Well that's wonderful but def don't waste your singleness on being all caught up in that desire. Embrace the season of life you're in and wait until the lord says it's time...I didn't use my single years well and regret it. You should get disciples, serve the church you go to, be different!
+Chelsea Denise dont get caught up in the world...follow what the Lord wants. in my late teenage years I went against my morality (I wasnt even a christian) and it caused me so many headaches and sadness. focus on you and Jesus.
Get the internal 'blockages' dealt with - i.e. healing for all negative attitudes, fears, feelings of not being 'good enough' etc. Become the kind of person you'd like to marry. Due to the lack of men in the church you may have to meet a guy outside the church but never compromise Godly boundaries (true whether the guy's a Christian or not). Serve the Lord in the sphere he's planted you i. e. business, education, workplace etc and enjoy life. You'll know when you're 'equally yoked' - you may have to pray the guy into the kingdom. If the only thing you have in common is Christianity it's not enough. Jesus called us to 'go' not be temple dwellers, so have confidence in him to lead you in the right direction.

I finally came to the Lord when I was 23, before all the bad things I used to say were terrible but now I say so many great things!! I wish I would have been a Christian earlier in my life. I would have been more focused in life and would have lessened so many insecurities.
I loved listening in on the highlights to your story. The fingerprints of God can not only be seen in the events that happened in your life but in your speech. I can really see the fruits of God's work in how you speak so God bless you and never stop telling of His goodness and grace! Be blessed

We been married over 15 years. We serve God first and then each other. There’s no spouse come judgement day so we must also develop deep connections with God beyond our spouses and children.

Amen. Thanks so much for sharing, can relate to some of what you said in regards to the bad church experience. We come out of a toxic church just earlier this year.. We live in a place that has no community and are looking to move to a place of acceptance and a church we can grow in.
I cannot wait to meet him one day!The plan is to go to Cali, visit the master's seminary to see where my husband was all that time as well as meet that man and thank him for being faithful and bold to help a young man in need of counsel. I kept away because it was terrible for both of us to be together. I really thought it was over and that I had to get over him.I didn't want to be around if he ended up with someone else and watch heartbroken from the sidelines.We needed that time apart to heal.
Very inspiring! I'm truly blessed to hear your love story. It does give me hope to wait. Waiting is the hardest but when I watched this video, I was like saying, "Lord I'm really foolish! I'm sorry! I'm like dying of the feeling of being wanted to be loved when in fact You're always there to love me unconditionally. Help me to remember that." I've experienced being brokenhearted thrice...and all were christian men. It's just like my hope of finding true love was gone. My self-esteem's very low at the moment honestly and it was like I've lost my self confidence. I'm really strugglin, but now I realized that I need to focus on Him alone and set aside that feeling of being unwanted because God is not glorified with it. Thankful for you Alana! I wished I watched it long ago, but no worries because "all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" Rom 8:28. I hope that you are still growing in the Lord Jesus and I pray that you continue by His grace in Jesus name Amen. And also I just wanted to introduce you to this man of God Pastor Paul Rika. I gave my life to Christ couple of yrs ago and yrs later I met this pastor, I listened to a lot his messages here on RU-vid and my spiritual life became even more purified and refined. Thank you. :) :) I actually didn't meet my father until a few months after I was married. He and my mother were divorced when I was very young and he was not around at all while I was growing up. My mom became a believer a few years after I did and felt confident in my relationship with my husband and so, yes, she was very supportive with the short engagement. :)

I still don't have a ring and it's been over a year. You don't need a ring to know a man loves you. Marriage is a huge commitment and for a man to ask you to marry him should be enough to tell that he loves you =)
Sara Vanderwind marriage is a gift from God for men and women alike. when a man loves a woman he marries her takes care of is concerned for her daily her prays for her and is there for in the hard times. he would give his life for her. actions are where a mans heart is.

Thanks for sharing your story, I have a somewhat similar but dissimilar story, however I didn't end up getting married (this was a year and a bit ago). But God has just grown me so much and healed me, and allowed me by grace to forgive and let go. And actually I am in the midst of planning a reconciliation and I pray God will allow us to make peace, because we are going to the same heaven, and I just want to get right before God. I also like J. Mac. But I also love, Francis Chan among many.

you don't need to wait....he tells you in his word. I know you cannot imagine making such a hard choice, but no waiting is necessary. the word is there. i say this in love love love, and concern more than anything. I have been married 8 years, it is WORK. And not worshiping the same God changes everything. You will go into marriage with completely different views of what marriage is. If you are fearful of what is next in your life if you actually broke it off? DONT WORRY God's got you. ;)

Thanks for the encouraging words... unlike your husband my fiancé is not a Christian.. I know its a hard path to take but im not giving up until God says to :].. I'm doing my part and sharing how Christ has done so much for me. He keeps telling me he's not happy with himself yet I keep telling him. do something about it then.. I'm not responsible for the change, Christ is. I did my part to witness. I just pray that He finds God before its too late as that goes to many people in the world.
