Hello from America. I remember our flooding we had in our part of the U.S. several years ago, but it was nowhere near this amount of destruction and damage. I've only been subscribed to to your channel for a little bit. I really, really hope that everything gets better for you, your family, shop, and the rest of Deutschland that was effected. It's extremely sad to see the damage that's occured. Lots of blessings from America.
Hi, yeah I've seen news footage of floods in America and other countries before but I would have never imagined that we'd be having something like that over here.. Thank you! I might do little updates as we go along so you can see our progress and also how the region will begin to take shape again. We only got power and running water to our house a few days ago.
That sucks water damage what a mess I guess people cleaning out their basements come across some war items they didn’t know where there among other things
Bleiben Sie immer positiv und immer zumindest am Leben, und darauf kommt es an. Meine Wünsche gehen an dich. (Haben Sie noch Ihre WW2-Uniformen und -Ausrüstung?)
I am very sorry about the flood. Hope you rebuild quickly. The media is the same everywhere, they show what sells well and only what they want to show. Every day, this information mush is muddying brains. That's why I don't watch TV. I have several online news feeds. I wonder if this flood could have been avoided? Why did water infiltrate the city, and was it not possible to build water facilities that would redirect the water wave in a different direction or weaken its destructive force?
We'll do our best :) And true, you are right about that but we are glad it did get covered as much as it has been so we will hopefully get the monetary help we need to rebuild and get back on our feet. Well we do have one small dam sort of thing but it stood no chance against these masses of water. The river Erft flows through the city but usually about 3-5m beneath street level but it quickly rose to be a whole lot more than that. That being said there is investigation underway as to see if at least some of the damage could have been avoided. Certainly something needs to be done as this will not be the last time we will have such a flood with climate change making everything a whole lot worse.
