Back in the summer Mucka and i got the chance to review New Hollands Latest flagship of the T7 range, the 340 HD Autocommand. Check out Muckas video here • New Holland T7.340
You are right George, its the compete package. Power , efficiency and technology in one tractor. They came along way since the Q cab era . Great video George 🔧🚜👍
You sold it to me George and I’m not even a farmer!! Certainly looks and sounds an excellent machine, just a shame it hasn’t got FORD on the badge. 😊🚜👍
@@bekabeka71 Fendt is definitely more reliable with their engines and mechanics. Electronics are about the same. But the purchase price and service parts price off a Fendt is very high compared to the NH. For me nothing beats Massey Ferguson. It’s reliable, comfortable and the purchase price and service parts price is definitely correct for what you get. In my experience of course. JD isn’t really sold, used a lot where I live, so I can’t compare. I do know they used to be pretty noisy in the cabin but maybe with the new ones it’s better.
Nice bit of kit George the modern tractors of today looks very technical in the cab with all these new controls Well done Liz great to see you in the top seat working it well Cracking video 😊
George, it’s like any new piece of kit mate.. May as well enjoy it for at least 5-6 rows before you have to get out. Because like any one of us who has a partner, Liz will be taking it from you. Lol. Go stand next to the JCB.
They seem to be a wonderful tractor, but I do wonder if they're going a bit overboard including central locking and push button starting - hopefully it's just an option.
Hi George that’s a really nice tractor, I see on the display on the speed it says 56k does it do that speed? as the 270blue power we had only sat at 50k, cheers 👍🏻
Fella we know has a 270 and he has had it since new its over 20,000 hours and never misses a beat,he gets ot services every year but its out all year contact work witha 4000 gallon tanker and herron silage trailer.he bought a big geere too and still uses the 270 himself most of the time
re bonjour George et Liz c est vraiment un beau tracteur qui va facilite le travail et investir des outils a sa puissance , bon courage a vous deux pour la suite 😍👍👍👍
Hi George, have I missed liz’s combine video? And I drive the latest 250hp John Deere with all the toys on it but the days I enjoy the most is when I drive our basic 6630 without any toys on it I find our big tractor really boring to drive and I’m yawning my head off after a couple of hours and my lunchbox is empty and after 12 hours in the seat I’m just an empty headed so & so. Let’s all be honest we aren’t just sat there monitoring the implement or the tractor we are just sat there doing nothing and talking to other operators who agree with me it’s not good for our brains or mental well being as we aren’t doing enough. When you have to drive an older basic tractor then you feel better getting off it. When we all dreamed of driving these tractors 20-30 years ago we all enjoyed driving them and keeping straight, it was all part of the fun. Keep up the great videos and ask the enemy where her combine video is. Cheers Stuart.
I know exactly what you mean Stuart and I find it myself, you can start to nod in a tractor like that when everything is done for you, you certainly don't get that chance when you're driving the tw. But the new machine is far more efficient 👍
You got the best position for the dash bord anyway, the center mount is awful, ive 2000hrs in that cab now, few little hates like the linkage mouce and bits but a perfectly nice place to be t7-290
Trouble is George !!!- all this nice Automation is gonna put you out of a Job with Automatic GPS Tractors !, Just as did the Old Threshing Machines did and the Farm Workers went round settin em on fire !!🤔😃🤠 Don't set your Tractor on fire though !!
Looks awesome in the darker blue! So when it’s as old as your TW, will it still work and operate the same or will it have had £30k spent on the ad blue failures and god knows what else !! Hope not, you need a bigger sumo now boy !!
It would be interesting to crunch the numbers and see how many years until it’s a financial writeoff compared to older generations of power houses like tw35-genesis etc depends on operator too I suppose
@@GeorgeSaunders this year we got new gen 6 724 profi+. it is really nice tractor. did some heavy work too. Vaderstad cultus 350 at 18cm and it pulls good in heavy soil around 11kph. i like the newer cab more than the previous one.
Had a 315 for 3 yrs, had the new HD version for a day back in the spring, the cab upgrade is what NH have needed for a long while, but please God, NH, get rid of that chuffin sliding headrest 🙄
How long all the fancy electrics keep right for ,cant beat the old tw,sweaty seat, roar, trail smoke when under presure, you better milk them cows 4 times a day now😅😅
You will meed to invest in a lot of new bigger kit to go on it to work it to its protental or you will end up wrecking machines with too much power .and use more fuel i run a case 145 cvx and saves a lot of fuel over powershift box .
@@GeorgeSaunders thanks, it looks dry and sunny there compared to where my Dad farms in Ireland, outside Listowel in County Kerry Good luck with the crops
I am surprised that they have not done a heads up display that is projected up from the steering area on to the lower part of the front windscreen with a darkened area of film on the windscreen which is the same size of the bonnet of the engine as seen from the drivers view so the main windscreen views are clear around the bonnet for working views. a laser system could project on to that small darkened area of windscreen very clear and bright even in full sunlight. the back up screen for the same information also could be on a small LED screen on the right side of the steering wheel area if needed? That way your main windscreen views be clear for working and the heads up display would let you see the info without missing the front views.
Hello George the new John Deere quadrant baler does the same through the isobus it is a lot better same with that tractor it will only work on that brand never been a ford/new Holland fan look forward to the next video keep up the good work 👍👍
Modern stuff is getting out o hand, looks like if your good with a play station your sorted 😂personally think it’s more to go wrong , good looking tractor though
Naaaa stick we ma 6 cylinder 7840 and me 12 ft cultivaters 👍👍👍suppose need to trade in at some point for another Ford so what’s the one t6 120 maybe or a 140 have 134 acre bit of hill ground have not had any issues with the 7840 sl comments would be fine thank you 😊
@@GeorgeSaunders lot of farms now farming no more land than they were 30 years ago but seem to be running tractors nearly twice the size then moan how expensive they are. unless you farm enough acreage to take advantage of the bigger kit and extra cost then there's no point, we do a bit of contracting best year round baling was with 7740 and new Holland 648, just under 10,000 bales,
Why is it always demonstrated on level land........The contractor we used back in the 1980/90's would buy a new tractor every 2/3 years generaly a Ford 7810/7840 and when he would have one on Demo he would stick the swipe on the back and come up to our farm or another farm in the area and do some swiping/topping on some really steep land and he would say if the tractor can cope with that he would buy it if not no good to him. These new one's have got so many sensors on them it would probably shut the engine down if you went onto steep land with it
