I am 62 and when i was in my 20's i joined the OES and when i found out the truth i denounced them as well. I thank God i have been free for over 30 plus years.
I thank God for that ahaa moment early in my Sophomore year… like how are you gonna treat me like a dog for weeks, charge me $$ for the privilege and then overnight (we “crossover”) and suddenly we’re “Sisters”? Absolutely Not!!!!
Wow! Such a wonderful testimony. Praise God for your obedience. I pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc in Spr. 2002 on Apr. 5th. On last year, January 24th, 2022 God delivered me from the sorority. I denounced everything on that day. God revealed so much to me about the rituals, oaths and covenants that I took. I just wept by my bed. I thank God he delivered me. I had been in the sorority for 19 years. I renounced my membership on May 24, 2022. I just received my withdrawal letter from Nationals on May 29, 2023. I am so grateful that God delivered me and kept me for this time. God is delivering his children out these organizations, so we can be a light for others. Continue to allow God to use you. You will bless and deliver others by your obedience. 🤗🙏🏾🙏🏾

My community has too many senior citizen sorority mean girls ( and their male counterparts) who cannot function unless they conduct themselves as if they are pledging as twenty year olds. And it shows! Especially since the behavior goes on for decades/generations. What good is "service" in the community if it includes, slander, division, public humiliation of those OUTSIDE of the group.The literal buck dancing on college campuses nationwide SHOULD offer some valuable clues. Instead, ancestors are being mocked for entertainment and recruitment, All while wearing toddler like regalia with gigantic "Greek" letters... Definitely can concur with you. The Lord led me out of AKA 26 years ago (1996) and it was around my 10 year line anniversary. There was no social media back then but I give God praise that HIS WORD remains the same yesterday, today and forevermore. So glad you were obedient. My SIL is AKA since the 80's. She is also Christian but she still has that very prideful, I am better than you, EVERYTHING is a competition mindset. She is exhausting but I love her, and pray she will also one day see the light.
Sororities never entered my mind. I'm good with my own friends that never required bad treatment in order to be my friend. I overheard abuse of a line sister (?) in a dorm in Savannah. I also noticed some women in Sororities are very bitter. They are close to each other but bitter against each other when they're out of their presence PROBABLY because they remember being tortured to get in then have to act like they just love their torturers each so much. I think that mess spills over into work and church. If they lead anything, some may treat you like crap before they consider promoting you the job or before totally accepting you in a ministry group at church. They use the same tactics of 'if you let me treat you like dirt, I'll include you and move you up'...instead of going by promotion standards on a job or going by what God leads at church. I don't know about the demonic or anything but I've seen the anger and bitterness.
I have watched many videos about people denouncing sororities/fraternities. I actually officially denounced Delta Sigma Theta in 2018. It was something so sweet and pure about this video that allowed me to pray for the ladies whom I pledged with that are still in the sorority and no longer talk with me. Thank you for reminding me what the LORD delivered me from and to pray for those still blinded. God bless you Sister for being obedient..
I can so relate with you on this!!!!! I was trying so hard to get into delta and even had a sor at work that wanted me to join asap, but GOD NEVER let it happen and I thank GOD because the Holy Spirit just kept preventing me from joining now I understand and can discern and that the prevention was coming from GOD from stopping me from getting into something Unholy!!, Hallelujah!.
Didn't pledge but come from a long line of greeks..I attended an HBCU what i disliked most was the division greek organizations caused( I'm sure unintentionally) among the student body..I also witnessed how some (not all) people changed once they crossed. These and other videos confirmed why God took the desire out of my heart..God bless you for your obedience..
Everything you spoke about identity and voids is the truth! I never joined AKA but let me explain my experience on how I later realized that it was God who was not allowing me to join. After getting out of the military and graduating college, I wanted to join. I looked up grad chapters all around my area. Even followed a few of them on social media so that I could keep up with them and go to some of their events. I finally found a chapter that was very active in the community and I’m thinking great, now I can finally start forming connections with some of these women! Well, each time I went it just like I could not connect with anyone. None of the women were ever friendly or inviting. Tried other avenues, like at least 5 or 6 times before I gave it up because I just kept hitting a brick wall. So much to the point, my spirit was a little disturbed each time I tried to pursue the organization. So I finally I just asked God “What is it?! Like why is it so hard for me to join this organization. I want to join for all of the right reasons.. sisterhood, serving my community, etc. but you just flat out keep saying NO to whichever way I turn.” Then one day I was on RU-vid and one of these denouncing videos just randomly popped up in my suggestion. I never knew anything about denouncing or that it was such a thing. Mind you, I had made peace with it because all throughout my life God has always shown me favor, so I came to the conclusion it just wasn’t in His will for me. But while watching the video, I just started shedding tears and expressing extreme gratitude. I could hear the Lord saying, “THIS is what I was saving you from. The covenants, false gods, idolatry, and darkness. A world leading to destruction.” You are absolutely right about the curses for generations based off our own actions because I have family and a few associates who are in these organizations and when I tell you they are CATCHING it. I’m talking death of siblings, infidelity in marriages, preterm labor, financial hardships. Every time I hear something about one of them, my mind automatically comes back to this. I’m so glad you are FREE. Whom the son sets free, is truly free indeed! ✨
Good for you. To tell you the truth, it's rare that I meet an AKA that I like. My spirit immediately rejects the arrogance that I encounter from AKAs. I'm sure you are better off without being associated with that organization.

Spirit of the lord never allowed me to pledge back in the look late 80's-90's. I didn't have the knowledge I have now, but knew something wasn't right.
Me either, I was being scouted by the Zeta's in college, I wouldn't go to the meetings, I had to work after class.... I was never interested in pledging.
Wow, this is sad! I am a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I'm a Christian and a Silver Soror of AKA, meaning 25+ years. I just celebrated 30 yrs with my Sands. I am not active in any grad chapter, but I love my line sisters and I had a wonderful college experience when I pledged in the spring of 1993. I laugh now about the mind games and antics we went through pledging. I don't know what is going on with your generation or the chapter you were affiliated with, but my Sands and I are tight and have been from the start. Jesus was always in the midst of my undergrad chapter, not that any of us were perfect, but we were grounded in the Word. We are all Christian mothers, wives, and professionals. I was, in fact, the undergrad Chaplain for a term. You can have affliations in the world and still be set apart as God's chosen. God didn't give us His light for us to hide it. We should always let it shine in whatever pathway we are on so others may see us and ask, "What must I do to be saved?" Jesus after all said he came for the lost. We shouldn't run from darkness but instead walk upright and shine our light. 🙏🏾
This is straight facts… I honestly don’t understand these denouncing videos… if you don’t want to be apart of a frat or sorority anymore just walk away from it… you don’t have to announce it.. However you put you take what you take out of everything… I’ve never been across anything demonic nor do I worship anything outside of my God Jesus Christ… I dont think being apart of a frat means I dont believe in God or worship anything other than my religion

I've never had any interest in sororities. I never understood how everyone could just automatically become friends...that's odd to me. Also, it all seemed superficial and surface-only connections. Not for me...I find my own sisterhoods based on the energy I feel and who God places in my life.

After my friend joined the AKA, she began behaving shady to me. Her AKA friends would ask me if I was black, why don't I drive a better vehicle, I need to change because they don't associate themselves with just anyone! My friend met them 6 years ago. We were friends from 2003 until January 2022, when I ended the friendship. I feel they've been controlling her and getting her to lie to me and exclude me from things that we always did with friends. But whatever her situation, I wish her all the best and I hope she realizes these people have a cult mentality.

There are so many now Denouncing Sororities. I never been in one, and do not see what’s bad about them. I’m Christian also. Most of us want relationship with other human beings. That’s not of the devil, being a lone ranger is more of the devil than anything. Wow! I didn’t know some of the women are cruel like this. Sometimes in Christianity, some women are the same way. No lie, or judgement it is the God’s Honest Truth
What's bad is the covenant and oath that you have with the gods and founders that they worship and bow down to instead of GOD. They perform demonic rituals during initiation and during funerals once their "sister" or "brother" die.
I had a cousin who was raised a Christian but joined a sorority. In the process of joining them, she almost went crazy. She eventually left the sorority because she realized it was demonic. She became very successful and wealthy in life, but she ended up dying young from an illness. We felt that her early demised is connected to the pledge she took. There is a curse that comes with pledging in sorority and fraternity; if you were a Christian who should have known better the consequence can be severe. Realize that God can show mercy and grace, but for some the wages of sin is death. People should not take this lightly.

I have discovered that most people who follow greek letters have one or more of these identifiers: ::either come from greek legacy ::mentor or teacher who is greek ::doesn't have a mature relationship with God ::are the oldest child ::are the only child ::have a need to belong Once you grow, especially when you discover that the promises of sister/brotherhood are not present unless you belong to also X organization or live in X community etc. But the greatest growth I have seen from denouncers are those who matured in Christ. I have not met a person who carries the greek flag and carries the cross for Christ.
I was never tempted to join because i grew up knowing that these organizations are not of God. I would always find iy comical when two girls who couldn't stand each other on campus suddenly showed up as besties in their matching jackets. Glad the Lord delivered you form that bondage!

I pledged and crossed over. Had a bad experience on line. The only reason I stayed on line is because they needed by GPA to remain active. So, I crossed but I was never active and that was over 40 years ago. Tried to join a graduate chapter but the women were so uppity. My first meeting everybody’s nose was in the air and their faces looked like someone farted. I left that meeting and was never involved with them again. It’s unfortunate because these organizations can really do a lot of good in society.
It's so sad you had this experience, but I certainly understand. The grad chapter I was affiliated with spent more time bickering in the name of 'sisterhood' that it was sickening. I was affiliated with my organization for over 40 years and it wasn't until after the Holy Spirit had me do a deep study on oaths and vows. I wept, repented and sent a message to my former line sisters. After two years, I have now sent my renouncement letter, and completed the process. Hallelujah!!! The last thing the Lord has me doing is going through deliverance next month. I feel so free and I am eternally grateful!
Wheww...a whole lesson. My sisters are AKA's and no one will ever know it. I attended an AKA meeting in college and they were talking about a girl who got kicked in the face by a "big SISTER". Sooo you have to hurt someone into submission? It was an instant No for me. I have real sisters and never have I gotten hit by either. The black community and these frats/sororities are too desperate for validation. Thirdly, if a "celebrity" can get an honorary membership, what's so special? Bragging rights? Many non celebrity people do far greater things but never are considered. I was asked to join grad chapter once a few of these fickle people saw how I live. I was not impressed by being considered especially since all that was seen was outside tangible things. They knew NOTHING about me...just my title, cars, and home. Again, not impressed and I declined.
Girl-this is so sad. it is not AKA's fault that you were thirsty and adrift. You claim to be filled now. i am happy for that. i don't believe it. But we all know self knowledge is a journey. I wish you peace for the rest of yours.
Any group that requires you to go through humiliation is a group that you do not need to be a part off. Jesus suffered shame so that his children would not have to. I wanted to join zeta so bad. But getting beat, taking all my money, and humiliating me to be called a sister was out for me. Plus, I was friends with Sigmas who told me not to do it. The girls were crazy.

I appreciate this video. I was thinking of pledging Delta, raised Christian but was very interested in Delta at a young age and although high school. Was looking to join but unfortunately, I never attended university after high school. I am now as an adult and now have the opportunity. I was on the fence and had been doing research about the sorority and the correlation of Christianity. This video helped and brought me back to my roots, understanding the hand and will of God in my life. Although my intentions are pure I understand that my goals don’t need to be pursed within the attachment of the sorority. Thank you!

Overly religious people should not be allowed to join Greek letter organizations. That would solve all of this. So many denouncing videos on the RU-vid. The organization should screen people for this. It would solve alot of problems. 👍🏾
Good afternoon my dear sister. I'm probably the only man who may comment on your video, but it's okay. I'm going to anyway. Back when I was in college, I had a strong desire to become a part of a fraternity. My first choice was Omega Psi Phi, but if I couldn't get in that one, I was going to see about linking up with Kappa, which looking back now I feel may have been better suited for. However, years after I graduated from college, I began to hear bits and pieces of information about not only Omega and Kappa, but fraternities and sororities in general, and it started making me question my desire to join. Now I figured since I'd graduated years earlier, that I'd pretty much aged out of them. But as time went on, I eventually found out about how cruel and scary they are, including the pledging process. So I'm definitely glad that I didn't join.🙂

Greek life is extremely ritualistic it’s based on Greek Mythology. Greek life had its appeal but it really is a covenant and that relationship is just too weird.

Yeah I don’t get that either. If you want to leave then leave. I randomly come across these public announcement videos. It’s like who cares just leave. I don’t see public announcements of people leaving one church for another something again I wouldn’t care about.
I don't think it's about the process regarding any of these denouncement videos, although, I'm sure it was probably horrible in a lot of cases, but more so about the deception of getting into a covenant of demonic origin on their own free will. Now if you don't care about your soul, then it may not appeal to you, but if you care about your relationship with God and the eternal consequence of your soul, then you'd probably want to take heed.
I'm not going to name my sorority but we had rituals. You wore certain attire you had candles burning and you pledged your heart and your soul to the Greek god associated with the org. Oh it's real. And you have to denounce or continue to follow those are your two options. I denounced because Jesus is my Lord. I will have no other gods in my life. And to each his own
She sat up their and benefited off AKA probably got jobs, promotions, travel experience and FAVORITISM from being an AKA she had all that HELP now she can’t pay the dues she’s out! I can’t stand entitled privileged ungrateful people like this!
