I love her fathers pride in the whole thing. Him showing us his favorite picture, doing his best to make the room "cute" and pointing out the details like the blanket he really liked. You don't see a lot of dads who are either able or willing to do things like this. I just love how proud he is of her and how much love he poured into this surprise for her.
Yeah, and as someone who as grown up with an abusive dad, recently having to block him from my social media and phone it is so good for me to see that there are dads out there who are what I would want my dad to be. Mia is so lucky and I feel really grateful to be able to take part in their wholesome lives
Mia spends her entire time renovating and decorating others rooms and houses and surprising them. At first I thought her room was gonna be very cool but I was touched when I saw her room so simple (like she didn’t have time to take cate of her own needs coz she is always puts others first) .. Denisejulia Benn this is a hard thing to acquire my moms a single mom and we do stuff together but we are actually opposite and don’t like or want to do the same things together she gets annoyed with me after being around me after ten minutes her parents have a lot of energy

i swear, her family is so similar (in personality) to mine that it is hilarious for me to watch. they remind me so much of my parents, which is sweet as i am far from them this semester.
This is what a healthy family looks like. I know nothing is perfect, however, the way you smile and talk respectfully to each other is just so refreshing. Mia, the way you are so appreciative and hug both of your mum and dad for putting your room together is a blessing. What a beautiful family. :) :)

this is proof of how pure and sweet mia truly is, she loves decor and interior design but she would rather buy things for her loved ones and surprise them with makeovers, while putting her own room behind all of theirs. it’s so sweet her parents decided to give her a surprise back, but i wouldn’t suspect anything less from the maples!
Mia got her positivity from her parents!!! Dad: It would’ve been nice if it’s a foot wider. But hey, it’s still a nice cozy space. Mom: It’s not like her room needs decorating or anything but it’s just nice to do something for her. Mia on renovating her grandparents’ home: My grans place doesn’t really need much. They are blessed to have roof over their heads and a home.

I love how Mia and her parents acknowledge videos they make remodeling or even buying things in general, arent a "need". But absolutely appreciate the fact that they each show each other effort and care with the "wants" here and there and bond by doing cool projects like these. I wish my parents and I had the opportunity to connect like this while I was growing up. Hopefully my daughter and I will be able to have something like this 😊
This video makes me love Mia even more. Just the fact that her room was so simple and plain yet she always was decorating others rooms. She is so humble and selfless. Not only is her content super fun, but she is also an amazing role model. I wanna be MIA when I grow up.

Good thing family is a choice (after 18 years) :) I don’t recommend basing your self worth off family dynamics, despite societal standards of an “acceptable” family dynamic. You can’t control it and you aren’t responsible for your family, it’s all a choice

This is sowonderful. A pure act of love. This family is so beautiful and sweet. The fact that her parents want to pull off such a big surprise for her shows how much they love eachother. They didn't just say thank you for what she's done, they quite literally returned the favor and put thought into each item they brought into her room. I just love this so much.

yeah my parents did it when we were kids so we know what to call them and i guess they got used to it but sometimes i hear them calling each other "Mahal" it means love here

What a sweet family! To me, it came together with that little light on the nightstand. It gave out such a warm glow - it made the room look so inviting. With so much cold color in with the white - the addition of that little lamp and the wallpaper really made it cozy instead of "cold" feeling!
The amount of love this family holds is infinite and it’s so nice that Mia’s parents are so thoughtful for repaying a favour after she didn’t have time! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I wish I had this relationship with my parents, specifically my dad. I love them to bits, but my relationship with my dad isn't the best. Y'all are so blessed to have such a wonderful and loving family!
