I have a limited wardrobe color palette, so I only buy trendy colors if they fit into that. Last year was great for me because taupe, one of my favorites, was widely available. Because white dresses are trending for this spring, I’m hoping to find more true white (not ivory, cream, ecru, etc.) items, it’s my best color. Many influencers routinely say that “cream is better than stark white”, but I disagree, it depends on one’s coloring, preferences and extant wardrobe items, true, cool white is much better on those of us with cool-undertone coloring. It’s annoying, I keep having to return items that are called white, look white in the photos, but turn out to be a yellowish cream in person. I only buy trends that are fairly classic, last year was great for that, too, and in natural-fiber fabrics or materials like genuine leather. Many of the trends are created by brands specifically to use super-cheap synthetic fibers, like this spring’s sheer trend. Those I avoid, stylish or not, I can’t wear plastic. There are usually a few trends I like every year, but not a lot. I won’t be wearing this year’s no-pants/only panty look, for example. Classic, elegant style forever! Like yours❤

I agree with the “no pants” trend - no way that it’s realistic for normal women! I also get frustrated with the colour descriptions online, seems white can be anything from stark white to yellowy cream😬 I also prefer white but don’t mind a cooler toned off-white, especially when it comes to pants!❤️

I don’t like embellishments much, either, they look cheap and date quickly. I do like classic details like good, well-placed buttons, genuine leather/suede and contrast-color trim. I’m so very tired of the puffed sleeves, tiered skirts and excessive ruffles that have dominated the clothes of the last few years. I’m 63 and want a more sophisticated style. I used to love prairie dresses, etc., but only was I was 10 years old! Now I want simple, clean, well-tailored items.

I totally agree! Simple and elegant is so ageless and timeless! I do love a puff sleeve on a top or blouse - but it has to be very well done and not look “Little House on the Prairies” 😂❤️

Great vlog! Was just doing a minor declutter of my wardrobe and accessories and came across a box of 80s statement button earrings. I think I had them put aside to give away but they are so on trend right now it was a great surprise!

Balloon leg jeans are definitely not for me, a bit clown like. However a wide leg looks elegant with closer fitting top. I’m with you on neutrals, no bows and whistles or garish colours and I’m good to go❤❤❤

H&M and Mango are among the brand that I share a lot of pieces from, and I even have a few videos on that.
