OK, that needle! 😱😱 I couldn’t see or really feel what was happening, so looking at the footage, I realized how intense this looks. I promise it felt fine! I’m still really happy with my results and highly recommend PDO threads, but only if you find the right expert to do it. I hope that’s a big takeaway from this video. I researched this treatment for two years and didn’t feel comfortable doing it until I found Vanessa and saw some of her work/talked to people who went to her. I also let Vanessa know how hesitant I was about this treatment before I got it done. She went into a lot of detail and answered all of my questions, so I felt really comfortable with my decision to see her.
I've considered it, but I don't know if I could deal with all the needles and if it would last. I've tried Botox twice and it has worn off within two months, so I don't know if something like this would last, either.
I'm sorry but am i the only person who doesn't even see a problem? I think Susan looks perfectly fine even before. But i can understand that one can have few insecurities that others don't even notice so it's completely fine :)
I couldn't agree more!!! Its the worse thing to do. Its useless! You just swell after the procedure and this swelling which lasts for some days give the effect of a difference which flies away after the swelling goes down.
I think half, if not the whole, reason sometimes she undergoes these procedures is for demonstration and the educational objectives of her channel. So she's really using herself as the main Guinea pig for this purpose, regardless of her real, objective need for them (that tends to be overstated most of the time), which is hard to imagine she's not cognizant of given that being realistic, learning from past mistakes and evidence-based seem to be the strongest thrust in her philosophy in being a skincare and beauty journalist-at-large who is permanently on assignment and in the field. 😜😁
Problem with these young influencers...they create reasons to have facial procedures. Starting these procedures so young leads to a life long hamster in a wheel cycle.
As a black woman I had this done 4 years ago in San Francisco. It was amazing! I was 55 at the time & she snatched my complete face with PDO THREADS! There was no pain b4 or after. My complete face lasted 3 years but black skin holds very well. I paid $4,100 for full face jaw line tear trough fillers. That being said I'm 59½ & over due but covid happend & I'm not wasting good money to hid behind a mask. I highly recommend this procedure
For me that’s quite a bit of money to only last 3yrs and it sounds like that’s not the norm. Congratulations on your transformation though. I’m happy you like it.
Update- the practitioner said she wouldn’t do it. Wouldn’t last long enough to justify the cost. Not three years, more like three weeks. Ladynia lucked out, apparently. Ended up with fillers and Botox and scheduled RF micro needling ………. Oh…. And hurt. It all hurts. Yes, they numb. But still stings and aches after. I have a high pain threshold. It was rather unpleasant. But I look amazing!

The idea of threads skeeves me out for some reason but these results speak for themselves 😍 I’m only 28 so this is something I don’t need soon but definitely good to know that you can get results like this if you go to the right person!
Oh thank you for this! I am turning 36 in January and while I feel pretty good about my skin, health, and regimen I am interested in some...rejuvenation if you will. I love your transparency and honesty, there is 100% nothing wrong with wanting to look your best and it is better for all of us if people are just honest about what it takes to get certain results. The fact she doesn’t something like “I’m the best @ this”, etc. says a lot. She seems very well experienced, knowledgeable & trained without having to actually say it. I like that. 👍 Also, those needles puncturing thru?! 😅 I’m in the med field & watching it VS doing or in the room is so diff for me. 😵💫
Your jawline looks amazing! I did PDO smooth threads under my eyes to smooth out some creepy skin that I was starting to get and it worked like a charm and was a very comfortable procedure.

Although I dont appreciate any kind of treatments on myself I dont oppose people doing it. . I mean hey do what makes you happy . . I am more of no makeup person but I like skincare and hence I am an ardent follower of your skincare journey. . . I would be so happy if you update more on your melasma journey. I dont suffer from any skin care issue but I love your melasma journey . . It has diminished considerably
Would love to hear a follow up on your PDO threads, how do they feel after 4 mos, do you feel the threads, are there any discomforts or any puckering? Do you think it has held up the skin well? Do you think you need to do more to reinforce? Do you think it is worth it?
This came up in my feed today. I’ve been in search of something to help in the same area. I’ll be 40 next year, and I’ve had 2 children in the past 6 years. After my first was born, I lost 100 lbs. My skincare has become immaculate in that time, thanks to you and others like you. Some day, I’ll save up enough to try this out… kids are EXPENSIVE 😂
I got this done in January 2021, results were gone completely by early April , threads are so short lived and expensive if it wasn't so tragic, it would be comical. I dont like filler but even that is more worth the $
@Nia Rountree Im glad that happened. The threads are made from the same compounds, they dissolve the same your not different then other people. From what i was told by my surgeon 6 months is the limit so it sounds about right , however, like you said you shelled out a lot more money. You could of had a facelift by now and called it a day. Not worth the money IMO
Thats what Im worried about. I am 48 and not psychologically ready for a FL and cant pay for one right now. I need some lift on my jaw line and cheeks. Filler and Botox arent doing much anymore..I keep hearing these threads are painful, expensive and results are minimal. Ugh. Decisions.
Ive had threads all in my face and around my lips. They really are kinda magical bcuz you see improvement immediately instead of a few days or weeks later. Theres minimal swelling, for me anyway I had a 1 inch long depressed scar on my chest and I had a thread put in and its now barely recognizable. ✌🤘🤟🤘🤟✌ Your jawline looks great. I saw ladies (aestheticians) here on YT doing their own threads with great results - not that I would recommend that, but the results were amazing because they were creating a sort of skin support structure, plus the threads also stimulate collagen production. They were applying the threads everywhere...

Girl just wait. I went from what u have at about 38 to full blown skin issue by the time 45 rolls around. It was like the second I started noticing that tiny issue it turned into a big issue at lightning speed. 40+ the skin degrades so much compared to 25-30 etc. I swear by threads.
Wait so she is a RN? I'm so confused, not a NP, MD, DO but a RN. In a future video can your team like talk about a medical professionals background because I bet she must be specialized right and have a a certain board certified training or have some sort of license. I mean if she was a NP she could prescribe you pain mess or something if you had a reaction right?

I love how this channel focuses on new technologies for beauty and etc. but sometime when these hosts do things like look at my anti aging cream , facials etc. it’s hard for me to really take their opinion when they admit to Botox and fillers … I mean maybe it’s just me. Thanks for sharing
