You're actually a real cool guy Mark. You've got some really nice pieces there and very down to earth even though one or two are rather expensive. No boasting or bragging, just a down to earth vid sharing some of your charming watches. Thumbs up dude.
I like your taste in watches. Not overly pretentious like most watch guys. You can appreciate fine craftsmanship along with the low and mid range brands.
Hey Marc... Last watch, add your logo in blue and if it can be day/date (NH36A SII) with white print on black background, for me resistance would be futile! 👍
I've had to correct the folks I work with on this point. The customer/client always gets what he wants, but if he was always right he would have my job. I'm paid to always be right FOR him.
At 6:12. Love how you casually stuck it to the disgruntled watch buyer! It’s now a collector’s item & there was nothing wrong with it in the first place. Poetic Justice at it’s finest!!!!! Happy Holidays Marc. I’m a Subscriber & Customer. Best wishes to you & your loved ones!
Just ordered and received a phoibos quartz dive watch from you guys. Love it. Fast shipping. I will certainly be buying from you again. Love the vids. Thanks Mark!!
Hey, you and I have the same watch! I have one of those blue dial Orient original, discontinued divers. It's a daily wear watch that's beat to hell and still works great, but like Orient is prone to the bracelet sucked and I replaced it years ago. I have the same model Orient diver with a black face and the gold trimmed stainless case and bracelet. That one is in new condition, it hasn't been on my wrist more than 40 hours since I bought it. I bought both of them together, one for a daily wear watch and one solely for dress occasions, in 2008. Neither has ever been serviced, neither has ever been opened. Both "live" in a cheap ($40 +/-) watch winder and both run as good as the day I took them out of their packaging.
Thank you so much for sharing your Divers Collection, I love the fact you have a Seiko SKX009K1, so not even the Japanese/Homeland version, says so much about you and THAT watch, truly EPIC! I love you're channel and collection, I feel my first Islander Watch coming 'home' this year?
Love the Yachtmaster as well. I hadn't thought too much of it until I saw one in the flesh, and then I was really impressed. That dial really is first rate.
In November I purchased a Seiko SKX 009J from you, and had it modified to my liking. Great job. I wouldn't have even though about buying one until I started watching your videos. Glad I did and couldn't be happier. Will be highly recommending you to my friends. Keep up all the good work!
My first watch and only watch from 16 years ago until a couple months ago is a dive watch and although I appreciate my new watche, it made me appreciate the lume and the bezel.
Hello Mark ,that's a superb collection. Well ,my favourite piece you got is the one you don't like !!!! I just love that black Seiko Turtle. Wish you luck.
So cool that you kept your first analog watch, and it was a diver. 👍 I still have my very first watch, given to me by my father in 1966, a mechanical Caravelle diver, long since worn slap out. 😉
Fascinating! I like your choices. Very nice grouping. Until you mentioned it, I thought for sure that we'd see the Matic on the white Barton, but we see that one All. The. Time. so it wasn't a disappointment. So it looks like the best way to give you a watch is to buy one, keep it for way too long and send it back and say "there's something wrong with it". I'm taking notes. [wink]
I currently have 9 watches and 7 of them are divers. I've probably had 30 or 40 dive watches over the years and have one on my wrist 99% of the time (rocking my skx 175 right now) and I've never been diving in my life :)
I thought I had a watch problem ! That's a lot of Japanese activity happening there although some nice pieces. The experiment at the end looks pretty good actually. I've had a few Seiko watches myself and found that they are hard to move on in the pre-owned market, can't give them away, but I still buy one occasionally.
That Seiko White Knight is like a hidden gem! I think you just gave me the urge to find a white diver to add to my collection. The Mako USA might be it.
I wanted a white dial Mako USA but couldn't buy one as a European and recently got a white dial Heimdallr/Sharkey SKX homage instead just to see what it is like. Funny enough it completely cured my Mako-lust somehow. They're not perfect by any means, but I just fell completely in love with this watch. It is so gorgeous and accurate and affordable that I have no problems forgiving it its quirks, or maybe love it even more because of them..? Definitely look in to them if you're looking to buy a white dial diver. They come with a two year warranty and have a superb customer service too.
hello mark, what a really cool collections you've got there. my personal favorite is the orient 100m diver. really resemble like submariner. is it wind and hack?
This was a great video! I like the faster pace because most reviewers will go on and on about the most minute details when all I want to see is the basics. It also gives an inside view of the watch business. After a lifetime of stereo business it’s interesting to see a lot of the same type of things go on in my latest passion business.
Sweet collection Mark, but I feel you need a Doxa in your life. My current diver list: Skx 173, Skx 007, Cit Bn0000-04 - (the watch that introduced this feverish addiction to watches in general), Orient USA Mako in white, Original Sumo, Glycine Sub Combat, Doxa 300 Sharkhunter. Selling the Sub combat, but the rest are keepers, and the doxa will be passed down to the next gen.
Yours last watch is a killer! Please start a production of it. BTW you are one of few watch collectors that I respect, owning Rolex and Seiko. Not of those rich snobs who are "ashamed" owning Seiko besides their Pateks, Rolex etc. Great collection. Best regards from the Croatian coastline, seating one my terrace in a nice summer evening, drinking beer while watching yours video, wearing my Citizen Marine auto😀.
It is really nice to see what a watch expert has in his collection. The one that I really love is that blue Squale. Surprised seeing a lot of Orients, nothing against them, I own a few myself. Great collection, look forward to seeing more
Wow almost exact same story for my Rolex Submariner. My daughter was born in August 2006. Bought mine new in March 2006. It has a special connection for me with her. The only watch that I’ll never sell.
It’s hard to stop collecting them! I decided on one, the Citizen Promaster Ecodrive ISO certified diver. Then it became 2 with the classic Pepsi Turtle PADI, then on the radar it’s the Orient Kamasu with red dial and bezel. It’s become an illness!😂😂😂. To cure me I went out and bought a Casioak ga2100 😜😂
Love your custom SKXy. Hope it sees the light of day. Right in that opening group shot of your collection that is the one watch that caught my attention. Nicely done!
Great video, can you recommend affordable dive watches for 6” wrist size, preferably 36mm diameter case? The only 2 I found were Glycine 36mm combat sub and seiko Midsize skx013 but both above $500.🤦♀️ . Let me know if you come across anything in the less than $100 range! Thanks
Wonderful watch collection I like the Seiko Monster, Seiko SKX009 , Seiko Turtle, Seiko White Knight. I like the Orient Marko with blue and white dial. The big Marathon Yamam is wonderful. I like the Rolex Submariner and the Rolex Yachtmaster. I like the Sinn U1 and the Sinn Chrono.
Great collection. I’m excited about tritium 100 watches and have several from Nite watch and Armourlite. Do you have any? Any thoughts on these type watches?
Dude, you are KILLING ME! You already showed me two watched I "had to have" today, which I did not have to have until your videos showed them to me. And now, you have to show me there is a MOSSAD watch!!? My lord, brother, are you going to let me keep ANY of my money today?
Hello Mark, great video with a bit of background on the watches. Oris on blue and yellow Nato, cant go wrong with the coulors of Sweden :) I got talking to neighbour across the street and he was wearing an Oris Aquis Bullhead 500, of course I told him about the store and channel. Happy customers spreds the word.
Outstanding video mark, great collection I mean hopefully we can see the rest of your collection sooner than later let's just say it's definitely on my radar
Awesome collection Mark. Your SKX with the blue hands would look perfect with the blue ceramic bezel, and dare I say the Island Ray would be stunning with a Yacht Master style bezel...or maybe a blue Triton???😊 Really great variety in your collection. As always Mark, watching your videos inspires me towards my next purchase...or two! Speaking of Yacht Master's would love to see the bezel on the last watch done on a Ray Raven. BTW. Your help in assisting with your Squale donation was exceedingly good form. It is this type of generosity and care for the customer that shows in the way you do business and brings me back to LIW as well as making you my first recommendation to anyone looking for a watch.
nice collection with taste mate. The last Seiko marineSKX is very unique looking. I like this dial and hands and bezel. But as for me I would put it on a different case, not so "banal" like skx's. Maybe Samurai's case? P. S. where do you buy your nato straps?
Bro I have a bumblebee, I guess that's the name? Very nice and accurate watch. Hardly wear it because I feel it's hard to find. I also have that Pepsi make 1st gen on rubber straps works good too. Can I get a ray 2 bracelet for it? Will it work? Thanks
No Damasko? The SUB2 is a beautiful diver from a first rate German company. That Sinn U1 is my favorite of the bunch. Thank you for all your very informative videos.
Hey Mark! Great collection of awesome divers! Definitely check out the Victorinox Dive Master 500, they make quartz and automatic versions, I picked up my automatic DM500 for $350 on bracelet, used. It houses an ETA 2892, sapphire crystal, and is a great value for what I paid! I'd highly recommend it! Also check out the Victorinox INOX Pro Diver. It's quartz, but you'll love the build quality and the fact that it can withstand a tank running over it
