It was so sweet of you to get your loctician a gift! I’m considering sisterlocs and found this video so helpful. Thank you for sharing. Stay well. Blessings…
Thank you! I'm really glad that I did it to hit things off on the right foot with her. I'm glad the video was helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions 😀
It is so important to have a good relationship with your loctition. You hair looks great. I am a #newsubscriber who is also documenting my Sisterlock on RU-vid. I look forward to more of your content.
Thank you so much Jean! Yes, I wanted to make sure to start our relationship off on a good foot. That's cool that you are documenting your Sisterlocks too!
I have no idea why this video got me so hyped like I never had Sisterlocks before. But, thank you for posting, I'm restarting my journey in March and this time around I'll have drastically shorter hair and I think you just, I'm not sure, but I thank you! Anyway, I look forward to following you and your journey while I recapture mine along the way.
Congratulations on restarting your journey in March! That's so perfect that you are doing it in the spring time since that season represents new beginnings! Best of luck to you and thank you for watching.
Thank you! My father is Kenyan. Although I was born and raised in America, I am working on learning more about the culture and history of Nairobi and Kenya...Yes I was happy to get her a gift just to show my appreciation 😊
Hey, I know I should be commenting on the locs (they are gorgeous) but I've got to comment on the Dr. Teals!!! It's sooooooo good!!! LOLOLOL. That's so sweet of you to gift her!!!
I cannot wait for my establishment which is in January. You and I have the same length of hair at the time of start so thank you for this video. I am excited to begin the journey.
Thank you so much for the detail , and the visuals. This is exactly what I was wanting to see , it set a great expectation. and I love the idea of getting my locticitan a gift , my install is one week from today 4/7 and I cannot WAIT !
Hello Joy. I’m also Joy from Dallas. I am getting my sister locs this weekend. I’m glad I found your channel as an inspiration. Your locs are beautiful😍.
Hi Joy! We have three really great things in common! Congratulations on your Sisterlocks and thank you for the compliment! I am glad you found my channel too! You'll have to let me know how your installation goes. 😊
Thanks for documenting your journey. I have had my locks 2 weeks now. It helps to see how others started and progressed. Off to view more of your journey. 💞
So excited! I'm in Dallas too! And I've done my research on locticians and #1 pic was Loc Theory...I think you just confirmed it! I have to grow my hair out because it's about 2-3 inches on the side and 4 on the top! Plan on loc'ing it in Jan 2022!
Hey that's great to hear! I only had a couple of inches of hair when I started looking around for a loctician too and I'm very glad that I found Loc Theory. I'd love to hear about your consultation and/or installation when the time comes. Take care Kimberly!
Hello, I had my consultation this week for my Sisterlocs. I have to go back in two weeks. I’m excited!! Did she take your test lol out when she did your installation?
That's exciting! Yes, my loctician took my testers out on the date of the install. It was really motivating for me to keep them in also as I was waiting for my installation. I think I spent time looking at them and feeling them almost every night. Thank you for your comment and thanks for watching!
@@JoyMorrisBeauty she put 8 test locs in my hair and yes I’m touching them every chance I get 😂 thank you and I look forward to watching your Chanel and seeing your locs flourish.
I think those are micro’s not sister locks due to the size, but those are cute. I just got my establishment completed and it took me 4 days to get it completed.
They are most definitely Sisterlocks, although microlocks are nice too. There is still some size variation within the Sisterlocks standards and I never liked the teeny tiny ones. With six inches of natural hair, my loctician who is skilled with speed was able to install mine in 12 hours. Each loctician is different.
Thinking of sisterlocs also. Waiting on hair to grow out some first and looking for a reputable loctician. Hopefully I can start my journey January 2022 Please keep us posted
Hi Linda! I've got my fingers crossed for you as you grow out your hair and look for a loctician. I post monthly updates on my Sisterlocks and I posted my latest update a few days ago...in that video, my loctician gave advice to those new on their journey/thinking about starting a journey. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_2OkURIDmP0.html
I really wanted to ask you are you positive that your hair is 6 inches? Im only asking because I was thinking it was 4 inches when I initially saw your picture and then I saw your caption it was 6 inches. As a stylist I just want to gage properly on time and length. I like to come on here every now and again to compare density and length to times I can expect the range to be! I want to be clear in no way shape or form is this a negative question at all I promise Im just looking for accuracy!!! Your hair came out wonderful btw!!
Hi! No there is no offense taken 😊 I measured by hair before I had it done and it was six inches. I probably have one of the coiliest hair types possible, literally penspring size curls in parts of my head. It's hard for my hair to show it's true length. I've had my locs for two years now, and they still shrink because my hair is so coily. I'm glad you've enjoyed the video and found it helpful. Take care!
I'm in love with my newborn locs! I thought I might need a wig until I could "find my cute." I put on a head band, some earrings, and beat this face. I feel so much peace! Thank you!
@@msgporter8949 that's great! It is a wonderful feeling to have your hair be free and to be able to watch your hair grow and change. Thank you for letting me know 😊
@@JoyMorrisBeauty okay I thought is was interlocked, your locks are so perfect I just decided to ask. I’m getting sister locks in April I’m so excited.
Hi! I honestly don't know the exact size but I think I may have a combo of medium to large Sisterlocks. I have somewhere around 370 locs, and I'm really glad they are not smaller, especially after just dealing with postpartum thinning
There are a lot of variables with the price: part of the country, experience of the loctician, length/density of the hair. I've heard price ranges between $700 to several thousand. It is worth it to pay for quality since it's a permanent hairstyle.
@@JoyMorrisBeauty Thanks I am looking for my new pair. I am in the UK 🇬🇧 however I am use I saw that brand. Love your hair too. Started my journey last Thursday 😄
@@satchiebabe6052 I love the UK! I spent part of grad school traveling all around the UK 😊 they are also sold on Amazon if you are able to get someone to put in prescription lenses. And congrats on your journey!!! 💕☀️😊
Yea she was FAST in 4hrs basically majority of ya hair done...My install was 8hrs each time the pleasure of short fine low density hair lol...U have a full head of hair so yea 11-12 was cool for a 1 day install
Thank you so much Jacqui! I've had my Sisterlocks for three months now and I'm absolutely loving it. My loctician helps it be so easy for me and I am truly grateful for that. Dr. Teal products are great! I'm glad you all like them too!
Yes we are! I recently had my first retie and it felt great. I'll be posting monthly updates on my Sisterlocks so I will upload my month 2 update sometime within the next month or so.
