Yeah. I do it for a couple reasons. On the Thills, all I want to see is the orange tip. The other and main reason is it helps preserve the bobbers. Helps keep them from getting water logged.
hi. What are the black things above the beads?/bobber stops? How long do you like your leaders? Also do you order the strike indicators online? Looks like a nice setup. I've always used cheap Walmart combos but am going to invest in some quality gear this year. Great video!
Yes sir, those are bobber stops. I usually use 8 to 10 inch leaders. The strike indicators are "lil corkys strike indicator" I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
this isnt really about the setups. but when im out fishing i see others whip ther epoles to sink there lines to keep it from having slack but when i do it i still get slack. any tips? im still newer to paylaking and wanting to not to be a hassle to those around me
@@deanbruce7557 Gotcha. So if the line is new, just keep using it. Eventually, it will get to the point where it sinks. If you've used it for a while, here's a couple tips. If it's a windy day, forget about fishing off the bottom. You'll have line all over the lake. Another thing I do, is after I make the cast, i'll stick the tip of the rod in the water and reel just a little bit. That always puts my line under the water. I actually had my rod holders built so that they angle so that the tip of the rod is almost in the water.
10" and it got a very little in it from sinking. Iv used other standard floats and used same weight if not more with no issue. If it won't float a sinker it won't float a big ol piece of cutbait.
Thill big fish slider float 10 inch bet it wont sink i use ounce of weight and plus 4 to 6 inch brim as bait never fails me and just use some electric tape to put the glow stick on with instead of taping the whole floater.
They don't on my Komodo 364 but I don't like them for rockets. I like the skinnier ones for those. They still don't get hung up but I can definitely feel them hit the guide. I'm not real sure of the size. Not the smallest, but not the biggest either. I'm wanting to think they are for a 10lb line but they do well with the 80lb 832.
Thank you. I’ve tried the regular strings for bobber stops but they always seem to slip even after I tighten them up. I have 80 pound braid spooled onto an Abu Garcia 6500 Rocket.
Joshua D Are you using regular fishing line for bobber stops? If so,(because I use other fishin line) if you are making them out of line like me or put them on like I do,the MORE wraps you put around your main line the more tighter it gets an harder to move. The less loops the more easier it is to slide.
Hey I appreciate you checking out my video even though it says PAYLAKE in the title. You help my views go up and I appreciate it. Please come back as much as you'd like .
