Street driving a CGT in traffic would be hell! Pretty sure that is why it is not going on Gum Ball 3000...as well as the depreciation it would take from the extra mileage.

I challenge you to find anyone in Europe who finds it hard to drive. I find it hilarious to be honest, every time Damon tries to explain how you have to use the clutch in the CGT I'm just thinking "So....Exactly how I was taught when I was first learning to drive" To be fair, we learn very differently than in the US, and I have no idea how Canadians learn. In the UK, the average person has 40-50 hours of driving lessons (Usually in a manual, you get a restricted licence if you do your test in an auto) before they take their test to be allowed to drive unsupervised

@@dyent Every owner says the same thing, the love the car and then they regret selling it; some will get another one but then sell it again for the same reason...the clutch. They don't want to devalue the car by saying this and take a huge loss on the investment. Everyone drives differently...but you learned the correct way, but driving around a track it quickly it would be so easy to shift a bit to quick and get on the gas a split second too early and you smell clutch burning. No way anyone could track that car competitively without burning that clutch out...it happens on all cars; but they don't all need a $40K usd engine out clutch job. I would love to drive one, but I would refuse to because of that cost and risk. It is incredibly impractical and that is why they never used that clutch ever again; and why they never built as many as they planned on either...because of lost sales from the clutch life issues. There were a few early adopters who didn't make it a month and they needed a new clutch when they first came out.

Ooh I miss my little srt4 neon. It was making 450 at the boost I was running at but it was running fat tho. I just never turned the boost up all the way because I would daily it along with a super slow gas sipper. But everyone lived that car and I did too. I left it in my moms garage while I was away for a month and my youngest brother took it out without any coolant in it and drove it like it was normal and just melted it down. Even the turbo was basically melted stuck. I bought the new engine and turbo for it but didn’t have the time to fix it and everyone that I took it too backed out.
