When you said you were done, my heart dropped. I literally JUST found your channel last week, haha. Glad you're not leaving, and congrats on your book! I can't wait to buy it!
This chanell?! Is the therapy for the soul! The amount of beneficial information, on tinctures, honey, recipes....and done in such a sweet friendly manner...ahhhh, sooo glad I have discovered it like a year ago, fell in love with it and got brave and made some tinctures and salves of my own! Gold dust worth❤
😊 hello , hello! Was just thinking about you Saturday & Sunday! You were a busy Bee queen and you're finally done with it! Welcome back home! Enjoy your family and happy foraging, safely. Thank you ! 😊😊😊
First off Congrats on your book second my bees are working goldenrod like crazy thank you for all your yu-tube videos. You and a few others that i follow inspired me to start beekeeping this is my first year of harvesting honey
i just foraged some of the goldenrod too! it's one of my favorites because it has SO many uses and it's so gorgeous even dehydrated. also i cannot wait for this book to come out im so excited !!!
Congrats on your manuscript! I just finished an ebook I was working on as a final project for my herb class. It's only 50 pgs and I know how long it took me 😅 If you mentioned this in the video I missed it but for anyone new to infused honeys, there's a higher risk of botulism if your herbs are not completely dried before infusing. Also there are some people that actually are allergic to Goldenrod (I was as a kid but got allergy testing done recently and that allergy is gone 🥳). If you're not sure try a skin test first or start with a very very small amount and see how you feel. Going foraging this week, can't wait to find some Goldenrod!
I almost cried when you said you were done. So looking forward to your book. I hope you included recipes with amounts on how to make creams, salves, etc... Also, I hope dosages are listed. I can't wait. Could we see a couple of pages from the book before buying the book to make sure it has the information we want? Thank you for creating & writing this book. ❤ your channel. ❤2u & 2 all
Congratulations on your book! I can't wait to get it. I can add it to my other book collection I bought from Roots and Refuge, Whispering Willow, Stacy of Doug and Stacy, and Mary Nest. Goldenrod has taken over several areas around me. I plan to pick some this weekend. I definitely want to try it with honey. I may even infuse it with volka as well.
Yay!!! I knew you were working on the book, but have really been missing you, but I know God gave you tons of wisdom and guidance in your writing it, and I am so excited to read Mt own copy, as soon as I get one!!! But most of all, I am so glad you are back with us, I have really missed your face and hearing all the great things that you and your family share with us. You draw us in and make us feel part of your family! Luv u sister, great to see you again!!
I can not wait for your book!!!! I bought jess book Jill book and several others but buy far so excited to see this book. I've loved your tea herbs you made and been in love since. So I can't wait. So excited you can sign me up already!!!
I’m so excited! I know it probably won’t be as good as fresh goldenrod but I still have some that I dried so I just used that. The field I usually pick was sprayed this year and there isn’t a single stalk. I was so sad.
I just harvested some yesterday and I'm letting it dry. Perfect timing on the video. I was going to make a tincture, but maybe God is telling me to make one with honey as well?
Congratulations on your book. You have been a busy lady and I've missed you. This video is so timely for me. My son is a recovering addict and I have been waiting for my goldenrod to bloom and wondering if an oxymel would work for goldenrod. He needs it mostly for pain and inflammation from an old injury and cannot take the narcotics he used to use. I'm praying this will give him some relief. He also has seasonal allergies so two birds with one stone. Thank you for sharing your wealth of information. 😊
Lol done never 🤣 but anyways thank you for putting this video out about goldenrod I wish it would have came out a little earlier but that's okay I will use this as a resource😊 we are all just getting over sinus colds and being infused in honey yummy that even sounds better!! I am super excited about your book coming out too!! Congratulations 🎉 you did it Kaylee 🤗💗 if you succeed you can achieve!!
Grats on the book, Hows the Family doing, Mom and Grandma Good. Cows are looking good.👍Show me the 🐝Girls🐝how are they doing.😁 Hey what do you do with Hawthorn berries I have loads of ripe Hawthorn berries all around me. I wish I had goldenrod it is a wonderful Fall flow for the bees.
❤I gave a friend garlic honey with a loaf of sourdough bread and she asked what she as supposed to do with the honey. I said warm the bread, drizzle with honey and enjoy with tea (yes, I gave her homemade tea bags for stress relief). She’s job changing and I want her to be at her best. 😊
Love your video Have a? Do you place a piece of wax paper between tinture and lid to keep the lid from rusting . Also your thoughts on purchasing dried herbs to tinture...do to health issues I'm unable to get outside to grow or forage 😢 ..thanks
So I was told by a bee keeper here in FL that the honey made from having a lot of golden rod around actually smells different and not in a pleasant way lol. Do you find this? Maybe if there's a variety of things blooming it doesn't matter?? So intriguing. I JUST talked about goldenrod infused honey yesterday and then this popped up today ❤. I'll be doing that this afternoon:)
Hi! Is "Tall goldenrod" (Solidago altissima) the same thing as goldenrod? My phone plant app says what I have is "tall" goldenrod but I'm scared to use it....Also, question about the honey....if you sweetened your hot cup of herbal tea with it, will the hot water from the tea kill off the goodness of the medicinal part of the honey?
Our local bee keeper sells honey that is star thistle, coffee berry, and manzanita. Would that be raw honey and can I still infuse that with my goldenrod?
@TheHoneystead nice! I kind of figured it was something like that as the video went on and I listened. 😆 I need to listen first..but I'm getting to the age of needing to throw out questions when they pop in my head. I just gathered goldenrod last night for a honey infusion and just finished topping off my jar of goldenrod with 🍯 🧡 now I'm going to dry the rest for tea this winter!
What happens if you don't strain the honey/vodka/ACV? Does the plant matter cause problems? Does it extract something that causes negative effects? Does it just get to strong?
I started one of these from another site that said to put in a window for a week turning everyday but now I see yours for 4 weeks is 1 week not enough time? Just want to do it right
Often people think they’re allergic to goldenrod, because that’s what they see blooming when they have allergies, but they’re actually allergic to the plant (ragweed) that grows next to it. Are you sure you’re allergic to Goldenrod?
