You don't need all the crap this chick uses. Most of it is a waste of money. So much of how your skin looks is genetic anyway. You can take excellent care of your skin with cheap drugstore products. This girl, and other youtube beauty girls, are paid to push these expensive products in their videos. You don't need them. At all.
if you wear makeup, coconut oil is a great substitute for what Shani uses ♡ also, you don't really need a brush to exfoliate. you can just get a grainy exfoliator and rub it in nice with your fingers, drug store products work wonders too!
drugstore skincare may not work for everyone. its not a waste of money maybe for you it is I use similar products to this and it works for me. So don't claim things that might not work for everyone...
I use coconut oil to remove makeup for the exact same reason you use the dermalogica oil and the coconut oil works like a dreaaaaam. All the makeup just slides off so easily hunni it is the best to just feel my eye makeup easily slip off. 10/10 recommend if you run out of the dermalogica stuff haha! Only like 7 dollars for a big tub and it does wonders for your skin. So nourishing on the skin and your skin will be glowing when you wake up. #NotSponsered #WishItWas ;)
+MyrtheLinde I honestly don't know sorry, but I will say if you struggle with oily skin it actually helps because your skin feels the oil and stops producing excess oil! it's super gentle and calming for the skin and I use a toner afterwards so that keeps it matte x
You are honestly my favorite RU-vidr. Your self confidence that radiates from your videos has helped me learn to love myself. And your editing skills are the best and have improved a shit load. Love you lots and keep doing what you do xxx
haha i have a very similar routine, takes me about 10-15 min honestly. but trust me itll be worth it! and also you should only do a face mask 1-2 x a week if you want and usually you leave those on for like 20 min while you are watching a movie or something :)
Omg, I just wanted to thank you for the code! It is so generous, and I can't believe the discount! It is so cheap, and totally worth your money! Seriously, I went online and bought it straight away, I knew it was worth it. Thank you so so much, best product I bought that I actually needed! xxx
only just discovered your videos and you are the best!!!!!! honestly you have inspired me to do so many new things and use new products and we also use so many of the same products! best beauty/lifestyle blogger i've ever come across, please keep it up you're very lovely and candid and nice to watch!
I literally stopped the video as soon as you mentioned the vanity planet cleansing brush, I have been meaning to buy one for ages!! thankyou so much :) You are beautiful Shani xx
What about skinstitut ? I started using it because of you and loved it but now I feel like it's not very effective anymore. Did you experience the same thing? I'm curious as to why it wasn't included/ you no longer use it :)
Birth control messes up your hormones so bad.... Once you get on the pill, you can have terrible side effects and once you start using it it's hard to come off it because it messes up your body. Medication is not the answer people!!!!!
I highly recommend the vanity planet face brush thing! It works really well and I didnt use it for a week and I started getting spots again so yea it works! Not sure about the face washes though :/
since i went vegan my skin cleared out pretty well (expect for my pores arghh) but now i have some acne scars:( i remember you talked about how you like a full coverage foundation cause it covers your acne scars but now you don't have any. do you have any tips on how to get rid of them? i'd really appreciate it, i'm going crazy! haha xx
Try any products with glycolic acid in them, the pixi glow tonic is amazing at minimising dark spots and scars and try and stay away from sunlight as it makes them A LOT worse! If you have a little bit of a bigger budget you could try the Alpha H liquid gold, I've just ordered it and it's renowned for getting rid of scars x
try a derma roller it's super amazing it fades of acne scaring and stretch markss it's basically a little device with microneedles thats u roll on ur skin (it doesn't hurt) and it causes enough damages so that ur brain makes it heel and the acn scar will heel with it so it makes ur skin revew
The chemical exfoliator Glycolic Acid (also known as AHA), Vitamin C serums & Hydroquinone (skin lightening) products are the best for scars/spots. If you use any of these try to follow up with a sunscreen spf 30+. It helps protect your skin, heal faster with other products, plus has anti-aging properties that also prevent the marks from getting any worse. Good luck x
Get good facial products I recommend o cosmetics to anyone in Australia, Vit A is amazing for scars but very strong so must be monitored and prescribed by a beauty therapist. Dermal roller your skin as well for a facial treatment or if you can't find that treatment microdermabrasion can help with a series of treatments and or peels done by a professional beauty therapist.
Shani i was wondering because i noticed that a lot of other beauty youtubers have the vanity planet thing and i have really really bad skin and i want to know if it is really worth it because i want it to work but i dont know if it was sponsered
I have really bad acne and I've been using the skin spa for almost two weeks after seeing this video, its so worth the money! I would pay the full $125 for it if I knew how amazing it would be! My skin is almost completely cleared up after only less than 2 weeks and its so soft and the tone is so even! DO IT you won't regret it!
YOU ARE HONESTLY SO GORGEOUS! You are so funny and down to earth unlike alot of the young female youtubers i've come across. Please carry on doing what you are doing and being yourself because you truly seem like such a real person. MUCH ADMIRATION FROM SOUTH AFRICA (born and bred Australian though) XO
Am i the only how now wants to go buy 1000 skincareproducts and do this skincareroutine after watching this video? Haha This was such a Nice video Shani, you are the cutest!!
please do a vid on how you place and blend your eyeshadows???? your eyeshadow seems to have a straight shape rather than round and i think it looks so cool!!
I was hoping that this video wasn't sponsored and was your true opinion, because girl, my skin needs it! I knew when you were describing the dermalogica pre cleanse that it was legit, because yes, we need to stop using products that remove our natural oils! Your skin is flawless, love you xo
I know that the Clarisonic can clean your pores... BUT it can open your pores larger, and cause more serious infections IN your skin. I used to use my Clarisonic ,but after a while I began to get more break outs and my skin began PEELING. After that I never want to experience that EVER AGAIN. I have sensitive skin too and still it made my face worse. I have a dermatologist I always go to and she it the BEST! My skin is better than ever before.
I have pale sensitive skin too! And ive been using the clarisonic for the past 3 days i have terrible breakouts now i literally wanna cry so i just washed my face with my hands a applied coocnut oil on it bc of the anit inflammatory and anti bacterial in coconut oil, what helped your skin??
Jo Luppino I used this "miracle mask" it's called Uptan Mask. It's made with real spices no harsh chemicals... I used this daily and you can REALLY see a HUGEE DIFFERENCE! Uptan is made from India you can find it in Whole Foods or order online on amazon. Although, my dermatologist recommended me this and now my skin is glowing and no more scars!💓
They have different brush heads for sensitive skin! I would try out the cashmere or radiance brush head for your clarisonic if it's too abrasive. And maybe use it only at night if it's still too much. Plus, stick to the first setting.
Confused as to why you don't have a billion subscribers yet! Your personality combined with your editing skills makes the best RU-vid videos out there!💗💗
So good that you promote healthy skin and having a good routine to your subscribers! The first step to beautiful makeup is beautiful skin. If you don't mind spending a bit on good skincare you should definitely try Babor. It is absolutely incredible!! Especially their Hy-Ol if you like dermalogicas Precleanse. Love your videos, can't wait to see more. Xx
Shani you are so beautiful! Naturally! Even before you got things done to your teeth and stuff.. I look at your older videos and just think wow she's so pretty! Like all your 'imperfections' or whatever are actually really nice! Also Id just LOVE to say that i absolutely admire you! Because you are (or seem) completely yourself on here/snapchat, that's such a powerful thing to do! You've got a lot of self strength! So inspiring, I love you!❤️
Shani! Thanks for recommending that Chap-Stick Night Repair, I always wake up with the worst chapped lips and that lip balm has been the best thing! It has completely solved my problems - new favourite for sure. So thank you! ☺️
jacki Thompson I'm late but whatever. A clay mask is for all skin type, preferably for more oily or combination skin, though. Dry skin can still use it too because sometimes your skin needs to get detox, to draw out all the dirt and impurities. Just as long as she put moisture back onto her skin after the mask, it's fine.
girl, pulling those falsies off like that will stretch out your delicate eyelid skin. At least try to dissolve some of the glue with eye make up remover first...
Bella 0407 Surely the fact that oral contraceptives are a Group 1 (the highest level) carcinogen should be enough to not use it. I know lots of girls use it to regulate hormones, but I think artificial hormones should not be relied on, especially when the cons outweigh the pros. Natural alternatives are much better, and there are so many options. After coming off the pill I started using vitex and a couple of other herbs. I wish I had known about natural methods earlier. But hey, if you're going to put that into your body, that's your problem.
+eeyores and would you mind kind of breaking the that down and saying how you take it and how it works? That's super interesting you can not put the chemicals into your body but still have affect birth control method of babies aren't in your plans:) thanks
***** Go on this link, and scroll through the list. It's pretty eye opening! www.cancer.org/cancer/cancercauses/othercarcinogens/generalinformationaboutcarcinogens/known-and-probable-human-carcinogens If you want more in depth information, you'd need to go to the WHO (World Health Organisation) website.
Kendall7444447 Unfortunately what i'm taking isn't a birth control method, but it does regulate hormones to fix acne, period pain/irregularity, mood etc. For birth control there are non hormonal methods such as copper IUD and the lady comp. I don't use any of these though. I have heard horrible stories about the copper IUD and wonderful stories about the lady comp. Also I think you should do some research on Vasalgel. It's coming out sometime next year from what i'm aware. It seriously seems like an amazing birth control option.
Anyone who some really good drug store (inexpensive) skin care products, I have oily skin and I am prone to acne but I can't afford anything to out their!💓
I use the Olay cleansing milk. It's really gentle so it doesn't strip your skin of oils. I also use rose water as a toner. It is amazing in controlling the oils of the skin. I have oily skin. Usually when I wake up in the morning I look as if I've bathed in oil but not any more. You can get it really cheap in any supermarket.
