Great video. You are the Best channel on van dwelling. Informative and always interesting. Love when you cook! Here's a tip from another channel. I like pasta. I have a 2 cup wide mouth thermos. Preheat with a little boiling water (pour off) then fill about 1/2 way with pasta, pinch salt and fill with boiling water. Shake up. For 12 minute pasta takes about 20 - 25 minutes. Drain, dump into paper bowl (no chill factor - no sauce cleanup). Rinse out thermos with a little left over hot water and ready to go for next time. Only use this thermos for pasta. No washing needed.
Refreshing to see a van tour that is simple and (assumingly) low budget. You don't need much to make it work, but you can definitely go overboard! Thanks for bringing this sub-genre back to earth.
I like your setup. Very simple and efficient. You keep it tidy too! Love your videos for sure. You are the cream of the crop in van dwelling on youtube!
Hi Brian! Looks great! I think those of us who live full-time in our vans are constantly redoing things here and there. I'm in month two of my full-time van life and absolutely loving it. I love your videos! They're always so inspirational! Your one class act!
Perfect set up and for 1 person is what I would prefer. Thank you so much sharing your full time travel van. solor shower is so cool. Safe journey and Adventures
I watched your remodel videos but it's nice to get a full tour of the finished product. I enjoy your vids and how your rig (and you) have evolved over the years. Thanks for being so generous!
Funny how it seems like you have so much more space since you rotated the bed. I also imagine you've purged as you've learned what you really need. Love it. The mason jars for dry food storage is a brilliant idea.
This is one of the best camper van set-ups I have ever seen. Love the bed alongside the wall giving you a much more open look and yet a very useful way to do more than sleep and store your stuff-you can actually “ live” in this for a day or two if weather turns bad. Oddly enough, this is very similar to what I have worked out on graph paper as a floor plan looking forward to when I get my van in the spring and get back to camping.
Love your new set up perfect for one person! I really enjoy your cooking portions of your videos! Stay safe, God bless you and keep you safe on your journey. Thank you for sharing!
Magnificent organization. Coming back a few months later to study your layout in more detail. Very impressive. I am just under six feet, 5'11 and a half without shoes. I think I would fit. Lots of great ideas I need to keep in mind for setting up my own van in a year or so.
Brian you are great to watch. I love the fact that you bought a larger van, pondered it, and then went back to the old classic. When I was 13, working in landscaping, I took my summer pay check and bought a really expensive suede leather jacket. My oldest brother had the "Fonz" look with leather jacket to go with it. He was a magnet. I wanted to be one too. So I dropped several hundred dollars, put it on, walked out of the store and had a few people compliment me in the mall. I turned around and returned it in less than 10 minutes! I didn't have a car and biked everywhere. What business did I have with a $300 jacket biking to job sites! Your van debate made me think of this. It is interesting to see the heavy miles a v-6 can take on too. Too bad Honda doesn't make commercial van engines - they make amazing v-6 engines generally. The set up is great. I will have to go back and see what happened to the AC unit. I have always had a drip/drainage problem with them on home install. Keep on going through your day with joy my friend. Best, Jim
I'm loving the setup! The vans age is in a sweet spot, old enough the average person can twist a wrench on it himself without funding ones mechanics Rolls Royce habit, new enough to drive nice. ☺ Happiness
Thanks for the tour of your new set up it looks more efficient . Also thanks for introducing me to Craig I've binge watched his van build🚐 wow what a trooper he is, inspirational that's what you guys are to me🤗👍happy trails
That looks like a very well thought out and efficient van set up. It looks like it allows for a pretty comfortable travelling living space. Great job on that my friend. Thanks for sharing the tour with us. Stay safe out there and enjoy yourself.
A Cool, simple, spacious, easy to maintain, efficient use of space, ideal for a single (and dog if wished) plus a few extra clever hax. Thnx for the excellent informative fuss free tour bud!
I love love love the simplicity of your build. Thanks for sharing. I will be starting on my build in 2019. This is inspirational for sure. I LOVE THE MAIL BOX IDEA. I will be using it. lol.
Thanks for the tour. I am looking at outfitting a van for some extended trips next year and love gleaning experience from someone who does this full time. I watch every video and am grateful for all the hard work you put in to your channel.
I'm glad you showed that was a mailbox I thought it was a basket and that your lights were spice jars. Lol. Now it makes sense I wondered why you would have spices over there instead of with the other food stuff.
You don't have a battery charger for small rechargeable batteries? I have one that charges AAA to D batteries and love it. I buy lights that use AAA and keep extras on hand and charged. They are more expensive initially but save you $$$ down the road and you can't beat having fresh batteries at hand.
