Yea but even spending millions won't make you catch more bass. I catch double digit bass every spring and I use rod and reel combos that cost around $200 and lures that cost no more than $15 or $20. Just caught a 5,7 and 10lb bass this past Saturday.
*Comes with everything you **enjoyable.fishing** need to get started fishing. I love how compact it is and yet very sturdy when fully extended. Haven't got anything with it yet, but that ain't the poles fault lol!*
Dang Geoff, I knew that you had some nice setups in your last rod and reel setup video, but these setups seem even nicer. I only have three swimbait setups right now, but each one is dedicated to a certain type of swimbait/certain size (oz). I was fishing with my swimbaits yesterday at a local lake, and I saw some bedding/spawning bass, but they were too small to eat my citizen 7 or toxic baits wad3 hoggs, so I'm thinking about going back, but I'll use a golden swimbaits hellion glide, and a yunique swimbaits G2 weedless, so hopefully they'll but one of those. Anyways, great vid as always Geoff!
Have you ever thrown a G-Loomis 966 swimbait rod? if so, do you feel if it is better suited for soft baits or hard baits or both? Do you think it's over powered or underpowered? and what size baits do you think its best with. I'm only looking to throw up to 8" long baits. Thanks
@@Awesome0Saus 200, it's not meant for swimbaits, but it does an ok job. It handles them but I lose maybe 10yds of casting distance because of the spool. I currently can throw 50, but with a tranx I can throw 60.
@@morganyoder4277 understood! I just picked up a 300k curado and will try and use it for swimbaits. It’s still cold where I’m at but I’m hoping it’ll be well suited 👍🏻
@@Awesome0Saus my buddy has one, and it works flawlessly. I'm thinking about one, but I really like the tranxs. They're almost identical, but something about the tranx seems better to me.
Which is the top segment rod on the market that can throw up to 50g of swimming bait away from the shore? At the same time, it should be able to lift 1.5kg of fish from the ground.
Do you have an option of the Savage Gear Browser? In Europe it was called Swimbait DFR. I have one and I love it for soft plastic swimbaits, although I usually prefer double treble hooks on a stinger tackle as I fish pike. We don't have Large or Smallmouth bass here in Ireland.
That setup should throw the Hinkle perfect dude! That z2020 is a workhorse and will fish that Hinkle great. I fish my hinkles on 25-30lb flouro or mono
It's not worth the money. They're great if you only use them for normal bass but catch giants and the gears will strip out. I've had 10 to 15lb hybrid stripers destroy Calcuttas. The Abu Garcia ambassadors will hold up. Get the c3 or c4 6500 size. Or if you want a low profile style and even more cranking power get the max toro. It's $150. That's what I use. I just caught a 5,7 and 10lb bass Saturday and it'll also handle big hybrids and musky. And if you heart is set on a shimano get a tranx 400. That's shimanos most durable reel.
Hey I want a glide bait that has long swooping glides and that I can work slow so I can imitate trout In my lake and less then 100$ if possible you got any suggestions?
Got to be careful with those Calcuttas. Big fish like hybrids will destroy the gears. They're smooth while they last though. But I've never had any of my Abu Garcia reels brake on big hard pulling fish. They just keep going. Like my max toro. It'll handle teener bass with ease and also big stripers and musky for many many years.
