Bane created it to make sure sith weren't weak. If the master dies to the apprentice, it's because he was weak. If the apprentice dies to the master, it's because he was weak. Although, it is a highly flawed rule. And if someone wants to know how, it's flawed because it implies someone being stronger than you makes you weak. It's also what keeps the sith numbers so low. I'd take hundreds of sith over 2 powerful sith anyday.
@@Dark-xv3gd it is also to make sure every generation, the sith becomes stronger, since once they learned everything from their master, they'll kill them and become the new master. This passing of knowledge, technique and everything else is what made Sidious so powerful, he was the last Sith master (although Vader was more powerful). This is also why he says to Rey he is "All sith" in Rise of Skywalker, which is the only cool part of the final scene, because he knows all secrets znd has all the knowledge of previous Sith. However, another big flaw is that the apprentice could kill his master before having learned everything. For exemple, Vader intended to kill Sidious right after Mustafar, since he was already stronger than Sidious during those days between Windu's death and his defeat to Kenobi, and a lot of Sith knowledge wouldve been lost right there.
@@Dark-xv3gd yes this is partly true but as you see with Palpatine and other sith under the rule of two they have the potential to become way more powerful as the Dark Side of the Force focuses on these two sith making them stronger as well as making the Dark Side stronger when a sith dies
Finally someone that calls Count Dooku “Darth Tyranus” For the people in the replies that don’t get what I mean: All I’m saying is that I’m glad someone is calling count Dooku Darth Tyranus
@@CT-7567_Captain_Rex i know but technically he was one anyway since he joined the sith order but he only considered himself as a man wanting to change the world in a manner the jedi were unwilling to

You support dooku I support you darth tyranus is a holy relic we must remember in history and so was his actor Christopher lee one of the biggest Ws in history
1st - Maul 2nd - Revan 3rd - Vader 4th - Malgus 5th - Nihilus 6th - Sideous 7th - Talon 8th - Bane 9th - Plagueis 10th - Tyrannus Reasoning: Maul is my #1 simply because he's a fucking BOSS, and takes shit from nobody. Okay but seriously, he has one of the sickest looks out of any sith and, oh my, just that awesome lightsaber. I am aware that he isn't the strongest by any means, but this guy carries practically every scene he appears in. He's also one of the more unique and iconic sith, which is what I like most. I hope we get to see more of him in live action because that would be great. Tyrannus is my least because honestly he's a coward and runs away just about as much as Grevious. I don't see anything too good about him and the only reason he lived as long as he did is because of how much he spams force moves and runs like a coward. He is also most likely the weakest on this entire list but it isn't based on power. I am aware that a lot of people like him, but personally, I don't see him as anything more as Maul's replacement and Vader's placeholder.
My top 10 sith 10. Count Dooku (was nice, but would be ranked higher if we had more history on him shown rather than told) 9. Talon 8. Savage (technically was a sith assassin for Dooku) 7. Bane 6. Malgus 5. Plageus 4. Maul 3. Sideous 2. Vader 1. Starkiller (because he was Vader's apprentice, he was a sith, but turned into Jedi)
