Love Seiko watches,everyone that owns at least two watches will have a love /hate relationship with the brand for reasons that you specified, one of my biggest hates is the watch crown unsigned !? Unless you pay top money seiko will not sign your crown but every other watch i looked at around two hundred pounds all had signed crowns i know its something small to moan about but if others can do it why cant they lol and dont get me started on mineral glass and sapphire etc etc
Finally met the guy who buys all the seikos i find odd. Cannot argue when it comes to taste and personal preference. But now i know who ends up buying these kind of watches. Appreciate your bold and colorplayful style of dials. Youre definitely doing you and not someone else.
I like the GS, sharp edge gmt,mm300, and the solar dive chronograph. I’ve had bad luck with Seiko (4 watches) and currently don’t own any. I went for micro brands instead with non-Seiko movements. I always say buy what you like and if you like Seiko then you have a great collection Matt😎!
Thank you for sharing your awesome Seiko collection Matt, you have some incredible pieces, one of my favorites is the SLA059 with its beautiful red dial. Got to love Seiko, just wish they were more consistent with their offerings and took care of their QC. Your collection could use a couple of dress watches, but if they are going to sit and collect dust then keep focusing on what you like best. I'm also prefer divers, my dress watches tend not to be worn all that often. Great video my friend 👏👏👏
I really like your Seiko watch collection I give it a ten. You don’t wear dress watches, and that’s why I think that this is a perfect collection. Don’t go with the flow; go for what you like. I honestly like all of your collection. Enjoy!
I grew up with Seiko watches. They were great back then (50 YEARS AGO) and I lived by them. My (ex)wife 'assumed' all of my watches during the divorce - so I picked out a Prospex Solar Chronograph. I absolutely LOVE the way it looks! (Mirrored applied indices, piston pushers, stainless rotating circular slide-rule bezel, etc.) However, it has MAJOR problems I was unaware of at the time of purchase and that were never addressed. Consequently, they discontinued it - and with reason. I truly wish they would put out a SNA411P1 SOLAR - but this was the closest to that and it seems to be just trash. So, now I am looking back at manual & automatic chronos from other manufacturers. I just don't know if I can learn to trust Seiko again. (Love my SNA411P1 'Flighty' though!!)
Your collection is absolutely impeccable. Every one of them is exquisite but the last 3 watches you showed are out of this world. I think you need a big tuna and let me be more specific, just get a golden tuna. I know you are not a diver but it does not matter, I mean you already got a bunch of dress watches. Big tunas are great. Thanks for the entertaining video.
I don’t give a F… about bad aligments or and qc issues I just need my dose of Seiko every year,collecting Seiko is very similar to Heroin addiction,I done it both!!
Awesome collection, Matt! We have similar tastes. I'm really diggin' that Ice Tuna! I'd suggest an SBGE205 if you want to get a little more dressy keep a sporty element to it. Also, check out a Spring drive from the Prospex LX line (SNR 051 or SNR 041). An SBGA 463 would also be killer!
Awesome Seiko collection. I only have 2 Seiko's in my 50 watch collection, so not much of a Seiko fan, I just buy the ones I like. Just purchased 2 weeks ago the exact same Guccimazze Seiko. The look is just so unique I had to have it. Next will be the Seiko Batman GMT.

Nice collection. I probably have too many but I try to wear all of them. Been pretty lucky with the bezel issues until the last one , 900 bucks and I is probably the worst alignment I've seen.

@@MB_OutdoorsMT I've owned probably 60+ Kinetic watches since receiving my first one in 1996 as a gift (still have that first one & it runs great). I've had that happen to 2 or 3 watches but resolved the issue by replacing the capacitor. Capacitors (at least in the ones I've owned) generally last 6 - 10 years; less if neglected as you described. For the last 15+ years I've owned 5 to 12 Kinetic watches at any given time. Currently, I own 7 with an 8th on the way. My solution to the issue you referenced was 9 - 10 years ago I purchased a Seiko Kinetic Energy Supplier & it's been worth every penny.
My Dad wears a Kinetic Seiko and we had to replace the capacitor twice I guess. Even though he wears it regularly, he doesn't move enough to keep it fuly-charged. Personally, I much prefer solar-quartz instead. @@a_z.tazzzfan8497
Impressive collection. Amazing with all the grief we give Seiko for consistently ongoing issues 🤐 & shortcomings; we're still loyal to them 😇. My Seiko collection is nowhere near the tier ⚖️ of yours ☝️⬆️. However, I believe it's still decent 🙂. Maybe I'll do a Seiko SOTC on IG in the near future 🤔.
YES!! I lived by my 6138!! GREAT watch. It died last year and I sent it to Seiko three times and they just refused to fix it - kept sending it back MORE broke than when I originally sent it!. Suppose I COULD have shipped it to New York - there is a fella there who (for about $1200) will fix them - but... (Really LOVED that watch.)
@@adamselene5957 There are many places in Asia that repair 6318 and I think the price will be way cheaper than the one in NY. If you ever have the chance to visit Asia, maybe try bringing that watch to fix?

@@adamselene5957 To my knowledge the actual price might be less as well depending on the conditions and timing. As for the repair place, I know that Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Thailand have a great vintage Seiko market, so you can start from like Facebook community group of that country first.
