Honestly speaking, GFriend was very lucky debuting at the time. They debuted months after Jessica was kicked out of Girls Generation and SinB looked remarkably like her younger sister, very strong stricking features, and the high kick choreography is reminiscent of that group. It did spark a fuss with their fandom but it did gave them notice which is a good thing. This was also when Umji was targeted visually, but not that hype. After that, Me Gustas Tu got people noticing how in sync they are. They got more attention when SinB and Yuju kept falling on a wet stage and Yuju fell really hard at times but she kept performing. It gave them a spot in the top girl groups when Rough was released. It ultimately holds them a spot in the tier list. It was pure. It made Koreans love them and the amount of Yuju singing in every final chorus just made it more memorable. They are six different girls but dance so in sync, the electric guitar and the school girl concept was the defining moment that makes people know GFriend. Even the running moment, they were doing it before Loona. In a way, if you debuted right now without a differentiating factor, you’ll fade in the background. So, they were really lucky debuting at that time. Source Music got noticed because of the girls but the payback of letting them go is a disgrace. It was a business move from a third party (probably) but the company should fought for them. They work hard for themselves and the company. One thing that i can describe GFriend is their professionalism. So mature and willing to make their mark coming from a small company. None of them are minors when debuting which is refreshing. 16:29 this part.. it's just amazing how Yerin and Sinb (the two members in front) delayed their footsteps, waiting for Eunha and Umji behind to make sure their steps were in sync. Gfriend got the title queens of synchronization for a reason. From small steps to big movements, they've taken it seriously.

'Rough' is the first song by 3rd gen group to get PAK / Perfect All Kill (top 1st of all korean charts). This song also got a triple crown with 15 music show wins. In terms of achievements, it can be said that this is gfriend's most succesful song.

Loving your reaction as always and watching you fall in love with GFriend is such a pleasure. You are doing well with recognising the faces of the members despite them being so young here. Yuju keeps shining to you as she is the main vocal whilst Eunha has the assistant role as lead vocal. SinB is main dancer which is why she always shines in a dance practice. Yerin who you remember being blonde in the Apple video is lead dancer behind SinB. She is a very mischievous person always getting in trouble from their leader Sowon, the very tall one and like a model. Umji was never given a role other than maknae and had few lines given to her along with Sowon and both were often placed on the edges of the choreography as a result. Sowon complained to the company about this in the past and it affected her confidence. Umji also suffered badly too in the past until she became more confident as she got older.

16:39 yes you are right. Shes the main vocalist of Gfriend. Her name is YUJU. One of the best vocalist of 3rd Gen. Also, Rough is their most awarded song with i believe 15 music show trophies. No.2 most wins song for girl group. Next to Apink’s “LUV” with 17 wins…

That's why they incorporated some clock choreo at the end because the song and the MV itself are inspired from the 2006 anime movie 'The Girl Who Leapt Through Time". Also the exact translation of Rough's Korean title is "Leaping/Running Through Time" which is a direct reference from the japanese film.
