Appreciate you recapping on the emotions felt back on your first visit to the natural history museum. Very awesome. Both awesome and amazing how far you’ve come man. Need to get back to DC myself. Love the National Mall area. Great video as always my good friend.
Adam, thank you so much for taking us on a tour of Washington. D.C. I have always wanted to go there and do the tourist thing. Being Canadian you might think that wierd. But I love history. So nice seeing the White House, The Capitol Building. Ford's Theatre, Washington Monument, etc. I had heard about Archie Bunker's Chair and the Sign from MASH at the Smithsonian but this is the first time seeing them. It made my Easter Monday ❤❤
Worked for 20 years on the hill at the Library of Congress, meet George Jr, Obama and Donald., plus many other heads of states and stars. Great video. You remembers the mayors famous words.
WOW, Only $22.00 to park a full day in DC, that's unbelievably fantastic 👏 I had a friend who met President Jimmy Carter on an aircraft carrier, he has a picture of them shaking hands.
What an absolutely amazing vlog. I’ve always wanted to visit Washington DC and I am not disappointed how beautiful the city is. Fun fact I was born in the city where Washington is in the North East of England where George Washington’s ancestors are from. Washington Old Hall was the family’s ancestral home and they still celebrate Independence Day there every year. 👍
I went to DC in the Summer of 1984 as part of a Safety Patrol trip. I am sure we went into places then that would be pretty hard to get into these days without some type of full background check. We even went into the White House. As a kid it was the most boring part of the entire trip. But as an adult, it's pretty cool to think I have been in there. Adam, thanks for sharing this day with us.
Thank you for showing DC. I miss living outside of the area, especially during Cherry Blossom Season! Can't wait to watch your next episode of VA towns
I remember seeing the Exorcist in the theaters when it came out. I was 15 years old and when I got home, I couldn’t sleep all night. Scared the hell out of me.
Very nice! So peaceful and tranquil looking. Such a nice leisurely stroll. Thanks for taking us along. I was in DC twice I think. One was during the "blizzard of the century" as they called it then. Your leisurely stroll stoked some memories for me. 🎉
Didn’t know about the Pantera-Exorcist link for the title to that masterpiece of hard metal very cool. And that wicked Reagan voice was spot on man had to listen to it again a few times🤘🏻
I was just there a few days before! I wish I’d just driven in to the city and paid for a garage. I paid way more parking on the outskirts and riding the Metro! We went to the Museum of Natural History and saw the White House too. It was the first time for the kids! So fun!
That black suburban driving buy when you were talking about vehicles having to be searched was a motorcade type vehicle with the heavy duty wheels on it! Thats cool!
We live in the central Florida area and really been appreciating your videos. My husband recently has been temporarily disabled and for that and financial reasons haven't been able to get out and enjoy.. anything really. Thank you for taking us along your travels 🙏
What a fantastic and interesting place,so much to see, the buildings are stunning, the Natural History Museum amazing, absolutely love when your traveling round the country Adam, Thankyou
I went to DC in 1999 for my 8th grade field trip, I loved it, I listened to Eminems first album the whole time that had just released on my brand new walkman my dad bought me for the trip! I remember the Korean War monument being particularly amazing!
So many awesome things to check out there thanks for sharing with us be cool to check it out 1 day but if not can just enjoy your video on everything you shared. Just saw your clip from the DC news now channel. Thanks for sharing
Adam, really enjoyed your video! The White House is so beautiful! Awesome and cool things in the museums you went it! The tea you had looked good. I don't like The Exorcist and watched it once and stayed up all night and couldn't sleep. Cool that the house is there. Looking forward to your next vlog.
Awesome. Brought back fond memories of my travels there in ‘09, ‘10 and ‘11. Great times with friends and my visits to WW2 veterans who became great friends… Sadly those men of the Greatest Generation are gone now… Was a bit disappointed you didn’t visit the WW2 Memorial but I guess on Easter it is very busy and crowded there. Thanks for sharing this video.. now I want to go back to DC again. Kind wishes from Belgium.
Ford theater is free. The Peterson house is also free. You just ask the park ranger at the door he’ll hand you a ticket and across the street at fords theater the ticket booth is inside and get a free ticket
Howdy Adam. Glad to see you back solo. Good timing. Weather in DC perfect right now. Fabulous Easter weekend. That was Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, oldest catholic church in DC. Used to duck in here in the winter as a kid to get warm and say a quick prayer.
Liked your DC visit. Our family went there in 2021, during covid closure unfortunately, but we were there for our son's National Youth Leadership Forum trip. My husband and I considered anything extra we got to see as a bonus, and we saw quite a lot even with Smithsonians mostly closed down or needing timed tickets. Looked up DC News Now and you made it in there. Cool.
Love this video!!! I grew up going to DC often. The Smithsonian museums are amazing, so much to see! If you have a chance, travel up to Hagerstown, Maryland, only like an hour and half from DC, there is the Antietam battlefield, they often do re-enactments and it’s a cool historical place to visit.
Thank you for another great video Washington d.c. is my birthplace live there till I was 20 years old sometimes I miss it thank you for taking me back to my hometown cherry blossom trees were always so beautiful ❤😊
Well hello Adam! Nice to see you in my neck of the woods. :) We live in Northern Virginia, but we have season tickets to the Washington Capitals. When we drive down we pass closely next to the White House every single time. We love having the Smithsonian Museums. We do dips into them all the time. We live in a lovely area with true four seasons too! Come back anytime! I can hook you up with tickets to a game…
Glad you are back in DC Adam. The place at the end you filmed was Virginia across from the Exorcist stairs. I wish you would have gone over to the Temperance fountain on 7th and Indiana by the Navy memorial and Grand army of the republic memorial. It was funny when you were talking about being at work when you were in the natural history museum. Years ago when I got laid off if I was downtown for a job interview I would go to one of the museums if I had some time and I was thinking the same as you in the natural history museum "I should be at work". But I was in a suit so I looked like I was working 🤣
In the 90's we lived near DC and enjoyed several visits there, mostly taking the Metro in due to parking issues. I am surprised you never got a hotdog at one of the stands in downtown. They were some of the best hotdogs we ever had, but that could have been also because we were usually pretty hungry and often cold and it was cheap and quick. I haven't been to the DC area since a memorial service in 2003 for my sister who lived in Chevy Chase. No more relatives live near there anymore, so no reason really to go. Thanks for bringing back memories. Oh, and yes the Exorcist has to be the scariest movie I ever saw. I have seen the steps in Georgetown also. That is one movie I don't think many people have watched more than one time.
We have drinking fountains in Portland, OR that are always on. They were a gift in 1912 from lumber barron, Simon Benson, so his workers would drink water instead of booze at lunchtime.
Remember tho, absolutely nothing actually happened in that house. All the “inside stuff” actually took place in a sound stage at a studio location. It was make-up and latex. So this never happened, it’s just a story. And that you saw this on Easter actually does give you and your viewers God’s protection through His immaculate Son from even any real fear they might have had or would ever have about evil all together. 🙂
The following was originally on here as a reply of mine to someone named Bella, but I thought it was pertinent enough to post on the main board: Which reads for all now: Remember tho, absolutely nothing actually happened in that house. All the “inside stuff” actually took place in a sound stage at a studio location. It was make-up and latex. So this never happened, it’s just a story. And -that Adam saw and photographed (added from original for clarity) this- on Easter actually does give he and his viewers God’s protection through His immaculate Son from even any real fear anyone might have had or would ever have about evil all together. 🙂 ☮️ and Love ❤️🔥👑🌸
Been a MD/DC local most of my life and I always tell people you need at least a month or more to see everything...Ollie's is amazing btw...I highly recommend their burgers! Ollies and Ben's Chili Bowl are iconic for DC...also those "corrals" are to keep food trucks from parking and selling in those spots
Hi Adam. What a beautiful building the white house is. stunning. built in 13 October 1792. 231 years old. That's Impressive. Ivu old buildings gonna do some research on it later. from 🇬🇧 an old cockney gal 👍😄
I did a Summer internship at Georgetown, pre 9/11. Plus traveled there many times. You could go into any of the public buildings, free, no ticket required, with very little, if any, security (except White House, Capital and House/Senate office buildings). Then 9/11 happened! Now everything is button up so tight. However, everything is pretty much still free, but you need a timed ticket, from the National Park Service. The Peterson House, and Ford Theater/Museum (museum in the basement of the theater) is free - both require the timed ticket. Parking was horrible, even then. However the Metro system was/is fabulous, so you can easily avoid using a car.
I liked seeing all those dudes skating. Also, I was just watching a video yesterday talking about James Smithson and then you end up going to the Smithsonian haha. Also, Rays up!
I was in DC many years ago on a school trip. I remember going in the Washington Monument taking the elevator up and taking the stairs down. That was an experience.
Adam where did you eat on Easter ?I thank you for showing all the interesting things to see and do I would love to go there in spring with all the cherry blossom in bloom maybe next year in April you are the 💣.Happy Easter always a blast with you on your travels
Happy Easter Adam what a great way to spend Easter walking around beautiful Washington DC and to see so many historical things what more could you ask for plus when you went into the Smithsonian museum i couldn’t believe what I was seeing it really blew my mind to see thing I remember as a kid I was literally in heaven and when you went into the pop culture area that was also an area that was so special well basically I loved that museum so much I could spend all day in there just like i could spend all day outside walking and exploring DC which which has so much beauty and learning man Adam I can’t think you enough for such a wonderful day now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Adam and I’ll see you on the next awesome Adam the daily woo adventure also the news channel is DC Now on RU-vid and yes you were on it so check it out peace ☮️ out ✌️
My late father and his late brother had piece in the museum back in the 70's and 80's. My late father had two leather pocket books and my late Uncle had a piece of Sculpture there.
DC on foot is the way to go. There's so much to outstanding architecture and history to explore. Ford's Theater is on my bucket list. First time I saw the Exorcist was at a drive in, late 70's early 80's, either way it was terrifying! 👀
I lived in DC area for 3 years in the 1980s. I use to have meals at the Old Post Office when I worked for the FBI at 10th and Pennsylvania and for a law firm not far from the White House. I loved walking these streets and I got a lot of stuff from the vendors.
How many steps did you get? Man, walking in DC is no joke and you looked like you got 18-20k steps. That first museum you went to, The Smithsonian Museum of American History is my favorite! Great video!
@@badboy54956 yeah man, no joke! I live near DC and all my family and friends who come out to visit think its easy to walk all along the National Mall and do a few museums :) It always turns out to be 1-2 monuments and 1-2 museums (partial visits). You literally could spend a whole day in one museum
