I think keeping our skin care as simple as possible is such a great tip. I just turned 48 and taking care of my skin is and always has been a top priority. And it doesn't have to be an extreme 17 step routine. Thanks for sharing what works for you. ❤

Interesting. I'm in my late 50's. I didn't have a line on my face until 48/49( pre menopause) and I honestly used nothing special because I couldn't afford it. Post menopause I use Cerave cream to foam cleanser, I love ROC vit c toner ( one of my splurges) but you only use a tiny amount on a cotton round. I use Skin1004 Centella eye cream morning and night. I use a fairly simple moisturizer at night like Cerave, or ELF holy hydration, on a morning I use Sali Hughes Vit C serum and then Skin 1004 Centella spf 50 ( no moisturizer as I have combination skin unless it's super cold). That's it. I've tried retinols on and off but still not convinced they are worth the money and extra step though my skin really likes Vit C.

I agree, the more simple the better. And only using what you really need- saves time, money and probably our skin! Ruth, Your skin looks absolutely stunning by the way!! I’m the same age, and didn’t start using spf until I was 37- omg girls don’t do that!! I’ve had some damage to try and reverse, so it’s taken more time and effort to get where I am now with my skin, and I’m still working on minimizing the eye wrinkles and creepy skin beneath my eyes when I smile. I really wish there was more available for that… I tried the Obagi line for 2 years, including their $170.00 eye cream which doesn’t work. Right now I’m doing the vitamin c serum, a copper peptide combo from maelove, and a lactic acid followed by an spf day cream. And at night the Obagi blender and trentinoin, and cetaphil. 2 days per week I use a gentle glycolic at night rather than trentinoin. And I too have jumped on the red light bandwagon! I just added the Newa device which I’m really hoping helps with the eye area. Congratulations on your book Ruth, I’ll be adding it to my birthday wish list for December 💝🌷!!!

I love the oat cleanser, I rebought it the other day and it has little scrubs bits in, I don’t remember it been like that before, they massaged down mind.

This was really interesting thank you I'm 47 and my skins in pretty good condition, it is dry I tend to use hydraulic acid and vitamin c and really moisturising er moisturiser haha xx I've never tried retinoids but I would like to my skin can be a little sensitive so I get a bit scared to try xxxx

I had to throw inky balm away just because I didn’t have strength to squeeze any out wish they did one in a tub. I’m using Clinique cleansing balm but would like a cheaper one for sensitive skin. Any recommendations
