Do you think that being in the 99th percentile is perfectly fine whether you're on the "low" end or the "high" end? Like, does it matter if you got a 1450 vs. a 1500 or is it looked at as the same? I would say I'm most self-conscious about my SAT because it's so easy to compare! Thanks for making this video btw :)

You're very welcome! In my opinion and based off of my experience and what others at Yale tell me, it honestly doesn't matter. A 1450 is theoretically the same as a 1500; furthermore, it is HIGHLY unlikely you will get rejected because they want you to (hypothetically) get a 1500, rather than a 1450. Test scores are mainly seen relative to your high school and area. A 1450 at your school could be really impressive than getting a 1550 at another school!

I was planning on making an essays video, but I don't think that will be out anytime soon! :( For my essays, however: 1.) Main Common App Personal Essay - Talked about a specific performance that I had and throughout the performance I would connect it to other smaller anecdotes in my life that involved "performance," such as how I "perform" in my Bridgeport community, how I "perform" as an actor, how I "perform" in my family, etc. 2.) Short Essay #1 - Talked about my hometown, Bridgeport, and how it shaped my upbringing. 3.) Short Essay #2 - Talked about how I related my job as a food expeditor to my experiences as an actor.

I just took free practice tests online! I would analyze my mistakes. :)

I am rooting for you! If you have any questions or anything, lemme know! In the mean time, keep good grades and test scores, make great connections with your teachers, start your essays, and continue your passions and develop your extracurriculars! It'll all be WORTH IT!

Thanks so much!! Your videos have really inspired and motivated me in my studies! For recommendation letters, do you get them from two teachers that relate to your applying major? I just took the Math 2 subject on December and gotten 800. I am taking my first SAT this upcoming March. Wish me a luck!@@ArnoldSetiadi

@@yejinsuh7666 You got an 800!? Holy, wish that was me. xD I'm honestly very glad to hear that!!! Hmm, it's great to have two teachers who relate to your major, but it's even BETTER if those teachers know you well and can give specific anecdotes supporting your admission, highlighting your characteristics as a person. Overall, get them from teachers who know you really well (preferably, in "core" subjects or subjects that strongly relate to what you wanna follow).
