I do know on other cases the cyclops location is off def. On dial, the feet are not for a 3135, you will need dial dots. I hate cutting off feet. But it will need to be done bc they will not fit on a 3135. Feet on my dial are at 12 and 6 oclock. 2813 would be more true to this model, but the date window will not aline. You can use an overlay. I personally think however, the 3135 is the best fit and best movement to use. Everything just fits perfectly minus the dial feet.
I also believe that the Gen bezel insert may be an issue. I could be wrong. Love to hear all your notes or see a video on the complete build. Thanks for the content.
The sub case that you have takes a 2824 movement. It should come with a movement ring and that along with tabs and screws will hold everything in. That being said, if you have a gen dial , a 3135 should work (stem height should be the same) but as you mentioned, the date window won’t line up bc it’s made for ETA. You’d have to replace crystal with Clark’s that is for 3135.
I thought he included a movement spacer for the ETA2824. He explains that on his website. He even explains that without the movement spacer a NH35 would work with this case.
What I think either save up to buy the real thing and you can feel proud about it for having the patience to get the money together to buy one , I just wouldn’t feel right with something fake on my wrist, I saved up for 5 years for example so I could buy myself a deep sea seadweller the difference between a fake and the real thing once you have it in front of you , you’ll see and the money you spent on the replicas you could of saved for the real deal
But thats not the point. The whole reason for this channel is to creat. I can be just as proud to build a real one or save one thats been parted out and reconstruct a real one. You will learn from replicas as not to destroy a real one. After fighting with a 3135 clone, youll have no issue on a real one. Thats how i now servíce real ones making a bit. Then you have those of us who like replicas, the history of replicas, and the various ones out there which helps others not fall prey to scams. I am more proud knowing I made one myself from genuine parts then just going out to buy one. Bc anyone can just buy a rolex. But only the finest can build one with their own hands. Food for thought. The cost of high-end watch ownership is magnitudes beyond what the watch truly is worth. For those who decided to go the route and save up and buy the watch of their dreams, I say go for it. For those who want to build their own and have the means and ability, I say go for it as well. The few individuals who have this ability are not going to dilute the mega-brand marketplace of any one brand. And as one who has genuine high-end brand watches, if I could do this for a Milgauss, I would in a heartbeat as I don't want to spend the kind of money these watches are going for currently. I wouldn't go buy one off the streets but I'd be proud to wear it knowing that I built it up.
