yikes. it’s definitely a choice to entirely blame blitzo and throw a party full of people who stab pictures of him to death, while stolas is getting the pure crybaby broken boy who’s a little confused treatment

Will probably work best with two or three more episodes to make it Stolitz breakup --> Blitz starting to heal --> Stolas starting to heal --> Stolitz being healed and realizing that maybe this can work, because I like the Full Moon/Apology Tour pairing of episodes, but I hope future episodes about them will be elevated by the set up here (like AT was with FM)

I want him to realise he did the same to Blitz. If Blitz didnt prostitute himself - HE WOULDNT HAVE HIS JOB. His life, the same as the butler is in his hands.

I would LOVE that. And then I need him to realize that he doesn't even know Moxxie and Millie's names, two IMPS who showed up to save his feathery ass at the insistence of BLITZ. Like we could have Stolas have his own little apology tour-I say little because he had no real time or ability to create as big a mess as Blitz, but arguably, his is going to be even more tragic, because OCTAVIA, and yeah, Stella, too-and he's just like Well...hmmm. :|

Harsh but true. It isn't a "pure knight and flawless", Even though i heavily relate to Stolas 80% definitely as a adult as he's more what im like now, and i find him the most relatable post 20s. I used to be a lot like a little Blitzo.. as a kid 14-19. I was "trying to look cool, fancy", and then a group of people walked by. I got tons of compliments "You look great in that tux" "he looks so sharp" "looking sharp there, soldier!" "He looks like a hottie", every compliment was like a little swig. Then someone out there i tried to approach went "Ew no! They look wrong for you girl!" "You don't want a man who'll just pump you and dump you". I think i changed as a kid and that was in my 19-20s. To be fair i think we all are a result of our upbringings, dominos, and influences to a great extent. Stolas i think in the end got hurt/used but it was a "situationship". S1-5 Stolas/pilot stolas definitely did use Blitzo for sex or mistook lust for love or a excuse to get away / break up with Stella. He rushes into whatever 'warmth' appears after a break up. But he waited and waited for Blitzo, only to get more and more hurt. But Blitzo, while he definitely hurt stolas fully by choice imho. Still gave lots of ques that he subtly but clearly didn't "want" more. He refused wanting more S1:6. Shirked off Stolas, left him to die in a hospital, saw him as a chain, didn't visit him, didn't save him. Expressed anxiety at Stolas after Moxie pointed out their business would fall apart if anything went wrong. And clearly warms up immediately to fizz and blushes over a excuse grab. If Fizz was in the prince garb and part of royalty smiling and waving at Blitzo, I highly doubt Blitzo would be "Oh woe is me, you are awful for me fizz", he'd jump right in. Consiously or not, Blitzo's mental heart seems to sparkle and fizz at Fizz, even though Asmo and Fizz are married. And his lust heart likes watching Moxxie and millie. He's a lust goblin, his relationship with loona literally has him doing child abuse as a joke in s2:2 with cptsd flashbacks. And for most parts, he functionally acts as a immature abuse reflector. But holy jesus Stolas ignored EVERY sign Blitzo DIDN'T want more or wouldn't be good for more. Yes Blitzo's ripped Stolas's heart. But Stolas ignored every sign with rose tinted goggles through literal chokes, neck snaps, verbal abuse. Blitzo literally used the thing as a cover to 'tie him up' for 'bondage' to rob the guy, for pete's sake. It's just fiction and i'm definitely over projection here. But there are real world situations where even many irl abusers say "sorry i hit you. But you made me do it". Many abuse free people say. "Sorry you felt that way, what can we do to make it better?"

the point is, he never wanted this life. he was forced into it. breaking out of these chains and the gotia family is a huge shtty construct. things like that are never nice or easy for no one thats involved.sure he got his flaws too, he is not really different from blitz in his experiences. thats how divorces or other kind of break ups work most of the time. he was going to look for Via when she was crying at night having a nightmare while stella doesn´t give a damn fk about her crying daughter and seeing her only as a necessary evil because she had to have segs with stolas to get an heir for the gotia family. unhealthy patterns lead to unhealthy decicsons. he never learned how to communicate correctly. no one was interested in his opinions or feelings or whatever. how does he know then? he wasn´t able to speak up to via too. he didnt had the words and on top doesnt want to put the full load of adult-stuff to his teen daughter why everything is so complicated.. he is also living in a fake environment of gotias. his only job was to stfu the whole time and accept whatever may comes. like a doormat. backtalk wasn´t accepted at all. from the outside it´s clear but people have to be aware of their trauma to change things and its not different for blitz. people with trauma are also prone to addictions thats proven. some are getting addicted and others not even if hey go through heavy trauma experiences. why its not entirely discoverd. and of course he is dreaming of someone who cares about him. he was treated like sht his whole life. from his family, his wife. blitz took advantage of stolas since he was a kid. its also not uncommon that when 2 people have a deal about a segs related "relationship" that one is catching feelings sooner or later. thats also what happened here. it starts with an easy deal both were fine with in the beginning and you know what?...people fking change. it happens. it has nothing to do with their trauma...thats life happening there. people are allowed to change (their opinion on a topic) even if that means he is no longer okay with that darn deal they had. and he is also allowed to have fun, to find himself, figuring out what he really wants and making new decisions out of it. does they ave to be smart?...no. because he have things to learn like blitz too

LITERALLY!!! I'm so thankful for this channel bringing up how WRONG this narrative of blitz being the only perpetrator and stolas is the sole innocent wittle victim who did nothing wong SO. MUCH. I'm sick of how blitz's character is getting diminished and dumbed down for the sake of stolas looking good. There has been so much wrong about their relationship from the very beginning, and MOST of it, was created and reinforced by stolas! I need for the show to highlight how wrong he's been too and him acknowledging his own mistakes because otherwise Stolas' character is also going to suffer from it

I get that but at the same time, sometimes you don’t even know what you want, all you know is you feel strongly towards someone, you aren’t sure why or what caused it but you Like them, hell you love them, Even if you don’t know why, Stolas asked Blitz for permission with the Incubi not to mention the fact he was pretty drunk

I think the only reason she softened up a bit was because blitzo finally did apologize to her in a heart felt sincere way, and knowing people and a ex just like blitzo finally getting that is so cathartic since the people I've known would rather die before ever saying sorry.

She learns that he is changing, that he hates himself, that he is sorry, and that with a good enough of a push in the right direction, he will be a better Imp.

This makes him see that there's no excuse in dismissing the horrible things he did to others but only feeds into his preexisting self-hatred that he's always had and that Verosika has no idea he has. If she knew, if anyone else knew, I can only wonder how much worse or lenient they'd be with Blitzø.

Like literally no one knows about Blitzø's issues except for Fizzarolli whom he patched up with after some deliberate keeping-apart kept him from trying to salvage their relationship after that fire for years and with his own sister wanting nothing to do with him being heavily implied to be because of the fire that killed their mother. If anyone well and truly hates him, it's himself. But I doubt anyone will actually ever get a look into the tragedy that is Blitzø so the show can justify their hatred of him and validate their being hurt by him to pull a "Freudian excuse is no excuse" as if he's going out of his way to hurt people and not confronting his issues as if it's that simple.

That's probably what the last episode for Season is gonna be about if you remember that part with Octavia in the Trailer where she complained about her father Stolas loving Blitz more than his own daughter

It's not all that weird. They both caught feelings. And while Stolas wanted to progress the relationship, Blitz felt comfortable with that status quo because of his self worth issues.

Blitz never showed up... And it seems pretty clear that is part of what led to this breakup and Stola's resentment. Stolas felt abandoned, he was an emotional mess after his divorce, he feels completely alone, desperate to NOT feel alone, which leads to an unhealthy obsession with the idea of Blitz and what they could have in a rom-com way. So yeah honestly... Probably getting an honest to god break from each other and Stolas being given time to sort out all of these other issues he has is probably a good thing for him.

He still has the wound bandaged up in Full Moon, but that's all we saw come of it so far

I'm surprised Stolas never asked why Blitz didn't show up. I know Blitz hates vulnerability, but if Stolas had asked, I wonder how Blitz would have reacted. It would not even have been a huge reveal of Stolas' feelings, just a little "Did you not visit because you don't care?"

I feel like there's legit nothing Blitz could have done to fix this because Stolas isn't receptive to anything Blitz does. It's like Stolas set himself up to fail and now he's committed to being a professional victim about it instead of actually trying to acknowledge any wider issues or resolve anything.

Yeah, I get that he's confused, but he is totally wrong when he said he never looked down on Blitzø. Maybe he never *intentionally* looked down on Blitzø, he was raised in a social class where everyone thinks they're better than everyone, so it's no surprise that he wouldn't see the problem with his behavior. The main issue is that he's continuing to not see any problems with his former behavior, and so far, no one in the show has brought it up other than Blitzø, and it sort of feels like we weren't supposed to take him seriously, and that he was "just saying those things to be hurtful". I could totally be reading it wrong, but that's how it's coming off to me.

I would be 100% okay with Stolas' behaviour (because characters who behave like dicks can be really interesting) but only, if the Show actually showed that is was wrong, instead of pretending that he is this uwu soft little owl cutie who never did anything bad. I like characters messing up and making wrong decisions. I like it, when especially the main characters have some actual flaws. What I genuinely despise in terms of writing though, is when the show looks at those bad actions and refuses to acknowledge them/defends them to hell and back

Blitz has given him every reason to think he was into it, and Blitz never cleared up the misunderstanding because he benefited from it and was comfortable due to it validating his insecurities. I don't think Stolas saw that as looking down on Blitz; he genuinely thought he was giving Blitz what he wanted.

Ngl I fail to understand how people are saying victim blaming as if Blitz was the only one wronged in the situation. What I’m hoping is that the focus on how Blitz was wrong and then it’ll be Stolas’s turn to be put in the hot seat so he can answer to what he’s done too. Stolas definitely has looked down on Blitz but the argument against Stolas shouldn’t be that Blitz is borderline faultless. Blitz is the one that sought to steal from him and resorted to seducing Stolas in order to get his grimoire. Blitz could’ve made off with the book but felt bad after Stolas revealed he was happy to feel wanted by his first friend, but Blitz relented anyway even though it was wrong. Stolas capitalized on that, I’m thinking the relationship started off as FWB in the hopes it would grow into more than just that, and when the rose tinted glasses were slapped off Stolas’s face, he regretted it and wanted it to change. Obviously his approach was horrible. And the only thing he really admitted was wrong was the dynamic of their relationship. But this isn’t an opening to act like Blitzo is faultless. And he’s not helping his case that instead of taking the time he screeched about needing to sort his feelings he proceeded to bother Stolas again with the sex shit. Neither of them are perfect and they’re both to blame for the result of their relationship… if you can even call it one.

congratulations on being yet another person to not understand the shows narrative. Blitzo MADE their relationship about sex, when Stolas tried to make this about feeling multiple times, Blitzo instantly rejected the idea and made it about sex because he's scared of his own feelings. Stolas was playing into that whole horny lover thing because thats the energy Blitzo brought into the relationshpip. So Blitzo literally took advantage of someone who was sheltered as hell and had no experience in romance and then cries victim when the sheltered kid fell in love with him. Thats what happens when you're dishonest in relationship, blitzo wore a mask all the time. Stolas wore a mask with the whole horny act too and when he tried to take that mask off and saw that it didnt work, Blitzo blew up. Their relationship is dysfunctional BECAUSE Blitzo refuses to talk to Stolas and actually open up. If they sat down and talked, he'd have understood. But at this point the relationship is way too damaged to recover in any way.

Definitely he has avoident. I don't think he was expecting to see Blitz there I think he went to be polite and to let loose a bit to try and forget all the stuff that happened for that moment then Blitz showed up he wasn't in the right space to talk to him plus he was drinking as well.

I think it's more like Stolas being too deep in his RomCom fantasy and following the good ol' trope of "It's my fault for loving him too much!"

I mean, to be fair, Blitzø did take Stolas' grimoire after pushing him into having sex (or at least pretending to initiate sex so that he could steal the grimoire). I would have fully agreed with you if we didn't find out retroactively that Stolas didn't make the first move there. Stolas was definitely wrong to go on to make it a transactional relationship, and I appreciate that the writers don't avoid criticizing him for that. His lack of self awareness that he set Blitzø up to have no other choice is probably the biggest factor in why they never really had a mutually loving relationship. So beyond Blitzø apologizing for not taking Stolas' feelings seriously, there's really nothing left for Blitzø to make up for (at least to Stolas). It's Stolas' turn next to apologize for establishing the quid pro quo relationship in the first place. Just giving Blitzø an out from needing to sleep with him isn't enough. Stolas still needs to take accountability (and address his classism), but it seems to me that some dialogue suggests the story is headed that way. Hopefully we see more growth on Stolas' part, though I think they may take their time to fully address his flaws.

From what stolas sees blitzo too his confession and mocked him over it... like stella mocks him. He has tough feathers to deal with stella but blitzo bypasses his defenses cause he cares what he has to say. He'd have prefered a rejection over what biltzo gave him. he was prepared to get a boyfriend or lose a lover, not to be mocked and degraded.

Actually yeah now that you pointed that out I can see why people feel for Stolas more than Blitz. It's not just because Blitz slept and dated many people but it's also because, well, he's an imp. Imp's are indeed look down on in their society. Meanwhile, we have Stolas. A goetic demon and prince. Someone of royalty. Of course Verosika and the rest of them would see him as innocent.

(i think it was "you dont love me, you only love him") that would be a great line in an episode where stolas has to face his problems, starting with trying to fix the relationship with his daughter, & then having to face the consequences of his actions from starting the whole grimoire arrangement. i agree that both stolas and blitz did some fucked up things, but i really think theyre gonna add in a "stolas fucked up ep", especially with all the fan backlash rn. plus, theres a part in his song that shows him (maybe) realizing that he was ffing toxic. maybe thats buildup for the stolas ep (hopefully)

I agree and also I feel like in the song, for the mirror scene part of him is somewhat acknowledging he has a part to play in this too. Maybe it’s just me but I don’t think the show is playing it out like he is just ignoring his own problems BUT ALSO (just adding this on. Blitz is being an ass and yes this was set up bad on stolas’ end and it’s not okay and he knows it, Blitz is also yelling at him and stuff like that. He has no reason to do all of that. Aware my axx, look at what the 2 Episodes have done, if they cared, it would have been done already but they don't do it, I don't need to wait for more episodes to recognize a serious problem with the writers & the things that happen quickly.

@owltree_s yea I heard the song but I’m not talking about Stolas the character I’m referring to how the writers have been handling Stolas throughout the season. The way he’s written always makes him the victim in every way. I’m actually kind of sick of Stolas being this innocent honey bun that doesn’t know any better and I can’t really agree with Blitz’ constant dog piling when Stolas hasn’t had to be accountable for anything. Stolas is also the worst of the two of them simply from the gross power imbalance but so far the show has handled that concept with kid gloves.

@owltree_s well intentions don’t matter when you’re being classist, racist, and upholding slavery. That’s the part that I fear won’t be properly addressed based on how it’s been handled in the past. I do agree that Blitz’ problems are his own outside of Stolas and I really wish they would’ve been addressed that way. Stolas is using Blitz pre existing issues to hand wave the very valid criticisms Blitz or Striker have against him.

i mean there are still more episodes to come, and based on the trailer it seems that stolas will be confronted about his flaws. Just chiII guys and lets see where it goes. This episode was revolving around the party, which was full of people who blitzo hurt. So it makes sense why they would focus on blitzo's mistakes now, but then in a future episode with octavia they would focus on stolas

He may stalk them outside of work, but they never invite him anywhere themselves, the one time he tries to arrange something they say no. Loona is actively avoiding working through her issues with Blitz, so I do believe she would help help but only if he asked. Fizz is his only actual friend, hopefully Fizz can help him (though Blitz having a one-sided crush on him could complicate that)

As sarcastic chorus said, verosika isn't what made blitzo into blitz, she is just another wreck along the road, we wouldn't get a lot from a flashback.

I think we Can Do without. There's enough laid down for us to infer things were good until Blitz realized Verosika wanted more and he absolutely didn't (and has been a Jackass when ending stuff so he doesn't have to think about what would be needed to commit to the relationship with a famous talented artist he would envy to no end for the rest of his life). Quite different from the Stolitz situation, where Blitzø does Try to connect, actually knows he has feelings for Stolas, but KNOWS he isn't the sweet romcom guy Stolas claims he needs and just resolve in letting it go even if he really doesn't want to.

Actually, you know what this reminds me of? Steven universe and pink diamond. In the main series, it’ll call out that Rose is only talked about by biased parties but, ultimately, it does nothing about it. And then future comes around where backlash was probably obvious and, despite this whole idea that Steven hasn’t forgiven the diamonds, we have a reversal in that it’s all completely biased against Rose and the Diamonds are reduced to goofy aunts.

I do also think the show is setting up something for Stolas given he acknowledges how he ignored a lot of Blitzo’s feelings in his song, but I think for now it’s good that this episode has a sharp focus on Blitzo’s issues because it makes the most sense to break down his character first before we get to Stolas.

Hey yes, I think exactly the same, Stolas has been processing things like this for months but the man was full of emotions all this time, in this moment he's kinda just living before he can actually take accountability for things, that's common and realistic to be honest, especially after really on and off relationship or really awful situationships, he'll surely be call out in other episode, also let's remember Blitz is the protagonist, off course the show will pay more attention to call him out, but they know Stolas have to be call out too

You aren't wrong. I had my own good dose of mutual hurt; getting angry with a few friends, and thinking I was in the right just because I was hurt, but then in doing so I hurt them as well. Sometimes emotions just get flung together in a blender and becomes a big messy misunderstanding, and it happens because we lash out at others when we feel attacked ourselves. I do love the nuance of both character's f*cking up here and being f*cked up people themselves. I will say I don't have too much faith in the show, but I do hope both characters will be called out for their actions because while they're both hurt, they're both in the wrong, and a little balancing of blame on both ends would go a long way. It would be cool to see _both_ of them getting knocked in the skull with the consequences of their situation and going "oh shit I really did mess up I gotta make it up to him."-- eventually, in time, because if it did happen right away it would indeed feel forced.

You're putting that good kind of resolution on the wrong show and main creator, please just don't.

We never see them have an actual conversation about their lives or feelings prior to Full Moon, and it was always waved off as no big deal whenever the opportunity did present itself. Their text conversation shown in Western Energy reveals that Stolas actually tried apologizing to Blitzo and talking about what happened at Ozzie's but Blitzo waved it off. So Stolas did too.

Nah I think that when he blushes when he gets kissed by Verosika he isn't blushing because he is thinking that "wow she is cute" but because he isn't used to getting kissess or any other physical connection from people not in a romantic way and in Ozzies when he looks her up and down I think that he is just surprised that Blitz dated her

To be fair, we've gotten like...the foot end of an episode and most of another, I think we just need to give Viv some time to cook and trust the process! We've got three more episodes in this batch, and there's a decent few hints that we're gonna get more time to see Stolas grappling with his own problems in at least one of them, so let's just all have a bit of patience

Stolas is an isolated man, so there aren't a lot of people that could call him out. Given the fact that Blitz is just as flawed and has far more obvious issues, Blitz calling him out is bound to fall flat without an episode like this.

Blitz did have a part in it and it started all the way back in The Circus episode, where he had seduced Stolas to try and get the grimoire. It definitely didn't help that he decided to stay the night instead of the quick fuck he initially decided. With that in mind, it is how Stolas laid out the deal because, in our favorite gay owl's mind, this is what he thought Blitz wanted for the book and was fine to keep it going so long as Stolas could see his first friend and get that feeling of being wanted and loved by a partner he was deprived of for so long. But the way he went about it is just hollow and shallow.

But blitzo did specifically tell stolas that he was in sloth, why he was there, and why being there was so important. The first one was definitely a fuck up on his part but the second was well communicated for once

He wasn't coddled and I don't know why people think this. This episode is about redeeming Blitzø, not redeeming Stolas. That will take its own episode.

Oh my god you are so right! Everything Blitzø said and yelled that night was valid and true! The only thing Blitzø did “wrong” was yelling at Stolas! (which honestly, he had every right to do) What I hate about this episode is that Blitzø isn’t saying: “I’m sorry I screamed at you, that was wrong, but you need to understand where I’m coming from.” Blitzø is saying: “YoU dEseRve sO MuCh BetTEr ThAn ME I’m So TerRiBle!” which is BS. Blitzø. Doesn’t. Owe. Stolas. Shit. And Stolas’s little petty, self-righteous rant in the beginning of episode borders gaslighting and just straight up manipulation!

While Blitzø is on his “Apology Tour” Blitzø is wanting to text and apology, it’s “sorry about last night” not “sorry about this morning”. And during the second attempted text message, he text “sorry about the sh*tty things I said”, which could be that actually sh*tty things he said that morning (trying to be sexual towards Stolas) or the perfectly valid things he said the night before (you look down on me, you aren’t letting me process, etc.) Even at the party, Blitzø’s actions earlier that day aren’t brought up, instead it’s just Blitzø saying “wow I suck” and Stolas being delulu. The issue is that the writing (even if unintentionally) pushes the idea that Blitzø was in the wrong in everything he said, when he wasn’t. I will most definitely say that they way Blitzø speaks and acts at the beginning of the episode isn’t right, but he shouldn’t have to apologize for anything beforehand, other than his yelling. (Also, just want to point out something very interesting: Stolas puts Blitzø through unwanted sex talk for an entire season, and took 8 EPISODES after realizing it was wrong to apologize. Blitzø did it once, and apologized in the same day.)

Also, I’m going to say this; is Verosika’s party really helping anyone? Because, yes, Blitz’s ex pool is large but the criteria for invitation makes it less of something for them and more something for Verosika. You ever see RU-vidr drama where someone was obviously hurt by someone else and, rather than trying to move on, they get angry and start finding any excuse to keep the hate train going for years and years, with even the most minor of inconveniences being seen as part of that growing number of people? That’s what the party feels like. A load of people focusing on their hatred for this one guy to either have an excuse to party or to deny that they’re incapable of moving on.

As someone who has an ex I VERY SIMILARLY ghosted after they confessed to me - its not that wild. Its been 11 years, shes married, has 3 kids and still calls on my birthday pissed off that I ghosted her. Some people fall in love so hard they rather hate you and keep you around then fully lose you. Shes currently cheating on her husband with a women that looks like me. She blames me for breaking her heart and forcing her to do this because shes unhappy in her marriage.
