Love my seiko. Had a few crap watches in the past, but stopped wearing a watch when I got my first smart phone. For the last two years I’ve been wearing my seiko 5 automatic and love it. I have a brushed titanium band on it that suits it quite well. I get asked about it often and style chasers always look disappointed when I tell them. It’s like “nice enough to make you ask, but not booshie enough to be exciting”. To me that means it’s perfect.
What I love it at most .. that I don't have to spend much for these beauty, design, precission, quality, material, strap combination and craftmanship ..
i can’t explain it either… for someone reason i’m just totally head over heels in love with them. I started with the same original seiko, it’s a beauty!
I've got an SNJ 025 Arnie, which I modded into a full steel version with a Strapcode Super O bracelet, Marine Master 330 clasp, and steel shroud from a seller in Hong Kong. This particular shroud is an almost perfect 1 to 1 copy of the original, with the proper dimensions, angles and surfaces.
Cool vid. Love Seiko too and currently don’t have one in the collection, though I have reviewed a few on my channel. Liking the white dial samurai and the land tortoise at the moment.
I love my srp777 turtle, in the same boat as far as buying a king turtle. I don't have a Samurai yet so going to buy either the dark blue manta ray king, or the white king samurai. You have a great collection!
I got the blue and white flighty in a trade also in similar condition, I paid just under 200 for a new movement and I love it. Totally worth the money to fix it in my opinion.
7 Seiko’s in my collection of over 40….I used to have/buy more Seiko’s…Tired of their quality control issues on watch is under $1000 and I’m tired of them raising prices dramatically while giving you nothing more in return as far as specs and features. The last two I bought, including a $1200 ‘Captain Willard’ re-issue, Both had misaligned chapter rings/alignment issues. That’s not cool! Thanks for the video!

Have a flighty, great watch for the money, on the Arnie, bought it jdm and wanted the plain black one, unfortunately bought it at the hight of popularity. My favorite and newest Seiko was the sharp edge gmt, actually got a good price from my JDM dealer plus some loyalty dollars, slipped under customs so didn't have to pay that. I've heard they had imperfections, mine has none. The money I paid for it, more than offset what I paid for my Arnie. (fav not including GS). Get the King Turtle in green, decent discount, I know the do a lot of international sales and I think they check them before shipping out, probably don't want returns. Get your daughter a Nomos for graduation. Don't have a cocktail time, great prive, get hardlex is the only downside, but never had trouble with hardlex; If i crack on, would replace it with sapphire;
How can one guy have thirteen beautiful, glorious Seiko timepieces and every single one with the absolute horribly wrong bracelet are strap, totally unbelievable. Being a watch dealer and collector for forty years it almost like seeing the first person with two heads. Until he said his second job was being a comedian then it all came into focus, what else could any horologist except from a "joke boy", ok we get it, it's part of your act, we guess?
Before I stumble upon your post I was thinking to myself "gosh he has very nice straps on his watches I wish he had a link to some of them". I think there look great, but I'm a noob so 🙄
I might not have put it quite like this but yeah I wasn't feeling any of these straps 🤣... I'm the type to keep my watches stock though so I'm fully aware of my bias...
I'll be honest, I don't really get about half you collection, they look like variations of the same diver. I own(ed) two seiko's and never got their appeal and was more than happy to get rid of them.
