Well at least this time I didn't totally fry the PolyFiber Paper!!! Let me know what you think about all the different textures on the canvas - did I stick the landing or was it a fail?

10 on the landing! 😍👏 Love all the different textures. I started my first piece with modeling paste couple days ago. It's dry. Hoping to start with paint portion of the process tomorrow.

Best of luck Julie, have fun! For me when I'm ready once it dry and ready for paint I do a dirty water wash over the texture .... I don't know it what gets me over the hump of just starting 😉

@@TiffanyRemijn Thanks for that tip! I'm one of those, scared to try something New people. It looks pretty, but SUPER SIMPLE as is. It's a tribute for two of my cats that I lost just 3 weeks apart. Those little fur boys were a part of my very soul! Just want to make them something Beautiful! Guess if I screw it up, no biggie. I have more canvases, modeling paste & paints. I can Always start over. The other day Nate Bright said...don't remember his Exact words, but basically, Fear kills Creativity. He is Sooo Right! I have always had terrible fear of failing. I'm working on that! Thanks for being a fearless inspiration 💕💕

I know the feeling of losing fur babies, I'm so sorry that's rough. If you really sit amd think about it, it's really odd the connection we have with our furry family. What I wouldn't do for my dog .... in fact we bought a holiday home in France recently (sounds more elegant than it is) and we get excited to take him because ita a very rural village with lots of surrounding nature where he can run off leash and be a dog and I just love watching him explore, roll in the grass, chew a stick in the sunshine. Nate's right and always remember focus more on the journey .... not the destination 😉 we all have a destination in mind, but if the journey takes you down a different path .... go, explore ... you never know what you might discover 🤩

I love the deep crevices too, especially when you brush a contrasting colour over the peeks, I don't know any other material that would create such a cool look .... so naturally. 😍

How ever you are doing it, just keep doing it. "It" doesn't have to have a label on it, or be planned out. Just do it, go with the flow and if you just do that it will always be spectacular. If it's not, that just means you aren't finished yet! At least that's my motto 😊

I'm still here, I went on vacation and came back to heat wave. I live in Europe and airco is not a thing ... so needless to say, painting when it's 32 outside is not enjoyable. As soon as the temperature breaks, I promise more ramblings!
