I feel like you're too focused on just placements. The reason for some placements is because of their losses. For example, I was also surprised with Tea's rank but then if you look at his losses, his worst loss is TamaPDaifuku who is top 100, while both Zomba and Dabuz have a couple unranked losses. Thats's why the player cards lumirank made doesn't show the full picture of their year. There is a twitter thread that someone made to show each player ranked their losses.
I totally see where you’re coming from! I had just seen that tea lost to a player named AI HOSHINO that I didn’t really know at crown the 3rd but again I totally see what you mean :)
Spargo has winning records on all of the top 5 while Miyas best record was 1-0 against glutonny in the top 5 and 4-5 vs acola. Miya didn’t have a cola’s consistency and lost to more people outside of the top 20 and 100. Spargo’s major wins were more valuable as well which is why he’s 2nd Also Miya is not that much more consistent than spargo with a 49th and13th vs a 49th 13th 17th and a 9th place
So do you think they value win records more than placements, because I feel like Spargo had lower Lows then Mia who never got 49th, but maybe I’m just not aware of what they prioritize
@@Thesmashconnoisseur no because if we go by that then zomba should be higher which I feel 50/50 on. The top 4 players records against each other had mattered a lot when it came to their rankings
8:04 13th...while getting wins on Glutonny and Maister and losing to Miya and Hurt. That's not a bad 13th at all. 10:05 Shuton's results in Japan were arguably worse on average. He has a 25th at a random regional, for example. This whole thing feels like it was made by a mad Zomba fan.
