I was never into making music as a kid. I gave up on guitar in middle school because I was unable to learn how to play songs I liked at the time. Flash forward to 30 years old, and I’ve become a one man band with various instruments and loopers. I still haven’t learned to play the songs I listen to… but I learned a thing or two about sound design and creating atmospheric textures.
I’m forging my own path here. I’d never make it in a band, anyway. If it wasn’t for my inability to match the beat of other musicians, it would come down to my personal choice to freely express myself by wearing the clothes I want to wear. It doesn’t change the person I am, but it does scare away bigots, including an individual that I thought I could’ve started a band with at one time.
So I rely on loopers and ignore any hatred. I’m 30. I don’t need to be liked by everyone. I have my wife, and my best friends are by my side. My rhythm is my own 100%.

First off, that guitar looks freakin' sick! Are the slanted frets to get a better sound from even temperament? Second, Gorgeous lush soundscape as always. Really enjoyed listening to it. Third, I resonate with what you said in the description. I attempted music, whether guitar or music production, several times. It wasn't till I was in my late 20s when music started to click for me. I also realized, that attempting to learn to play guitar for the songs I liked, would kill my drive and self-confidence. Instead, I find it more freeing to just make my own thing and improvise. I might not sound the best, but it's me and something I created. I also find it hard to play with other musicians, because my skill and timing isn't where it needs to be to play well with others. Fourth, all that said, I still think we should do an ambient band together, even if only for a day! I think we could create some epic soundscapes together!

Yeah, I believe the slanted frets are for playability as it moves further closer to the body. I think that it's a great idea to do a project or several together, depending on how it all goes. On Saturday my wife and I are heading out of town to celebrate our first wedding anniversary for a few days. Let's chat on Discord and figure something out for the middle of next week if you want! I'd be down for it.
