love your storytelling style! i didn't know you studied abroad, that is so cool :) my friend recently studied abroad in denmark and she loved it, but glad you're breaking it down with all the pros and cons! and i did hear that there's a good mix of ancient and modern architecture/history in Europe, so I'd loveee to visit

I like the point regarding the history, that's a big aspect to why these countries are so sought after. And funny thing about the weather too!

As a Danish native I studied at university for 6 semesters, paying no tuition at all. All I had to do was to show I had the skills to take the education, and the Danish state paid for my education (and paid me a bit, so I could concentrate on my education, not having to take side-jobs unless I wanted to). The help I got back then is almost all the free help I ever got from the state of Denmark. Went to the hospital once (free here), and enjoyed mostly free roads, but nothing else. My education really helped me to make a lot of money, and taxes here are high. Looking back at the taxes I have paid so far, it amounts to more than USD 300.000 for each semester of free university education I got. But my education also enabled me to build a successful business here. And if you add up all the taxes paid by the company and their employees so far, it amounts to more than USD 5 million for each semester of free university education I got. So from a business perspective my country did the right thing by paying for my education, as the return of their investment in my education has been huge.

Thank you for your video. Lots of good info. Do you know more about the ability to work while at the DIS Copenhagen Study Abroad program? Did you come in contact with any US students who had jobs while in the program? I understand that the residence permit does include the ability to work as a student but not more than 20 hours a week?

hi i have a question, im gonna study in iceland and since they're all Scandinavian countries, is it possible to live in a apartment alone as a college student ? and do they give you a year of studying the language courses first ?

Scandinavia is only Sweden, Norway and Denmark -its a language group! Nordic countries are Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Faroe Island, Åland and Greenland (although Greenland is in North America)
