good luck :)
