So I have recently entered second year and I am literally so lost regarding USMLE and watching your video makes me relate on a deeper level at how even I don’t have many seniors who are working on this prep OR mentorship programmes in my clg. So thankful that I found your channel. Congratulations on matching !
Im happy for you Congratulations I am following you from starting videos about usmle concepts.....got inspired and started usmle prep I feel the same... I am FMG Where international University knows nothing about USMLE No seniors to guide,or preparing for it Thank for sharing ...can't imagine how happy you are
Hey Ishwari... I'm a final year medical student and I aspire to crack the Usmle. Just like you, I too have no guidance. None of the seniors from my college have given MLE and i don't have a mentor or anyone to look up to. This video of yours inspires me to believe that it is possible for me as well as it was for you! Thankyou for this video and keep making a lot of usmle related content to guide me and many more just like me!
Seeing this video made me miss you 🥺 Congratulations on this milestone but most of all proud of you for keeping your chin up through all the lows and pulling through 💕
Really happy to see you reach an important step in your life for which you've been working hard for the past 5 years. Congratulations once again ish 🎉🎉🥳 You deserve this 🤗
Congratulations for the match!! Thanks for sharing your side of the game and making plans to help IMG community 👏🏽 would be amazing if you share some info about usce, and the extra things that make the application stronger! Good luck!
Congratulation Ishiwari, My university also don't have experience in process of residency so I have a little stuck in my mind that I can overcome these difficulties. I hope in the future I can have a matched day like you.😊
Congratulations..I m father of a OCI daughter.she is US born, but studying in India from her childhood. Definitely your videos will be helpful for her future.
Congratulations Dr. Ishwari. You are amazing. Thank you so much for taking your time to make these videos. All the best. Stay Blessed always. I’ll be doing my clinical rotations in the US this year. Hope to meet you. 😃👏🎉
Its showing in your eyes how it feels doing it all alone while people are full with connections and other stuffs on hands.Cant even say how we are feeling for u and you are showing us path that we can make it if we wants it by heart.😍😍😍😍😍Enjoy full of your freedom now.You deserve it.
@@IshwariChandran you are my inspiration .🙂😍i highly admire your journey.Pray for me and literally my eyes were got wet watching your experiences how u deal all by yourself!

@@IshwariChandran Just wanted a suggestion ....so i started preparing for usmle rather late and its taking a long time for me with the material with step 1 i am super scared too i am aiming to take it in august and wanted to know tips from your side and if its going to affect me done with internship in india last year march
Hey! Take your time w prep. Keep doing questions and attempt practice tests. You can then take the exam according to your performance on those mock tests. I’ve shared my preparation/mistakes/resources in the USMLE step 1 videos in this playlist: ru-vid.com/group/PLRY9SO3hwydXhZUjsGcRVPudj9A63-bgP May help!
Heyy Congratulations 🎉🎉 I'm on the initial stages of the same anxiety you've been through. I do have an idea of a video which would help us a lot. Networking. It's hard to know what to expect. And when to put a limit. Like what would make the person think you're clingy etc etc. Would love it if you can help us our about that.. Congratulations again 🎉
Pls help , I have a doubt I've heard that If we're going for surgery it's VERY Tough to get a match in USA . Whereas if you're going for Internal medicine you are most likely to get a match in the US . If I'm going for surgery where should I apply USA? Canada ? Or should i write AMC and go to Australia , or write Plab for UK etc.
How to get publications & research. Is thesis done by Indian PG students considered research and is it published in any journal or thesis & research are different? Is only Peer review research considered Is letter to the editor considered a publication How to get hands on after graduation easily Is getting visa for observership/externship/clerkship getting difficult these days. If yes, can you suggest some tricks to get visa easily/get USCE. Basically how to plan USCE in these covid times when getting visa is itself a challenge. Will i get (preferably paid) research position in US to make connections & do USCE. Will i get visa for that Any volunteer experience you can recommend
Sister if your are Tamil, please upload a USMLE related videos in Tamil also or Open another channel for Tamil videos about USMLE related content. Thank you, All the best for your residency program.
Do you think I can match in internal medicine with just ECFMG registration and some weak research experience ? I’m too worried about that bcz this is all my financial situation can afford Or do you think I should save my time and effort for another pathway ?
Hey doctor, many congratulations on the match! I am a 1st year medical student and i have started the Kaplan lectures for building my base for usmle along with my coursework studies. If i complete the biochemistry section in Kaplan with its lectures. How do i assess myself from the perspective of Usmle in that one subject (keeping in mind that i DID NOT do the other subjects) can i assess myself in each subject like that? I am really confused about this. Kindly help me out here. Thankyou.
Hey !! First of all, Congratulations :) I’ve Ben some of your videos for step 2CK. You seem so relatable somehow. Ive graduated in 2020. Giving usmle was a sudden plan for me , I’ve finished my step 1 in feb 2022, and I am prepping for step 2 CK, while working too. Ive no research or volunteering experience.. and I’m an introvert so I was not so much active in my med college years too even though I’ve learnt quite few extracurriculars. I’m willing to work on everything now .. can you guide me when is the proper time and how can one make a stronger profile with all this gaps . Thank you in advance :)
Thank you so much Ananya! I can understand how you’re feeling. It’s never too late to begin! You can find online volunteering and research opportunities. Quality > quantity. Even if you have a few meaningful experiences that you’ve learnt a lot from, it would def make your application strong. I’ll share more about it in future videos :)
@@IshwariChandran yes I'm planning to do those just after giving step 2 , I too believe in quality >quantity .. waiting for your future videos .. wishing you all the best for your journey ahead :)
Congratulations on your success! What should I do for research experience as a third year medical student in India? Did you have research experience? And what did you do for the same?
Thanks! :) you can try reaching out to professors at your university. You can also work remotely w doctors in the US. I have shared my research experience in another video (check the pinned comment! :)) hope it helps!
Congratulations sissy. I am going to complete internship this month. Planning to write USMLE. Would it be late if i start preparing now and writing step 1 ?
I have secured 2 distinctions in MBBS One in general pathology & microbiology (3rd year MBBS) Second in Special pathology (4th year MBBS) Does these distinctions help me in future to get a US residency in Pathology
Thank you! :) I’ve shared my residency application (including scores, usce, research experience, interviews) in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JhMoUct5t_w.html
I did about 2 review papers, 1 podium presentation at a conference. Some programs give importance to it, some don’t as much. It’s always good to have some research experience though!
Dad has spoken about it in this video: Parent's side of my USMLE story - My dad answers questions about the USMLE & my med school journey ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j8d-02Dy9LE.html
please help me...I have a very poor communication skill..my scores are great but my communication skill is poor..i think this will affect my interview!! please help me..How to improve??
@@IshwariChandran Please please make it..I desperately need help regarding this!! Thank you soo much..waiting for ur video...I will be applying coming year!!
First of all congratulations 🎉 and I’m on the same boat no one to guide . But here your are 😊 No. Of Publications? Does this matter as a part of whole application? And research ? Do share which hospital you matched? And
I'm so sorry to hear that. This may help: twitter.com/asp__org/status/1504528577244844032?s=21 If you wish to talk about anything, my DMs are open. Please feel free to reach out! @chandran_ish on instagram or ishwarichandran@gmail.com As for my plan B, I was trying to prep for a different licensing exam. Even thought of quitting medicine :/ I'll make a detailed video on it soon!
congrats....i have a qs ..so i got my finale transcript from my university but the seal on transcript is little faded , so is it going to be a issue when ecfmg will verify my diploma and transcript ..... p.s ....i my university is in china
Thanks! If it isn’t too clear, I think it’s better to ask your university for another copy. It’s better not to risk it because if you upload it and ecfmg rejects it, then you’ll have to spend more time doing the whole thing over again.
Want to prepare for USMLE ,was studying for neet pg since last year ,but all these postponements and reservations, makes me wanting to move abroad ,how much time it would take for step 1 if I prepare from scratch, and a hearty congratulations for your match
Thank you very much! :) It truly depends on the amount of time you can dedicate to prep for it. It took me about 2y while balancing it w my university studies.
Congratulations 🎉 for Matching into Residency I want to ask a question that Can we do observership with a 3rd year Resident of internal Medicine to get an LOR? Means If you know someone who is practicing in US and he is your good friend
Since I couldn’t travel (due to covid) I applied for telerotations. I applied through agencies as institutions weren’t offering telerotations directly at that time. I’ve shared my experiences in this playlist ru-vid.com/group/PLRY9SO3hwydU8qLCD2ZPiuzMzk01ZZkda
