9:07 People don’t really notice this but the part when the girls are gliding everyone has their foot flat on the floor while Yuju glides her foot with her heel.With the Rough choreo at the end Sinb is the hands of a clock and when the rest of the girls are stepping out if you look at their heads they’re all positioned differently. The first member( I don’t remember who) is looking all the way down and Eunha at the end is looking up. That part represents time. The Korean title of Rough is “Going through time” and they show that a lot in the choreography. Like in the first chorus where they’re gliding & in the second and last chorus they like run in place and do a clock movement.
Finally someone who noticed those small but amazing details in this choreo! Especially Yuju's heel glide. I thought at first that she was doing it wrong because the others are doing the same thing than her, but after I watched a video of their choreographer teaching other dancers (or trainees) this choreo, I realized that Yuju did the exact thing that the choreographer did in that part. Maybe they changed it to just doing it feet-flat because it's easier to do than with the heel only. But Yuju must've thought the original is much better lol, and just decided to do the original XD. I've watched a lot of their Rough performances and she was doing the same thing all the time. Even I am doing it when I dance to that part LOL. And great thing you noticed that they are supposed to be slow-mo walking at that part, and at the second and last chorus, the choreo already looks like they were running, following the lyrics "siganeul dallyeoseo (if I could run through time)". This is why I love GFRIEND's choreography. It's like watching a stage play/story-telling/performance, rather than just a dance performance.

GFRIEND and the Buddies have become a big part of my life last year, so this disbandment hurts a lot! I wish them the best and all buddies to stay strong
Their company lost talented group of individuals, BUT we all know that these girls have much more to show in the next chapter of their career. They are free now and can do anything that they couldn't do before. I'm just wishing them all well for the next few days, weeks, and months ahead of them.
I've been keeping myself not to watch any videos related to Gfriend especially their debut song and 1st comeback, but I just can't skip your reaction to our Gfriend's song... And now.. Watching this reaction with you drew tears from me again. It's somewhat ironic yet fitting for you to react to "Rough" at this time. Not just you, almost nobody saw the disbandment coming. "Rough" is Gfriend's final chapter of their famous school trilogy that started with their debut "Glass Bead" and then "Me Gustas Tu" next. "Rough" is supposed meant to portray the feelings of anxiety and sentimentality of friendship as girls were confronted with the incoming graduation from school and the uncertainty of the future. This is a key juncture for Gfriend in their career for their breakout song to garter 15 music show wins, the highest for Gfriend. Of course in the MV, the girls reunited and looked back on their time together at the end. We much hope that the plot of this MV will mirror the real life for the members of Gfriend from this point on. Your smile as you watched this MV confirmed the success of this MV is no accident. This song delivers the mixture of the sense of nostalgia for the past and the hopefulness for the future. The music, lyrics, choreo and the MV combines to strike the impression of grace and meaning that goes beyond our eyes and ears. As for the choreo, Gfriend has many great choreos but this will always remain among my favorite as it interprets the song with poetic elegance, practiced precision, and artistic relevance, rather than just thrill us with novel moves or energetic steps. I will also appreciate their beautiful intro of members, synchronized movement, perfectly executed spins, carefully timed pacing, and the iconic ending clock segment. Great to see you again and look forward to the next video to allow us to appreciate Gfriend's artistry and hard work again.
I understand the feeling, the first day I cried seas, it wasn't the news we expected, and the fact that we weren't warned before made it worse. Way back from their debut until their 2nd anniversary they always start with walking drama and bird chirping sounds. BTW that's their originalmusic color that made me Stan them specially with those violin and piano. They changed their genre to be more mature and sexy after Source Music and BigHit turns into one family and made a comeback Apple
gfriend is the only girl group I stan since the time I started listening to kpop in 2016. I don't think I'll ever find someone who can replace them in my heart. I love them and support them still. To think that I stanned them because I accidentally watched the behind the scenes of them shooting the Rough MV and I cant stop smiling, yeah, me watching you reacting to this MV made me emotional. They have recently released the KCon:tact 2020 stages of everyone, including GFRIEND, to the public. GFRIEND’s set includes a ballad version of Rough and its lovely. The set list is Crossroads, Time for the Moon Night, Rough (Ballad ver), and Vacation (a b-side to Sunny Summer). Strangely, I can get through the ballad version of Rough ok, but then start sobbing when the extraordinarily chipper Vacation starts.
Gfriend is one of my favorite girl groups, and their choreography is always such a pleasure to watch. Some of my favorite choreos of theirs include Love Whisper, Sunrise, and Glass Bead (which was their debut song)!

This is BRILLIANT! 9:08 and 10:46 2 different lyrical interpretation of "If only I could run through time and grow up" 11:49 When Yerin and SinB slide out and go into a slow-motion (The change of pace is sick!) to land together with Eunha and Umji 12:33 Of course the iconic clock choreography that depicts a clock and passing of time
Thankyou for this reaction. I completely agree with the message you kept saying. Just because we won't be getting any new content from GFriend shouldn't stop us from celebrating what they gave us. In fact there's even more reason to do so. Also to support the girls in anything they decide to do in the future. But yes, right now, every video still hurts to watch.

I’m two years late to this comment session, but this song introduced me to GFriend. While everyone around me were so high on EXO, RV, BLACKPINK, etc. (GREAT GROUPS BTW), I always look forward to GFriend. I didn’t care if they were “underrated” but when I heard this song, I instantly became a fan and it usually takes me 2-3 songs to listen to for other groups so they can grow on me but GFriend came in, stole my heart and have never let go since.

They are the first 3rd gen group to get a daesang, the songs from their rookie years, navillera, me gustas tu and rough became sokor's national anthem. Navillera holding the record for the longest song to stay at #1 on gaon download chart which was only recently broken by BTS's Dynamite. They created the 2x dance challenge in weekly idol and they are known and called by the kpop industry as the most synchronized group. This song, Rough, has a lot of achievements! They got multiple triple crowns, it is the first 3rd gen song to get a pak, this song also holds the record for the most music show wins for 3rd gen gg with 15 wins. This also has the most gaon download digitals for 2016. They achieved a lot of achievements with this song and with their other songs such as Navillera, Me gustas tu, Sunrise, and Time for the moon night :>
You're right, the disbandment was so sudden. Buddys were confident that Gfriend will renew bcs during their 6th year anniversary, they said they will, and we know how much they love performing. There were no signs, but it still happened. I cried so hard and I'm still sad rn ㅠㅠ
I’m right there with you on the shock of hearing of GFRIEND’s disbandment. That week officially sucked. I remember how I felt waking up to the news and I was relative late-comer to GFRIEND. I can only imagine how much worse it felt for those Buddies that had been there since the beginining. This past week I’ve been missing GFRIEND a lot. As a Buddy that found Gfriend during Rough, I haven't seen the MV or the dance practice in a long time since they disbanded because I knew it would make me emotional...So, I'm not shocked I cried through this lol! Thank you for reacting to Gfriend, we miss them

Every MV tells stories.. Starting from the glass bead their debut songs upto mago. They are all connected... The growth of these girl are superb... Their music are story tellers. The vibes that we can all relates in different perspectives of life.

Gfriend was the first group ever that introduced me to kpop back in 2015... They mean sooo much to me that i'm still in great disbelief about their disbandment ㅠㅠ ㅠㅠ ㅠㅠ
Park Jun Hee (who was their choreographer for this) mentioned she tried to mirror the dance movements after old school S.E.S. since Gfriend's music (at their debut time) was inspired by this period as well. But honestly there are groups that create bops off the bat (like twice, exo, bp) but then there are groups who I can listen to at any point (even years later) and still makes me feel nostalgic and gfriend is one of the few in that category!
