That’s how it always goes. Every time I used to do the Peachtree road race, which is a 10k on black pavement on July 4th in GA, so humid, 100% sun the whole way, pure hell, I’d always say I’d never do it again but when the signups came in April I’d sign up again
In November I was brutally assaulted and beaten walking back to my hotel on a work trip. I was in the best shape of my life after losing 125lbs. And suddenly it was all gone. Pelvis broken straight through, brain bleeding in 3 locations, 7 broken bones between my right hand and wrist, and a broken nose with a collapsed left airway. Had all 4 reconstructive surgeries in a week, and then was basically bed bound until January. January 3rd I get cleared to walk again. Already signed up for a 50mi ultra May 20th, I decided to give it my all. So I relearn to walk, then relearn to run, and just keep moving forward. May 20th rolls around and though I wasn't as ready as I'd like to be, I did it. 10 hours and 44 minutes later, I crossed that finish line. Thank you Cody for always inspiring me to keep going, for reminding me to keep training fun, and to hop back on track when things don't go as planned. Thank you so much, and congratulations on the Ironman. You're a badass.
Chode, thank you again for adding more challenges to your life for our entertainment. This has been a reliable outlet for me and inspired me to workout more. This way, I'm in better shape and will feel more confident telling my wife's boyfriend "no" when he asks me to do chores for him in my own house. Cheers mate, steady on.
oh my god i’m so glad it wasn’t just me i like had to turn the volume all the way down i get shivers down my whole spine i can’t even go back and hear what they said

I randomly started running recently. I haven’t really ever ran before in my entire life, and I was getting frustrated with that fact that I’ve been telling myself I couldn’t do long distance for as long as I can remember. For the first time in a long time I feel genuinely healthy, motivated, and strong, and I’ve set my sights on a half marathon close by in a couple months. It might not be the biggest deal but it’s a big deal to me and would come as a shock to anyone who knows me. Ive been wanting to tell someone about it but not really sure who would care so I’m saying it here. Cody, thanks for the motivation and, genuinely, thank you for sharing your journey. I love all the videos and your excitement about your newfound passion. It may have helped me find one myself. choo choo motherfuckers see you in a couple months
Cody, I have to admit I didn't watch your training videos (but subscribed bc you're the dude) because I was self conscious of my own fitness journey and didn't want to feel I was doing it wrong. I watched your video on the day you did iron man and ever since that I've been binging this channel. I never thought I'd say it, but I'm running a marathon in the fall. I've never been a cardio girl ever. You inspired someone who never thought they would choose to run. I appreciate it brother.
i’ve been using LMNT for over a year because of my chronic illness and just now found out that it’s not said as LMNT it’s element😅 the shock that i just felt
Cody, I had my exam today, I do physiotherapy and I had to run a 5k, I did not have the chance to train due to injury. Had to run in under 25 minutes. I got 24 min 59s, when I was struggling, I thought of you. You inspired me. I appreciate this channel a lot.
honestly, i was so excited for you to do your iron man. watching you tear up crossing the finish line made me tear up too LOL. your channel has inspired me so much and because of you, i signed up to do my first marathon next spring. Part of me was (selfishly) super sad when you finished your race because i have enjoyed this channel so much and didnt want it to end. It has been a reliable source of joy for the past 8 months, and the thought of you not posting on here was kind of a bummer. Im so glad youre still uploading and creating content for us. At the end of the day, we are all so happy for you and want the best for you. If adding more challenges into your life is what you like doing, then you can guarantee we will all be ecstatic to watch those videos. dont just do it for us!!!! we will always appreciate you either way. Cody, I just wanna say thank you for being the most authentic and chill youtuber out there right now bro. I always watch your stuff when I feel unproductive or uninspired- and your videos always make me want to get up and achieve something. Energy is everything
I have never really been much of a runner - I played basketball in high school but was never really fast. Now that spring has *actually* arrived in Minnesota, I have started running with my dog as often as I can. We usually run a two mile loop and I am barely breaking 25 minutes (yikes) but because of this channel, I can adjust my mindset. I constantly remind myself of the things you remind yourself: like setting small goals, I.e: I just have to make it to the next stop sign, the next driveway, etc. It has helped a ton! Thanks Cody! CHOO CHOO!!!
Hey Cody! I've been wanting to start working out for a LONG time and never got myself to it. Watching your videos and seeing your progress has given me motivation little by little and I'm going to start going to the gym this summer when summer break starts. Thanks for doing these videos. Keep up the good work, energy is everything!!
I got done with my first Triathlon yesterday, kicked ass! I found this channel about two weeks ago, and it was everything I needed, thank you! Keep doing great things ❤️
BACK AT IT! Let's go, Mr. Trains! Would love to see a video about your prep and recovery to keep your body functioning for these runs. My knees are the bane of my existence and I want to see how others are maintaining! Keep going, Cody. Appreciate you!
Cody, following you since your first Thats cringe and damn I’m proud of you. Really gives a perspective in your life/training setting targets in a healthy way.
Plan on training for my first marathon after doing a bunch of half’s so I think I’m def going to use your code. Thank you for sharing I get it’s your job but it’s great to finally use something you promote on you page!
i’m competing at the national hobby horse exhibition of the world in a 2 weeks and these videos have really helped me push past my goals and keep me motivated. thanks you so much for inspiring me to ascend!! 🐴❤️📈🧗♀️

Ran my first race ever this weekend! Half Marathon!!!!! Trained the last 4 months for it. I think I have a stress fracture in my foot after it but I am so damn proud of myself. Thanks to Cody and this community. CHOO CHOO
Loved the video great to see Cody back on this channel, but that chicken meatball fork sound almost killed me. I've never heard anyone in my life every so aggressively scrape the bowl with a fork. Excited to watch that 50 miler a little more now ;)
Ahahh, the circular arm motion when you’re talking about fish and chips makes it look so much like you’re galloping. Excited for 50k! Happy belated Sa Mon day
may i just say that listening to you scrape your fork against the meatball and rice bowl is by far the most harrowing thing i have had to endure as a viewer of this channel
