My Thoughts on Duolingo | Using Duolingo for Italian 🇮🇹 

I am Dutch and learning Italian through English using Duolingo. So it takes one foreign language to learn another one. I am almost seventy and can say that I am not doing bad at all.

Important to remember that the sentence is that they are giving are not sentences necessarily that you would repeat, but to see different words in a variety of contexts.

In French and Spanish languages they also have separate section - Audio Lessons, when you need to repeat some sentences. Then you have to answer the questions. But they don't have it in Italian yet. This is a great app for beginners, not for intermediate 👍

I use Duolingo more as a review than for learning new things in French, though I do learn some new things. It makes sure I do it regularly or on a daily basis. I also try to do other things to practice my French.

I've been using Duolingo since November of 2022, I'm learning Italian, and I still have lots to learn. It's not that easy but I'm still learning.

I appreciate your review 🙌🏾! I saw that Duolingo tracks your time and progress at the end of the year. And that makes me want to try it next year so I can see a visual of how much learning I did in 2023!

Thank you today I started duolingo and started Italian and completed 1st two chapters...

Once you get into the lessons they often capitalize multiple words or just leave everything lowercase, which is nice!

About the sentence with the word running- it could be used in an essay discussing habitual actions that humans do or forms of exercise

i completed italian on duolingo this year....loved it....it took me 247 days straight

I started using this recently and I’ve quite liked it. Would not rely on this only.

I love Doulingo for the way it's so interactive and easy but for a beginner doing the same thing every day can get tiring. I do wish there were days for breaks because wowww.....or am I not competitive or a goal chaser enough🙂

I used to use this app for one year and then I stopped using that, I honestly don't know why but it was useful to me when I started learning English. It is a great app. So many thanks for sharing and making this video.

Grazie per questo video! As you can see. I'm terrible at speaking Italian. I'm an American and am using Duolingo to learn Italian... cuz why the hell not? But literally, If I tried to do a conversation with an italian, I would not understand what they were saying. Like, I'm terrible. It's probs bc it's only been 5 days since I've started but I really wanna become fluent.

I loved learning from doulingo. Although this is something extra you can do in addition to lessons etc

I have learnt a lot on Duolingo learning Italian. I recently got Plus though. I had a group of friends that we all chipped in for the family plan so it was about €25 each which was worth it. I found the free version annoying because I kept running out of hearts when I was on a run. Even though they have silly phrases you still learn some good grammar. I’m also trying to learn some French on the side and that’s going ok too. I’ll recommend it.

I think the death and mystery probably coincides with a book they would have made you read in the app. Like a murder mystery.

Unconventional sentences help you learn and recognize the words much quicker including meaning.

Personally I was always told these apps are a great extra study tool but shouldn't be your only method of learning

I used to use that app for one year to learn German and English but then I stopped because my English grew so good that the app couldn't teach me anything new and my German simply wasn't really good and I lost my motivation so I don't use the app anymore. (Besides some whiles when I open it and do a lesson or two but that all)

I use Duolingo for English and German.

Weird sentences are good idea because people tend to memorize weird stuff.

I started dating a girl from Italy & really wanted to learn her language with how well she knows English, just as a way to challenge myself & communicate with other people when I visit her hometown. 70+ days in & I gotta say, it’s been great to learn so many words & phrases. 10/10 for a beginner. Definitely helps to have a native speaker to practice with

They are testing your italian that s why the sentences are not common. But if you know italian , you d understand them

Just a note: Stamattina = this morning, not "tomorrow morning" as you said. Dunno if it just slip by or you were truly mistaken. You can look at it as "questa - mattina" = "this - morning". Also, that's the way that adverb it's derived from the original latin "ista mane". In some regions as Tuscany is more common the hera "stamane" or "stamani" which mean the same thing but are more of an archaic version Keep up the good work. :)
