Whether a family recognizes it or not, your birth and choices are your responsibility while being intertwined with a destiny that only god gets to know. No midwife can guarantee an outcome, but in an instance of something becoming unsafe you want to be able to look up and see someone you trust to navigate and carry the load with you. I love that you're able to identify that level of responsibility as your own(which is powerful) while also being like, yea I'd love the camaraderie and reflection a midwife can bring me if I need it.

Ya it’s funny cuz my tummy starts the day small…and when the bump is small I keep my shirt down…but as it grows throughout the day it comes out😭🙏🏻 also I’m sorry you suffered with HG as well! It’s a painful, wild ride 😬😭🙏🏻

Ah! Thank you for sharing about your HG experience. I had it with my first pregnancy (however it did definitely ease up towards the third trimester) and then I got pregnant with my second quite unexpectedly. I was terrified to be pregnant again and have to go through that all again. By God’s grace, I didn’t end up with HG again and just had “regular” morning sickness. I could not believe that that’s how most women experience pregnancy. I’m 21 weeks, so a little behind you. So excited for another blessing. Hoping you continue to feel better❤️
Thanks for sharing this! I’m pregnant with my first right now and have HG but I’m already scared for future pregnancies just cause this one has been so hard. Awesome to hear a story where that wasn’t the case!

So glad to see you doing better :) The food looked great (and you and the family in the background too of course ^_^), lol I do the same with adding water to get all the passata out, also it's good as it needs some water since the veggies etc. it cooks better that way too, as long as not too diluted, I also like adding honey and vinegar too, I do it to so many tomato sauce dishes. This sounds totally right…I should’ve mentioned in the video that we had a bit of a snaffoo…our oven broke and it was a legit snow storm…I was freaking out about timing with my moms oven, my sickness, the proofing LOL it was wild! Anyways, thanks for the tips! I look forward to trying again!!!💁🏻♀️🙏🏻 ALSO Dan actually got given a free oven someone was giving away a few days later so now we have a new oven! 😭 It’s older but it works perfectly and the “aesthetic” actually fits our kitchen better! 😭I’ll show you guys soon!🤗

I have a traditional out of system midwife( no medical procedures). It'll be my first homebirth( and a vbac) after 3 c sections.
Oh god I felt you when you said you miss enjoying food! My nausea is slowly going, but smells and tastes are still causing issues especially with food 😩 I can’t wait to enjoy eating again!

I love that you and your midwife are using the fetoscope to hear the sweet baby’s heartbeat. Most people use the Doppler and there are just so many risks to that device. People don’t realize it’s an ultrasound machine! I’m pregnant too, a few months behind you, and I’ve asked my midwife to only use the fetoscope. She said 97% of her clients just accept the Doppler which is sad to me. Yay for safe fetoscopes! My midwife did tell me she has to use the Doppler during labor to make sure baby’s heartbeat is ok, and that the fetoscope is too hard to use during that time. May I ask if your midwife has specified anything similar to you? Sending love friend!
She hasnt specified anything yet but I’m not necessarily against using the Doppler at birth…? Idk…we will see! That being said, I’ll ask her! Also thank you!🙏🏻🫶🏻

It seems to me that some people have learned to behave in a more balanced way. Think about it, consuming content from the Internet in an endless amount is not healthy at all! I'm actually glad that Nikki doesn't upload a lot of content, it's the quality and not the quantity. RU-vid has changed to promote live streaming and current events, rather than just genuinely good content and creators have shifted towards memberships and digital products rather than RU-vid ad sense, meaning they can post less and are not as affected by RU-vid fickle ad rules. So yeah, there's a lot more junk and less fun content than there used to be. But given Nikki's situation specifically, we should be happy if she posts anything at all
