I’m curious how your room is listed and what type of room this is. Some videos I’ve seen show beautiful bathrooms with glass shower doors and some have horribly outdated bathrooms that left me very disappointed with the condition of the bathroom and the small size of the room. Perhaps there are certain rooms that weren’t updated but we’re planning on staying there on our first visit to New Orleans in a few months and I don’t want to be disappointed! The hotel is beautiful but I expect my room to be just as nice especially for the price.
I booked the Traditional Room, 1 King Bed. You may want to call the hotel if you're looking for a specific room. As you mentioned, each room is different.
The higher up you are the more diffused the sound is because most of the music is coming from the street level, so commenting on the noise level is still helpful for people visiting. Even in loud party cities there are still usually quieter rooms or hotels that have better insulation, this being a vintage hotel is not going to be the case, though they do have a newer tower.
Louisiana has a lot of old haunted hotel's many southern states do old historic hotel's.I have always wanted to stay or visit one have yet to do so afraid but one day I'll work up the courage I do believe in spirits and afterlife. I love live street music but they need to regulate that around hotel's and businesses where people are staying and want to relax in peace there's a time and place to for music just gotta have boundaries and respect for other's great vlog.
Louisiana has such interesting history. The only place I believed in ghosts was when I did a haunted tour at the Stanley Hotel. One of the most spookiest experiences of my life! But I didn't feel anything here. It was just a lovely historic hotel :)
