The man works extremely hard, and it seems when he does take time off, he heads to the auctions haha.... I really like his auction videos a lot as well. 💪👍🍻🇺🇲
I have to agree Volvo finally figured it out. This channel is excellent coverage for the Volvo brand, and it shows exactly what these machines can do. Nothing but profit for them.
I guess you don’t understand how business works or have listened to Chris’ videos. He literally said he worked with Volvo to try and get a machine when he bought the Hyundai and they were not able to find anything. Can’t magically make a machine appear out of thin air.
I don’t take anything away from Chris but if you think Volvo cares about one YouTuner with less than 700k siubsctbers over huge construction companies that order excavators by the dozen I’ve got a bridge for sale.
Fantastic operator, good business man, but poor financial manager as he could be having far better returns on his investments, if he was making his assets work as they should be by having good full time employees and building a team.
@@ryanhoward1013 God you talk some shit! I could buy and sell Chris ten times over if I wanted, and I have no malice towards him. Its purely an observation that he could have a better return in his investment. Unlike you, I do live in a free country and was only making comment based on a comment that someone else had made. Sounds like your the one with the problem.
@@Couchtripper Trust, familiarity and maybe some financial incentives. Brand loyalty is a pretty common phenomenon; just observe Chevy vs Ford owners as just one example.
@@mula2626 @ThisisMindoMint didn't say they did... But when Chris went to buy a large machine last year he got the run around and had to settle with the Hyundai... @ThisisMindoMint was just implying the execs made things right and sold Chris a new machine and admonished the underlings who messed up is all
Hahahaha...... Volvo should have gave him the same deal as this 350 for a brand new 460 that I think would be a better fit for him, but that's just my opinion. Either way Volvo should make sure Chris is always using Volvo excavators & haul trucks for marketing reasons. He's a good operator, has a good attitude, runs a good business, and puts out good videos with a growing subscriber list. 💪👍🍻🇺🇲
It's amazing how this one client is doing so much to explode Chris' business into the next levels! I had a similar situation with my lawn care company back in the 90's. I was mowing a commercial lot and he pulled up and waved me over and next thing I knew, I was basically his property manager for all his commercial properties! I had to hire more help, buy more equipment and it just kept getting crazier and crazier! He had me for all of my services; fertilizing, weed control, lawn care, landscaping and snow removal! Happily retired now! Keep up the great work, Chris!
I saw the commercial Chris did for Hyundai showing off their big haul truck and excavator. The ones he used to build that huge circular pond and thought shots fired. Looks like it worked. Here comes the big Volvo. lol.
. It's a year and a half lead on new equipment these days. It's going to several more years for the supply chain to finally get fully straightened out for manufacturers to get caught up with demand plus on lot equipment to sell. At least prices have come down to inflation adjusted pre-pandemic prices. Immediately after the pandemic ended prices were thru the roof on used equipment. Clint at his C&C equipment channel explained it on one of his auction videos.
Two comments. I knew when you bought that Hyundai, Volvo was not going to let it go! Second, if anyone has any doubt how business is going for Chris, this ought to tell you everything you need to know. Congratulations!!
Volvo was already building this i bet when he got the Hyundai. He needed a bigger one right then , so he got what was available at the time. Volvo doesnt worry about what one guy buys, even if he has a popular channel. Most of his viewers arent in the market to buy a new Volvo. Now, if some big construction company or mining outfit was about to spend several millions of dollars on new equipment, you can bet they would start reaching out and playing along.
I'm a retired carpenter . Knowing how to weld comes in handy . Every carpenter should know how to do at least basic plumbing, masonry\concrete and electrical , how to shoot grade and even operate equipment a little bit .
@@jerrymclean8075 A lifetime in the construction trade has shown me that there are indeed many wood butchers calling themselves carpenters. But my original comment was never meant as a negative towards carpenters, it was meant simply as a bit of banter shared between tradesmen.
Volvo knows a good customer like Chris / letsdig18 and these videos does help their sales. I've been a subscriber for a few years now, and I can assure you that this man does NOT buy 'second rate' equipment.
Barney is still a good size for most of Chris' jobs and is in good condition. Barney also fits in tighter spots than a larger truck and has a tighter turning radius. Barney is DEF free!
I said the same thing! Chris is The Only Man on You Tube that puts in the time in labor proving over and over again a level of adeptness and integrity, dedicated to doing every job the best it can be. His work ethic is second to none. Period! His name will become akin to a job well done.
My guess for the new attachment is one that grabs the tree, a saw cuts it near the base and the tree is laid down where the operator wants it to go. Have good days!
OMG!! Congratulations Chris!! Excited to see this machine in your fleet!! Can t wait to see it on whatever project to have in mind!! Remember when John got the 290!!
You wanna bet? I know a couple “operators” who could f**k that up in 2sec. They’d have the paint wore off the counterweight faster than off the bucket. 😂
woah. congrats. cool to see the fleet grow. i was a landscraper when i started watching 10+ years ago now ive been an operator for the last 8. congrats on the growth chris. soon we may catch you with gps doing big sites like charlie i think
Unless Chris intends to do a lot of other work than dig with this machine a thumb just adds weight out on the end of the stick. Additionally Chris said something similar to what I just said a couple of few months ago. Although with Chris saying he is working with AMI on something trick who knows what he/they might have hidden up their sleeves
@@warrenmichael918 hard to find companies that have good customer relationships or even care about customers, anymore! Seems like they care more about political agendas or what the CFO wants more then customers or their products!
theres already a cupple day in the life vids on volvo's channel of chris am sre they will be out to help set some stuff up before its needed for more than digging up some trees
Mikes business does a lot more smaller jobs , some of them in cramped areas. It seems that when Mike has a larger dirt moving job, like some of the bigger ponds, he goes to the 850's to move mass quantities of dirt. 2 different ways and both work.
If you're getting a processing head for the new machine it's going to be a game changer! To be able to cut, fell, delimb, measure and cut to specific lengths without letting go of the whole tree is amazing. To watch someone who has been doing that in a logging operation is a great skill. I would think that logger Wade had something to do with that.
Yes, because everyone who spends millions iof $$ on their equipment cares what a youtuber uses for his business. Hahahaha! Some of you people are so clueless. Oh my.
@videodistro jeez, nothing like being a bit jealous, you have left this comment a few times, it is great advertising, I wouldn't have thought of pricing let alone testing a volvo machine without this channel
@@gaslight5 he isnt wrong though. Yes, its good advertising but realistically how many of viewers of his are even in the business or need a big new machine? If anyone is actually interested in buying this expensive of a machine, they most likely have been operating one for a while and already know what they are looking for. Now people that are looking for one most likely could be on here searching for reviews and channels using the machine to see how they like it and that could be of use but its not very many people in total. Its still sweet to see Chris doing so well and getting another new rig !!
Sure, jealous of someone I don't know in a different business than me. Haha! Go back to your mom's basement little boy. Your silly comment doesn't change reality. Volvo does not serve Chris. He paid big bucks for everything he buys. It's called real life.
You work so hard at always doing the best job for your clients. You deserve to have the best equipment…CONGRATULATIONS Chris!! I’m sure your Grandaddy’s smiling watching from Heaven…🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️♥️🇺🇸🇺🇸
I would love to see a bucket size demo of each piece of equipment. From the smallest skid steer all the way thru the largest excavator you have to date. Just line them up and dump each one right next to each other!! That will be cool!!
Congrats LetsDig18 so happy for you on the Volvo 350E purchase. It's a beauty and beautiful. Excitement all round and have a ball using it. New attachment - AMI does it well so will be worth the wait.
Holy cow patties! There's no stopping you now! Congrats on another beautiful machine for the fleet. You can tell the bucket is huge but it's still a bit deceptive lol. I'm looking forward to seeing your surprise for the new machine.
As fun as that would be a 550 is to hard to transport to be practical for the kind of work Chris does. Chris said almost exactly the same thing at the end of the job where Volvo let him demo a 550. Key part of the job was Volvo paid the transport bill and sent their mechanic to put the machine in/out of transport mode.
Wow, sir!! The new face of your Volvo fleet is beautiful. I hate people saying, “you deserve it”. So I’ll say you definitely work your ass off and earned it. Congratulations!!
