My reaction to a 450 hp fully built Eagle Talon Tsi AWD DSM on e85!
Visited a friends house, went to cars and coffee. Went to the Rays tribute meet 2018, and got some pulls and two step from the Talon.

Wow, my 95 tsi is done but I haven’t driven it in 5 years. My wife still calls it one of my most expensive paper weights that just sits in the garage. I still talk to my tsi as I go to work and when I come home. Thought about selling it but hey, I’ve had it for 14 years wrenched and build it myself only got 113k on her (took 3 years to build) just can’t bring myself to sell it and I’m 45years old now. Thanks for putting this video up, you made me smile from ear to ear and now I’m gonna go piss off my neighbors and charge it start it and let it run in the garage for ten mins. THANKS for reminding me on how awesome the dsm is.

Thanks again, can’t bring myself to do that. Don’t think anyone would appreciate it like I do. It’s currently running in the garage, probably pissing the neighbors off for sure. Lol. I forgot how good it feels to hear it even with old gas in her. Almost makes this grown man shed a tear of joy. You got a subscriber. Keep up the good work guys

Same. For some reason, I like the Talon’s look a bit more than the eclipse. I almost bought a grey two tone 1G Eclipse 14 years ago. It was an automatic, but clean.

Nice talon...I must admit that I'm surprise that an automatic is pushing that much power. Mitsubishi was not known to have the strongest of transmissions and the automatics were no exception. It definitely inspires me to finish installing the backup transmission in my talon.

Auto awd is fast and doesn't break driveline parts when you're making torque over what typical dsm owners are capable of making with their cars.

Yes your right auto does break hearts of the 5spd guy racing next to him from a dig. I've owned both 5spd auto with mild street builds and unless I'm strictly road course racing I'll take auto. I always thought the same even swapped several autos out for manual years ago until I actually built an auto. Launching at 4500rpm on the stall with 20+psi on the line and not worry about breaking anything is much more fun.

If it "only" has 450whp and it's "fully built" then I'm thinking it a smaller turbo car, which is great for the street. Much more responsive and fun on the street.

Yeah I got a stock block, built head cams and 60 trim turbo ,ecm link, it makes 500 hp on 28 psi 👀💪🏾 so it def has a smaller turbo but it also still sounds off it still missing a little at low idle

16g 450hp? Hmmmm that's like billet 20g, 68hta, or fp green numbers. Something doesn't add up. Maybe 350 on a billet 16g.

@@Gvr4Life - Yep I agree.... there's no way in hell a 16g can get to those numbers. I'd like to see the dyno sheet showing that amount of horsepower. I don't think the car sounds tuned, there are several times in the video where it sounds like it has bad ignition breakup either from parts not being in good shape in the ignition system or the timing/AFR being way off on throttle tip in/mid range boost. Also, lol @ "quicker spool" on a 16g car. That thing will create boost if you fart on the turbine.

Nice car, not the biggest fan of the auto trans. Like the build though. I suppose 1/4 track application can run more consistently with the auto, manual can be more control for different circumstance. I haven't driven an auto dsm so I can't compair from experience.

Hey what a transmission and oil cooler do my car any good before I put the turbo setup on it? I was told I could take 3 G 63 parts and bolt it to my 4G 64 engine. The plan is to put the turbo and anything else I have to do my 4G 64 automatic engine

First Time getting into the whole dsm scene and project. I found a 1996 eclipse gst its 134k miles For 1800 he said the previous guy took the whole ac out so it has no ac. And when I left the car from the test drive I saw something leaking it looked black or greenish and the speedometer doesn't work. Are all these cheap fixes ? Is it worth it. Oh and it has a ,custom exhaust.greedy blow off valve,coil over shocks.turbo timer,digital boost control.k&n air filter ,new brakes,new battery.

Trust me dude had 3 dsm had Gst/spyder gst /gsx they not the most reliable car buy when they run its rewarding I Speand bout 10k on the gst just in parts they get pricey but if you love your car it’s worth

Here’s the best thing to do if you want a legit Manual Talon TSI. Swap the automatic trans with a manual 99 gst transmission or manual tsi transmission

really love the car i have a black 2g tsi as well but im still workin on running e85 still need ecm link and a fpr bigger injectors and bigger walbro fp its my project car but as it is now with just a 16g and sum bolt ons it rides out on sum unexpected mustang 5.0 drivers lol

Same car here, except 5sp. We don't have E85 anywhere around so that's never going to happen. I don't know about going E85 if you ever plan on taking a road trip.

Super nice looking put a straight through muffler on it it will help with the low end and probably the misfire which you need to disable anyway on DSM link and whoever thinks it sounds good never heard one that was running right, pay the money and take it to a tuner and it will be bad ass and for god sake watch the parking curb that’s a rare classic gem treat it like one or sell it

@Miguel_Dsm Bruh, "fully built" (your words, not mine) and 450hp?? Like why? Those autos aren't hard to build, it's running E85, the billet TC cap is like $180, those stock half shafts are tough, like why only 450?? A stock 6 bolt can pretty easily achieve that, and depending on what year 7 bolt that is, you might not even have to worry about crank walk man! Turn it up and send her!!! PS man cylinder 1 is closest to the came gears 😂😂 that camera can make simple sentances hard man I know. Good vid though keep it up!

Why does he keep fucking with the two stepper stutter box if he ain't going to launch the car? When i had my 1G AWD back in the day i had the stutter box set up i didn't like it and really didn't benefit me in my launches really. It sounded cool when first hearing the two step after a while you get tired of it, Miguel tell you're buddy to get rid of the mud flaps on that talon looks stupid and would look better without them. I'm not hating on the dsm look but you guise just go over board on some things like too much body ad ons and dropping the car too low and you wander why you scrape your front bumper lip or the bottom of your front bumper cover.
