Was just diagnosed with PCOS and this is the first video I found cause I have no idea what it even is. Thanks for uploading this, I definitely relate. Esp the adrenal burnout. ❤
girl same. i had my first period of the age of 15, and it would be super irregular. went over a year without getting periods until i went to a gynecologist and they just gave me duphaston to start my period. Which would give me like one or two periods and again stop. again i went over like a year without my period cause it was like you said, very convenient. but the physical symptoms started to really show up, the puffiness, facial hair and chest hair and leg hair and wherever else, acne and gaining so much weight despite having an active lifestyle. i finally went to a endocrinologist and he did all of my hormone tests just to tell me to take birth control and aldectone (androgen blocker). sure i did lose weight and get my period every month, it worked for like a year and it just stopped working. i gained all 15kgs i lost despite my workouts, diet and medication being the same. i got so frustrated about it and went to a different endocrinologist only for them to do months of testing and again give me birth control. i went on their plan for 6 months and didn't do shit, i didn't lose any weight and i know the only reason i was getting my period of because I'm taking birth control. it's just overriding my hormones. it's not actually tackling the route cause. so i wish you actually answered how you overcame your pcos. sure getting good sleep, lowering stress levels and cutting off toxic people/bad relationships definitely did work for me too. but like what kind of diet are you on? keto? gluten and dairy free? low gi? or just doing a caloric deficit? what kind of workouts are you doing? strength training? Pilates? hiit? a mix of all? are you getting daily steps in? which supplements are you taking? inositol? magnesium? l-carnitine? I'm sorry for the long post but I'm just so lost and I've gained so much weight, i have acne all over my forehead, I've done multiple laser sessions so no more hair but pretty sure it would be a lot more again now if i hadn't done it. so i recently started eating 30g of protein with every meal, strength training 5 times a week, getting atleast 7k steps in most days of the week. taking supplements. getting 8hrs of sleep everyday. it's only been a couple of weeks since i started this routine so I'm not sure whether this will reverse my pcos symptoms or not. but since you were able to i would like to know specifically what were the changes in your intake and movement.
are you getting your period now or are you still on birth control? Your new routine sounds great! It can take a few months to see progress from a new routine. Have you noticed a difference with the supplements you're currently taking ?
@@luckylifepodcast i stopped taking birth control just two weeks ago. i hope i will get my periods next month. so far i think i feel less inflamed. usually i would have some puffiness around my face and eyes. and i think overall my mood is a bit better.
If you do not have any dangerous underlying conditions, heart related or kidney related, please please please try inositol (ovasitol brand is the best) and berberine. These two have changed my life. I lost 10 kgs and never gained back. Pcos settled, hair fall issue gone, thyroid fixed, pre diabetes fixed. So these two are bomb. Also try magnesium, D3, omega 3s.
Hey Melissa! I have PCOS too, I wanted to ask, do you still experience fatigue and low cortisol or is your cortisol back to normal. Trying to work my PCOS out, thank you for helping so much❤❤
