Robyn Harrison Aww Thank you Queen!!! 😊. Yess I'm so excited for you to start your Loc Journey! I definitely Hope that you plan on Sharing the Journey with us! I'll definitely be Following along. #newsubbie
Thank you! I'm studying in preparation for my own journey and had not run across bunching vs budding. You probably saved me a good deal of aggravation! 👍🏾
Thanks for this girl.. gonna be starting my two strand twist locs this weekend.. when you said"do you! who cares its YOUR hair" it spoke volumes to me, even with my personal life in general. shalom
I really needed this! I am starting my journey tomorrow. I haven't had a perm in over a year and will be taking my Senagalese twists out today, and going straight into twisting without even giving it a second thought. I have been wanting to do this for about two years. Thanks for taking the time.
Thank you! I loved your video. I am doing locks on a friend tomorrow. I have done many retwists but tomorrow I will help a friend start her journey. I do not know yet which it will be the 2 strand or coil method. That will depend on my consultation with her. I am very excited and appreciate all the information you shared. I love that you don’t prefer to call them pros and cons. Experience tells me that what one person loves another does not. Information is the key and you had lots of great information !
Hey hun! I found u on IG while researching locs and loved ur hair! Went to ur page and saw that u make vids! I'm a subbie now😄 My daughter wanted locs cuz she is tired of me detangling her hair, and now I want locs after studying them for the last few weeks. I'm starting her's tomorrow and mine next weekend. I think I'll do a video. Thanks for sharing ur journey! 💜
LoveNikiRenee Hey Queen Hey!!! I'm sooo Happy you Found me! Thnk you so much for Subbing! 🙌 I'm so happy and excited for you and your Daughter to be joining the Loc Family! I'm considering Loc'n my little ones hair. I would for you to record the Journey and share it with all! I will definitely be watching!! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me! 💖👑
Just started my 2 strand loc 3 days ago...I am soo excited, I feel like I've been baptized. Happy I found someone to look up to with great advice and beautiful locs. Thank you You got a new subbie
Thank you for this video, I was wondering whether I needed product to start Locs, now I know I don't. Awesome! I will be starting Locs soon. Thank you very much!
Just started my journey, 09/06/2019 going to try using only coconut oil and water, this video has been very helpful, I’ll be sure to try the rubber bands thank you!
Thank you for posting this. I'm in the process of installing my locs using water and Jamaican oil. Even now I'm a bit apprehensive but determined to go forward. I get a great deal of validation from posts like yours. I hope you continue them.
Thank you! You definitely inspired me to start and I think I'd like the two strand method. Big up to you for shouting out other RU-vidrs with great loc advice.
Girl this is so much confirmation. I was just thinking of using rubber bands at the ends of my starter locs to keep them from unraveling until they lock up, and the Lord led me to this video. I really thought i was the only person to think of that lol.
This video made me so happy that I came across it..You told me something that I almost made a mistake and that was buying product to start my locs..I have different natural oils and I'm going to just use one of those instead..new subbie TY Queen✌
this is a great video. i love that you touched on the bunching. i had that problem with my first set of locs that i had and i thought it was budding and that it would smooth out so didnt mess with it. It ended up looking like big turds towards the bottom of my locs and i hated it and cut them off! if only i knew this then! I think im ready to start again.
As someone planning to loc soon, this video was very helpful. Really good tips. It'll be hard to get thru the first year w/o doing a braidout, but I plan to stay strong 😊
CarrieToo Thank you soo Much!!! Yes 1st year is the Roughest but Take it from me It's so worth it!!! It will end up being the Best Decision you've made considering your Hair! I'm hear whenever you need Support!!!
I have been trying to loc my 2 stand twist foreverrrrr but they keep unraveling 😒 So glad I found your video 😊 Great tips... Thank you for sharing. I will try the water oil method 🤞🏽
Great video.. I'm 9 months in and this video is very informative. Strangely, I have very lumpy locs but I started with a twist out so I'm going to a loctician to smooth my locs a bit... OMG, I don't use much thanks to lots of you tubers especially Yonnie and Damien... Right on girl.. Great video
Hey Queen! You have a new subbie. I'm doing all the research I can because I'he decided to loc with two strand twists and your video was SO informative and you and your locs are gorgeous!
Lovely beauty. In my first journey right before I cut my locs I inspired two of my sisters, niece etc. now I'm back in the game and their locs are all back and waist length lol! Yassss probably one of the best part of our patiently patient journey bringing out the locs of others!
Loc Empress Yesss!! Love that you inspired your Family. I think that's what inspired me to start doing RU-vid Videos is when I realized that my journey inspired 3 ppl now in my life. If I could have it my way Everyone would have locs. lol. Don't worry you're locs will be at waist length too. Just curious Queen, What made you cut your Locs the first time around?
This was a very inspirational video. I have been debating for years about starting locs. I even decided to go back natural for two years and then start my locs. Then when it came time to start it I was debating on if I wanted to actually start them myself and go through the journey or have somebody else start them and maintain them. This video just helped me come to the decision that I want to start my locs by myself and go through the journey....
Your hair is beautiful! I want to start my loc journey this year. I think the only thing I’m worried about is I see a lot of people lose their edges with locs. Lol my head is big as hell so it would be super noticeable on me! 🤦🏽♀️
Thank you! Your information was FANTASTIC!!! AND ON POINT!!! Your hair looks fabulous! I'd love to see your early two-strand twist pics/video. I CAN'T BELIEVE you said you're in NJ!!! Why in the WORLD couldn't I find ANYBODY in NJ over the last 3 years to START/DO MY LOCS!!!! Hugh sad face :( I also find Damian and Yannie's videos extremely informative. Do you do Locs and are you in Northern NJ?
Thank you for teaching me the difference between budding and bunching! I didn't realize they were two different things 😳. I definitely have some starter locs that are bunching but they have been doing so for a while now so may not be able to "fix" them.
Thanks so much for the tips, loved the video I've just started my loc journey with the two strand twist. I'm so excited for this journey and the process. I Love your loc they look great !
Tomyia Martin YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! Lol.. I'm so Excited for you!! Another Queen joining the Loc Family!!! Do you have an IG or SC i can Follow so i can Follow along your Journey!?
Absolutely love this video. Thanks for all the great advice, im in my second week of my loc journey and I'm in love so far. I love your locks by the way they fit you prefectly. Ok bye
I loved this video! I'm on my second set of locks. I had my first set for only 17 mos(Braid locks) I combed them out and now have had SL's for 3 mos and I thought I knew the difference between budding and bunching? lol I did not. Thank you for explaining that. I have been noticing some bunching and I've been afraid to smooth it out because I didn't want to Interrupt the locking process.
Chan H. You Are Very Welcomed!! Thank you Queen!! I soo wanted Sister Locs!! So happy You're on A 2nd Loc Journey. Glad i could Help. I think if you gradually and lightly rub out the bunching You shouldn't disturb the Process at all. Happy Locin Queen!
Chan H. No Problem! I be so excited to converse with Other Beautiful Loc Queens such as yourself! I think Rubbing may cause more Frizziness. Squeezing To me Seems to work best! 😉
Your hair is beautiful! I just put my hair in mini twist to start my loc journey. I plan to go to a loctician for my first two retightening then do it myself. Thanks for sharing your tips! I will definitely give you a shout out on my RU-vid page. And yes I have subscribed.
Tracey Scott Thank you sooo Much Queen!!! I Hope You're Loc Journey is coming along Very nice!! Definitely keep im in The know... so i can Follow along!! Definitely will Be Giving you Shout out in my Next Vid Queen!
How often did you wash your starter locs? I'm thinking of starting mine off with two strand twist too, and I'm literally watching every video on RU-vid! Great tips! Thank you!
This was very informative, I have been going through this transition for several months and I seem not getting my hair to lock, So thank you, I will stop the bee wax, and do oil and water, my brother did only that too. And his hair locks in no time. Duh, thanks
This was awesome. I have been researching heavily as well before I begin this journey. Do you have a video that shows your very beginning? I also aligned with Yannie and want to do it without products. I want to do it myself like you.
Why didn't you choose interlocking in the beginning since you have smaller locks? I really love them your so beautiful, I ask you this because am still struggling with choosing between interlocking and twisting in this my second set of locks.
i’m in the navy and locs have JUST been approved..my brother has locs and started with twists..so after a week of heavy research between twists and coils, twists sound better..i do marley twists so it’s no problem to start them myself, but i’m afraid i may not finish them in time for work..you’re saying leave them free, so if i had to do two flat twists for work, would the starter locs unravel?..
