As I stepped back by one of the beautiful doors to go out of the Celestial Room there was a sister temple worker stationed at it and she whispered to me "Do you know what is going on here today?" I quietly explained and she said, "Oh! I've heard of him." I said you should go and say hi. I said, "If it's allowed I can stay here at the door while you go say hi. She hesitated and then said thank you and went to say hi. She stood by and waited for a moment and then looked at me and started to walk back, and I motioned and mouthed, "Don't leave. Say hi.), so she did and was able to get a hug from David. She walked back just beaming! Yes, it was a Celestial day indeed. God bless.

I was very fortunate to attend the session in Pocatello. The thing that struck me the most, having attended the temple for 45 years, is how Christ-centric everything is. I enjoyed the beautiful stained-glass window of Jesus the Shepherd in the chapel. There were other beautiful painting depicting Christ and his ministry throughout the temple. The ceremony has Christ front and center, showing us what He makes possible for us. I thought surely David would pick up on that, but as Marty explained, the temple is so different from our normal worship that we can get caught up in the minute details and not see the big picture. The temple is indeed the House of the Lord. Holiness to the Lord and all he has done and will continue to do for us. Christ is in everything if we can see it.
It's changed immensely from the earlier ceremony I first went through. If the covenants had not changed, I doubt many of today's new goers would stay or ever return.

Thanks for sharing. After 37 years since my 1st time in the Temple, I can still remember that experience & my escort was so helpful in the whole experience. Yes, I can feel that David's sincerity & has experienced most of his life in the world but looking for that truth that he knew before & when found, it rang true to him. Those in the world are acting like people in a tall, spacious building looking out of the windows, mocking at those across the filthy river, clinging to the rod of iron, trudging their way on a narrow path, going toward light & peace & love; and the mockers don't like that one bit & they have to try to tear down others to make themselves feel good. How exciting! What a wonderful experience for all of you who participated! The best part is, when you wear your temple glasses, as you say, every time you enter the House of the Lord, you can have the same sort of experience! I get so excited every time I get to go, which is, at best, once a month because of distance and traffic. But I carry that spirit with me and it sustains me until I can go again. I have been following David since before he was baptized. I love to see how far he has come. I think this is part of what President Nelson said when he told us to think Celestial! How wonderful when we can all rejoice together!

Good afternoon Artie ... Great counsel. I did do a video titled "Temples are God's Universities. What Latter-Day Saints Can & Can't Share About What Goes on in Them!" ... There are a plethora of videos done by several member's of the Church who have a much larger audience than I do who have discussed the symbolism of temple worship such as Bryce Dunford's RU-vid Channel where he has a series of 20 videos on Temple Symbols (#1 - #20), and Jasmin with "Temple Light" where she's done several videos on temples and its symbolism as well.. What's interesting to me Artie, is how well God knows his children. He knew David's heart and what he would feel and the unfamiliarity and discomfort he would experience, and even the "five minutes of freak-out", and still didn't press me to talk a lot about it with David before that day. I thought several times that maybe I should tell him about my video on temple symbolism and where I talked about the coronation of King Charles the 3rd, and showed the pictures of his anointing etc., but I was convicted not to bring those videos up or to direct him to them on my channel. As you know, David mentioned Boyce Dunford's twenty videos in his video. Those videos really go deep into a variety of the symbols and their symbolism and what he thinks they mean, and so, I don't know how far David dug into those channels or videos. What I do know is that at our lunch together on Wednesday I was prompted to mention the Church's website and its temples pages with the few videos the Church has put up including the video on Temple Clothing, and David pulled out a piece of paper and wrote that URL down, and so I'm confident that he got home and watched that before his temple date on Saturday. David really follows the spirit unlike many new converts that I know, and so I think David was led and God allowed him to have the experience he had ... and here's why I think He did. This is just my opinion, but during the first video where David shares his thoughts on his Endowment experience and then the 2nd one especially, he shares such incredible honesty with incredible faith filled expressions of counsel to those who are soon to go and get their own endowment and those who maybe haven't been to the temple for years for the very reason they experienced what David experienced, and it was so incredible and spot on and we now have it to share with everyone who are soon to go to the temple. Thanks for being there not just for David but for those who are listening like me. The Spirit is truly guiding you in what you are saying and not saying. I have been afraid from the beginning that David would barrel through the Faith and end up quickly out the other side. With people like you by his side it will be harder for Satan to stop David from telling the world about the gospel of Christ. He has a pretty good size platform where he can reach those who would not hear the gospel message otherwise. I, like you have thought of several scriptures and stories that I would like to share with David. He is innondated with so much. There are many good ppl who are following listening reading and replying to David's messages. With both good and bad advice. I Love your analogy of the coronation of a King compared to the endowment- This reminds me of Rev 1:5-6 where it says we can become Kings and Priests unto God our Father through his son our Savior Jesus. He truly has a Kingdom made up of those who would be hiers, joint heirs with Christ. Davids wrestle with the Lord's ceremony reminds me of Naaman's experience his wives servant convinced him to follow the prophet Elisha's instructions and dipped himself into the river Jordon 7 times as was required by God. Then and only then was Naaman cleansed. He had to humble himself and have faith and do it the way he was told and in so doing was cleansed for it. 2 Kings 5:1-14 it had to be done in God's way and in the place God asked him to do it. May the good Lord bless you in all of your efforts in sharing his gospel!

Liked and Subscribed! I’m 65, received my endowment when I was 19. I found nothing about the endowment strange or upsetting back in 1977, nor the blood oaths (now sadly removed from our ritual). My mother is from Pocatello. When next, if ever I’m in Pocatello, I want you to accompany me as well to an Endowment Ceremony. I love you for your belief brother. Thanks for holding David’s hand, maybe someone needs to ask him if he’s ever signed a contract before… there are executions and signatures… and then there are executions and signatures represented and given in other meaningful ways…

I live just 2 hours and 15 minutes from the Pocatello temple, so it's a yes from me whenever you find you'll be visiting there. I was 18 (One week from 19) when my father was my escort through the Salt Lake Temple just before I left for my mission to the Gulf States. That was the summer of 1973. I was taught well by my father about the symbolisms I would experience throughout my temple experience and I never felt uncomfortable or disheveled because of ceremonial liturgy. I felt the seriousness of my making covenants with God. That was back in the days you went to the Initiatory with just the white 'shield' and got help with putting on the garment of the Holy Priesthood. In many ways I feel blessed to have had those experiences for they broadened my understanding of my place as a son of God, a mortal, and one day becoming an immortal, eternal, exalted son of God, and a Child of Christ. I certainly believe in the Godhead of the Scriptures as being three separate and distinct beings and not three persons numerically in one being, which is the trinity. David Alexander is what the legitimate Christian community calls a "cult hopper." That is to say, he has navigated from one sect to another hoping to finally fit in somewhere. He was a Catholic until he was a teenager, and then he claims that he entered "Evangelical" Christianity and became a pastor. No one I know is sure of exactly what kind of pastor he was, where his alleged "church" was, or what became of it under his pastoral oversight. The closest information I have been able to find out is that David was part of the "12 Tribes" schism which was not a regular part of what most people call "Evangelical." Now David has decided to become a Mormon. He is free to do what he wants, of course. It is only regrettable that David Alexander never learned the true faith to begin with and then left it as a youth. He has my sympathies.... 😶😶😶

At the risk of implying that I agree with you (When I don't), let me say that as a 70 year old man I know a thing or two about the temple ordinances, at least since 1973 when I received my own endowments. I have also studied them as they had their introduction in the "new" and last dispensation through the prophet Joseph Smith. Just as the Savior Himself knew that they Old Law would be fulfilled by His work of the atonement so that it "changed" to a new Law with new commandments, this work performed in the temple has had its developments since Joseph received the revelation regarding the work that needed to be done going forward. He told his successor Brigham Young that h=it was not yet complete and to get his own revelation from the Lord. This is true of every prophet and president of the Church. So, yes, there have been new "tweaks" that the prophets have received revelation on and they most definitely have not been due to outside pressure. The covenants and God's promises are the same now as they were expressed in Joseph Smith's day. One generation may need a bit more direct symbolic instructions than the next generation. The scriptures are replete with examples that show God teaches his people on the basis of what they need to help them overcome the world "in which they now live". No parent would be so lazy as to not recognize that each of their children have different needs and personalities and so they have to personalize their approach with each one. So @hpagalla, we can disagree to agree. I do appreciate you watching my video and more especially for taking the time to leave a comment. I also appreciate it in the spirit you did so, which was without a contentious spirit. it makes it so we can all be ourselves and respectfully allow each other to reason together. God bless.
@@MLBPublishing2023 great response to that negative comment about revisions to temple liturgy I see people using lately. We believe in continuing revelation. Jesus Christ is leading the church & instructing the prophet on what to do for us in this day. It has nothing to do with outside pressure from Babylon. If people are critical of continuing revelation regarding the liturgy used in the temple ceremony (which is distinct from the ordinances and covenants made there), then they are really scraping the bottom of the barrel in their quest to find something to criticize.
Not sure what happened but it cut off my last reply to you @hpagalla, so I will finish my reply to you. I have also studied them as they had their introduction in the "new" and last dispensation of the gospel by Joseph Smith. the prophet Joseph told Brigham Young that Joseph had got things going but that he needed to complete the work of refining the endowment etc., which indicates there were needed additions or refinements that needed revelation from God to complete them. The Lord has also reveals that we are still in the restitution of all things and we are not to try and restrict God from doing what He sees is necessary for the salvation and exaltation of Father's children, even a little "tweaking" of the wording of the Initiatory or the Endowment or the Sealings. These are His words for sure, but, mankind is human and therefore needs correction from time to time, even our prophets have been corrected when needing instruction from God on such sacred ordinances. Thank you, Marty for sharing your personal witness of David's temple experience. I have followed him from the time he first appeared on the CWIC show. I found his channel and begin watching his videos. I love the man and feel like he is a dear friend. Listening to his videos helped me to insulate myself from doubts caused from the falling away of some of my dear friends and even my own daughter. I looked forward to every video he dropped. His love and understanding of the Bible and the Gospel fascinated me. He has a way of explaining things that just resonates with me. I marvel how he is able to connect scriptures and reason things out. I remarried a Catholic man after my LDS husband passed away. That has been really hard because he reads and listens to the anti stuff and was giving me a hard time about the church. That has let up since I became a temple ordinance worker in the Richmond Virginia temple last summer. The Lord has really blessed me for my service! I love the temple and the peace it brings into my life. I have always had simple childlike faith in my Heavenly Father and my leaders and hearing David talk about it has made me realize what a gift it is. It really cuts deep when my friend or husband or daughter expresses their unbelief and disdain for the brethren. It has helped me be more humble and dedicated and closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. There is always a blessing that comes from each trial if we look for it and don't harden our hearts. PART I Constantine the Great. Constantine was a Roman Emperor from 306-337AD. Many Roman emperors that came before him were openly hostile to the Gospel, killing and persecuting Christians. Emperors Nero, Domitian, Marcus Aurelius (of Gladiator movie fame), Diocletian and others succeeded one another with bloody persecutions of Christians. Bit Constantine issued the EDICT OF MILAN" in 313AD, granting religious tolerance to all views. Constantine became sole Emperor of Rome through victories in a series of military campaigns against other rivals. During these campaigns he converted to Christianity from paganism. There is much debate whether his "conversation" was sincere, or whether he did so for political gain. PART II "The Council of Nicaea." In 325AD Constantine convened the "Council of Nicaea" the first Empire-wide meeting of church leaders to discuss various doctrinal controversies. Today some ask if the Books of the Bible were changed or corrupted, or even selected (in some back-room conspiracy) for inclusion in the Bible at this council. In fact, the main debate at Nicaea was the theology of the relationship between Jesus and God. One camp (led by Arius) held that Jesus the Son and God the Father were of different essences, and the other camp (led by Athanasius) held that they were of the same essence. Therefore we know that theological interpretations were staked out and the summary "Nicene Creed" was authored at this council convened by Constantine. PART III "CORRUPTION OR CONSPIRACY?" But were Books of the Bible changed and/or selected at this council? As we saw in "Article on Textual Criticism of the Bible," There are many manuscripts surviving today that were copied up to two hundred years before the time Constantine (and the Council of Nicaea). If this council (or Constantine) changed the documents of the New Testament then the manuscripts that were copied before the Council of Nicaea would be different than those that come after. But the copies show no such change. The timeline shows that manuscripts for Bibles today predate Constantine and the council of Nicaea by up to two hundred years. If Constantine and/or the council of Nicaea changed the manuscripts we would see the changes. But were the 'wrong' gospels selected into the Bible at Nicaea? (Perhaps by Constantine to bolster his side?) We also know that was not so because both sides (Arius and Athanasius) use the same gospels and Epistles (the ones that are in The Bible now) to argue their case. Arius and Athanasius did not disagree on what scriptural documents stated, nor did they disagree on which documents should be "in" the Bible. They disagreed, with heated debate, on the interpretation of the Scriptures--the same books of the Bible we have today. We know this because an account of the debates and intrigues of the council of Nicaea and Constantine's role in it is preserved for us in the reporting of "EUSEBIUS" who was one of the delegates to this council. The writings of Athanasius are also preserved. Ther you are Linda actual historic evidence of what happened at the "Council of Nicaea." Not from some Mormon "back-room conspiracy theories."
