My Pre-Raphaelite dream, or: how to make a Victorian Ophelia Cosplay, part two [CC]

I challenged myself to realise my Pre-Raphaelite dream and become a Victorian, Cosplaying Ophelia.
I love the work of JW Waterhouse, and I think many Pre-Raphaelite paintings are amazing and dreamy and beautiful. It’s also quite interesting to look at the how Victorians shaped their medieval historybounding fantasies. The dress in the painting I chose has Ophelia wearing a a red underdress and a blue overdress, with a border of golden lions at the hem, big open sleeves and gold embroidery at the neckline. Incredible work. Precision, taste and elegance. This dress on you is just perfect. Could be the blue matching your skin tone, the laces on the front showing your awesome curves or the embroidery. This is truly amazing. 22:32 Is it weird that I feel like your cat is a thousand-years-old mythical creature full of wisdom? It's staring into my soul... For the suggestion part, I'm not educated in art or sewing, but I DO adore Edward Robert Hughes. His painting "Monna Giovanna" shows a very beautiful outfit.

Wow! Thank you for such a lovely video. My favorite parts were, the Halloween cat (year round fun), requesting assistance with the eyelets, and I was so relieved when you chose the other man in your life to help with the finger braiding. This certainly is a dream dress. You showed such perseverance throughout all those many intricate steps. EDIT: Back to add that I was amazed when I saw you cut those beads from the thread. Jaw dropping detail! I'm glad you had fun with the embroidery.

My dream Pre-Raphaelite dress has got to be Jane Morris' Blue Silk Dress. She made it herself for Rossetti to paint her portrait. If only I could afford the quantity of shot silk taffeta it would need! One day 💚

My mum had a big print of J.W.Waterhouses' Circe Invidiosa in the living room when I was a kid , and I've maintained a strong love for that romanticised image of the medieval era ever since. So seeing this video in my suggested tab was an immediate click!
