You saw a C-17 on the runway. It’s a workhorse for the US Air Force. You can fit full size vehicle’s in the center of the plane. There are seats all around the sides of the plane. There are seats that can be placed in the center but that is usually saved for cargo. I’ve had many flights on this plane. It is one of my favorites when I flew into Afghanistan. It is massive in size.

Hey Adam, not sure if you've done this before but for a future trip to Vegas, I recommend either flying in/out at night to see the spectacular view of the Vegas lights at night.
I flew from Vegas to Raleigh at night and it's strange how one minute you're flying over the Vegas city lights then it just goes black once you get to the desert.
You say that the circles on the ground intrigue you. They are pivot irrigation growing either corn or soybeans. Usually in the plains states. IE Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri. Keep up the great work! We really enjoy it!
Those circular fields are used out west as a method of irrigation called circular pivot. There is a big arm from the middle kind of like a clock that rotates around the field to water the crops. Pretty neat.
Adam, the green round circles are examples of “ pivot irrigation” where the long arms of the irrigation unit sit over an aquifer for farmland use! Also, although the “ l “ in “almond” is prounved, the “ l in “salmon” is silent , so the correct pronounciation for “ salmon” is “sam- on” !
Right on Adam your lack of negativity is why I watch. I hate airports especially Las Vegas but you manage to still make interesting content . Live long and prosper 🖖
Adam, it was great to watch you fly "in the big seat" on Spirit. Thanks for sharing. The A gates have such a great lobby, even with the slot machines. C gates are fine but very generic. If you're trapped down there, hit Pei Wei if its open. Hopefully someday you can enjoy our northwestern airline, Alaska. The best - especially on the smaller aircraft operated by Horizon.

The slot machines in the airport reminds me of 1994 when I went to Vegas when I was 9. And we went to a Denny's. It has lot machines in it and I remember standing next to my dad and he let me hit the button and I won enough money to pay for our breakfast. Vegas memories.

Funny how things are in 2023. Who would have thought 20 years ago that I’d make it a point to watch some guy visit places all over the United States by planes and cars. Todays episode was a story about nothing. And 28,000 people have watched it already!!!! Amazing. I find Adam so entertaining. He has a great personality, hangs around strange and interesting people, and does things that I’d love to do if I had the time. Looking forward to the next adventure!

You're lucky to capture a winter rainstorm in Vegas. The average rain totals per year in Vegas are 4". With the majority of rain occurring during monsoon season in summer. Most definitely rare. Especially with the droughts in the last couple of decades.
I didn't know that Vegas has a summer monsoon season. I'd thought that any rain Vegas gets happens in the cooler winter months and that the long summer is continuously very very hot and sunny, with hardly ever a cloud in the sky. What I've always seen is that almost every day between May and September is over 100 with some days as hot as like between 115 to 120

Hey Adam, the circles you see out the plane windows are from an irrigation system watering farmland/crops. The system runs around a pivot makes a perfect circle. That’s why they are always so green. The more you know…
I flew Spirit for the first time last week from Las Vegas to Orange County, and sprang for the big seat up front. $48.98 with taxes for everything made it quite enjoyable, and cheaper than driving!
Lot of noise on take off with rain on that engine. 🛫 The stick is to poke the dried fruit? The bulkhead is the wall in front of the first row of seats to keep the open area in front of the pilot entrance and flight attendant food prep area. Great video!

At 6:29 if you look at the right side of the frame you see the 737-600 with a horizontal stripe across the fuselage that belongs to JANET airlines.. if you don't know what that is look it up. Pretty cool/interesting!
The slots in Vegas were a lot more fun when they used real coins. When you won the quarter's would drop into a metal tray. The sound was unique. The all digital machines are boring IMO.
Man. 209 bucks to park. Wow. I just checked. That 7-11 in Celebration to the Delta gate is 35 bucks. Might be the better option in the future for long endeavors.

Wow...Yeah, I was on an afternoon Spirit flight too yesterday, from Vegas to Burbank CA. 10 minutes into our final descent they turned the plane around and flew ALL the way back to Vegas, due to low visibility and bad weather. Finally caught another flight out to John Wayne late last night. You're telling me I was at the same terminal around the same time, and still never ran into the Woo? Cool 👍... That $9 snack box is awesome tho.
Went through the same thing as well. Was flying Vegas to Lax, and we circled lax for 45 minutes before turning back and going to Vegas. Had to stay overnight at a hotel, bit the airline paid for it.
Hey Adam, the big grey plane that you saw was a US Air Force cargo plane (C-17) which they use for all sorts of cargo to places all over the world, and where a big use in Afghanistan.
Adam that wooding thing that came with the cheese and crackers is to cut the cheese ( none pun intended). So it is mot so thick. I do not think it would work so well being wood. But that is what it was for.
Taking off out of Vegas had they been using runway 1L or 1R you’d have been in the perfect seat to see the city. You went out 26R so the starboard side would have been the view. Can’t really predict in advance. We use Southwest to Vegas from AZ so with open seating it’s cool cause we can choose at the moment after observing what runways are in use.
