Hi! Thank you so much for your video, it's so informative. I have a few questions. How much money do you think one needs to save up before coming to DIS in order to pay for the cost of living and also travel to other countries? Also, I've seen from other vlogs that students recommend not taking classes on either Monday or Friday so that they are able to travel on the weekends. Do you agree with that advice? And even if I did take classes that were on every day of the week, do you think that taking 4-5 stem courses would be too heavy of a load based on other students you may have met? I also want to have a great academic experience, but I feel like I am concerned about balancing that with wanting to have fun and go see other places.

Hi Anastasia, loved the video! I've been thinking of doing study abroad at DIS over the next summer, and you covered so much of it. I'm wondering how complicated was your process in filling applications for residencies upon arrival, things like banking and other legal documents? Did you do that before hand or when you arrived in Copenhagen?

Hi Jon! So glad you enjoyed the video. The great thing about DIS is that when you get accepted they have you sign over power of attorney to them to file for residence on your behalf. There’s some standard information you have to give them but overall the program handles it and coordinates taking you to your on person residency appointment after you arrive. It’s super seamless, just another reason I love the program!

Hello! My name is Sarah and I loved your study abroad video :)) I just have some questions about your experience because I am going to Copenhagen with DIS next spring! Did all your classes transfer over smoothly, or did not all of them have an equivalent class for your home school? What style of housing did you choose and did you like it? how many classes did you take? 4 or 5? and do you have any general advice for me and my future with this program and the city? (:

Hi Sarah! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. All of my classes did transfer over smoothly, but check with your home university beforehand to make sure they will! I took 5 classes but honestly if you can swing 4 that would be a nice break. I did the residential community which was nice but I recommend doing the Kollegium so you can interact with more Danish students on a daily basis. I would say to take advantage of everything DIS has to offer, pick classes you are interested in & be sure to spend a lot of time in Copenhagen in addition to traveling around!
