Correction: I know that Stepney and Boxhill are the same exact class of locomotive, but I what REALLY meant to say was, we don't have to have ALL of the Railway Series only characters into the show. If Thomas & the Great Railway Show were adapted to television, then maybe they can reuse Stepney's, Duchess', and Stephen's model for it in order to cut costs. But that's just my personal opinion. I'll be totally fine if anyone says otherwise. Thanks for the criticism btw and I'm sorry for the misunderstanding earlier!
I want Agnes Ruth Lucy Jemima and Beatrice in the TV series however I don't want the younger audiences to get Beatrice confused with cora so I'm going to paint her red I'm also going to paint Agnes Ruth Lucy Jemima and Beatrice red too as well as draw their names on and Ada Jane and Mabel how about some people put the numbers on their backsides I mean I'm not trying to be childish but at the same time I don't want to get the younger audiences confused I know that might seem childish but you don't want to get the younger audiences confused now do you
If bear ever gets televised he should keep his original livery because green would make him look too similar to Daisy and Boco Donald and Douglas were painted blue in The railway series but kept their original color in the television series and when Peter Sam and Sir handel were called Stuart and falcon they were painted red and blue to match skarloey and Rheneas but kept their original colors in the television series if they ever adapt super rescue for television if bear was ever in the TV series do you think he should stay blue
I also discovered some railway series characters such as Wilbert, Jock, 16, Frank, Culdee, Big City Engine, and Mallard. I’d love to see those engines appear in the televisions series whether it’d the CGI series for specials, or better yet, the model series.
Bear and d199 were supposed to come back into CGI in either "Journey Beyond Sodor" or the great race- i think it was "JBS" BUT THEY SAID NAH AND CHANGED IT-
No Splatter and Dodge were planned to be in The Great Race but from what I know, neither Bear or D199 were planned to appear/reappear ever in the TV series (after they didn't have the budget to adapt Super Rescue for season 3)
10. I don't really remember this one, because I've never red any of his stories. So I'll have to read them. 9. Peel Godred engines Hey? I'd quite like to see them televised. 8. Now I WOULD like to see these ones televised! Especially all of them. 7. Yes, I can just picture these ones returning! 6. He will appear in my rewritten series and I would personally name him Jason after Jason Michas. 5. These characters are pretty interesting and I would hope they would have appeared. 4. Now isn't he a most popular character? And I would have wished he was televised. 3. They're really good characters and I hoped they were televised. 2. I'm honestly gonna agree because in SLOTLT would have been a great opportunity to return more characters. 1. I, am, gonna agree with you BIG TIME! Because Culdee is my favourite RWS character of all times! So, my top 15 characters I would have like to have seen televised are: 15. Duchess of Hamilton 14. Stanley/No. 13 13. Wilbert & Sixteen 12. Green Arrow 11. Mallard 10. Angus 9. Jock 8. Frank 7. Sodor Railway Repair 6. Fred Pelhay 5. Rajinda 4. Abiar 3. Coran 2. Bear 1. All of the Culdee fell engines So, for a future video I think you could do top 10 characters who should return and who would voice them.
Sixteen should’ve been televised in Journey Beyond Sodor. He works at a steelworks on the mainland so it would make sense. He could’ve helped Thomas and James escaped.
Here is the thing about godred: he WAS in pieces when he was brought back from the mountain. And I think the reason he was never repaired was because the accident happened in 1900.
god mattel had the perfect opportunity to introduce these characters and their episodes, but they flushed that opportunity down the toilet. postscript: good video :)
there were also plans to adapt super rescue for season 3, but it never came true, because the models for diesel d199 (a.k.a spamcam) and bear were too dificalt to model, since the crew workers did'nt had a huge budget
Don't worry, I've already cancelled my Top 10 Characters I'd like to see return as well as my Top 10 Characters I'd like to see in Wooden Railway form.
To be fair, the Classic era and most of the HIT era relied on physical models, which came with limitations. One such limitation was the size of the models since the smaller the model, the more difficult it is to work with, as was the case with the first narrow gauge models. Also, due to having a smaller budget, Britt Allcroft and her team were often restricted in terms of which locations they could recreate and which characters they could televise. As such, it's understandable for some details to be omitted, especially during the first 4 seasons.
What about Culdee's old friends Ernest and Wilfred? Should they deserve to be televised too? I know that they are minor characters in "Mountain Engines", but whilst Wilfred gets illustrated three times in the book, we only see Ernest's cab, number and part of his nameplate in one illustration.
Speaking of the Godred's faith, it was based of the same event that happened at the Snowdon railway (which is what the Culdee Fell railway was based off of) of which Ladas (the railway's number 1) fell off the rails and crashed into the ground. So basically Godred was brought back to their shed, it's just that Awdry nor Culdee never mentioned that he was brought back in pieces (yeah it's more dark if you consider this fact) but yeah, I would love to see the Culdee Fell engines make an appearance, heck they were actually mentioned in the TV series at time, just only at the Island of Sodor 's maps, so they do actually exist at least, but would like to see them in action, and I would like to see Godred as well, srill being arrogant, but after what happened with him, is more careful, and a little more friendly to his colleagues
Isn't Reginald Basically Patriot? I like the name Euston, named after the station. I'd also LOVE Wilbert and Sixteen, the Famous engines, D7101 and D199, Jock and Frank, Ada, Jane, Mabel and Cora (the others too, I'd like to see all of them interact),Neil... heck, they should all just get added right now!!
Due to my series being a hybrid of the 3 LOVED timelines, every characters from those timelines would appear in my series. Yes it includes the bad characters, but I can find way to make them good ones.
cool umm rember that sharron miller video you posted anyway i like the sharron miller era bc just the cgi background that it has and some of the themes anyway cool video umm yea all i have to say
No Welsh locomotives was a bit of a shortcoming for the series, considering their dynamic history with the GWR. Duck: There's two ways of doing things, the Great Western way, or the wrong way- Taff Vale 28: DON'T dare lecture ME on the GWR, YOU got my brothers and sisters all scrapped!! The big engines snickered to each other as Duck for the first time went red in the face.
I agree with mountain engines, Jock, Frank, Wilbert, 16, Mallard, Green Arrow, Bear, Neil, Algy, and Angus and my others are Spamcan, Duchess of Hamilton, Albert, Victoria, Ivo Hugh, Fred, Jinty, Pug, Tallylin, Dolgoch, Sidney, Flying Thistle, Dustin, Gold Engine
I'd love seeing the mid-sodor engines from the rws they never appeared in any media well except stanley but stanley appeared in one story , i don't count bulldog since its the illustrator who made the mistake
I would have liked to have seen the Mountain engines in series 4 but the models would have been too expensive to make! I can picture the kids in Shining Time Station being shocked after Mr. Conductor tells the story of Godred!
10. The railway museum 9. Jinty and Pog 8. Big city engine 7. Peel Godred electric engine 6. Culdee fell 5. Sixteen 4. The elderly breakvan 3. Wilbert 2. Niel 1. D199 and d1701
If any Thomas characters that should be in the show (in my opinion, including ones that were part of the wooden railway era with two that were never a wooden train) it would probably be frank, jock (never became a wooden train), Neil, ballast spreader (Sodor railway repair), Catherine and Culdee, probably rickety and Fred (even though they’re just other troublesome trucks), Wilbert, Ivo Hugh, ada Jane and Mabel, diesel 199, bear (never became a wooden train) and big city engine. I don’t know what stories would have those guys, but that’s because of the fan series that I’ve watched called Thomas the tank engine and friends wooden railway adventures (the RU-vid channel is called Thomas wooden railway (with no spaces)) which had those characters in it, also with the one episode characters and three Sodor story collection ones too named Logan Sam and Dustin.
I would want: 1) All the CFR crew 2) Bear/D199 3) Ivo Hugh 4) Wilbert/Sixteen (and he becomes that new tank engines mentioned) 5) Albert, Helena and Victoria 6) Jock and Frank 7) Neil 8) Big City Engine 9) Old Stuck Up 10) Pip and Emma 11) Jinty and Pug
Phillippa & Emma should also be televised. Twin diesel locomotive express engines between the UK and Island of Sodor. Also referencing the episode called "a close shave for Duck", a city engine was to have the spot of James when pulling the coaches out of the station when Duck went to the siding of collision into the barber shop, too. Another one could have been advertise was the Marklin engine with a face.
I literally have to agree with you I mean I was 10 years old back then when I saw those three episodes of season 20 Tit for Tat Mike's whistle and of course useful Railway those stories are very interesting and I had no idea that they're based on the Railway Series until now unlike today so I think it's a good idea
Danger points doubles back and bad lookout on my favorite railway series chapters Cuz devil's back his super nice he's and really yeah plus am I going to name him at the station saying I won't have it goes to it's too it's called devil's back I mean I bet when Patrick first hit the name of devil's back he thought it was going to eat up his passages that hell and back
Many of these characters I do agree with. I would've been great to have actually seen the eclectic version of the Peel Godred Line and its engines. Having Thomas visit the National Railway Museum and see the engines would've made for an exciting story arc. The Big City Engine (Randolph in my fandom) would've made for an excellent rival for Gordon. Wilbert would've been a great example of a preserved visiting engine on the island (not counting Flying Scotsman in the model series) with 16 (Glenn) being a great new addition to one of the branches on Sodor. While just Neil would've been fine, I'd like it even more if all three Sodor & Mainland engines (Clive, Neil, & Matthew) were there, plus the Wellsworth & Suddery engines (Colin, Lily, & Adam). Bear would be at the top of my list as Super Rescue is my favorite non-television adapted Railway Series story, and him being a kind example of diesels. I also would've liked seeing all of the Arlesdale Engines together when they finally hit the screen in CGI. Also, many of the underrated characters and ones featured in that Sodor History Book (Such as: Elise, Albert, Fred, etc.), would've made the tv show more exciting and entertaining in my opinion.
Reginald makes sense for the big city engine, as it's wildnorwester form is named Reginald, and is friends with Peter the heavy goods engine, iris the container yard diesel, Owen the goods diesel, and Lily the sunken tank engine, all of which are wildnorwester characters. Even though they are fan made, they'd fit perfectly in the official show. Wildnoreester was also the first person to actually give names to the Peel godred electric engines, those being Steve and Shawn(both green), Andy(blue) and jeffrey(dark red). Number 16 doesn't appear, but another engine named Sheffield, happens to be an austerity tank engine and has the number 16. Wildnoreester has also confirmed Neil's brothers to be named Clive and Mathew
Just pointing this out if you didn’t know. Culdee made the story up but skarloey and rheneas didn’t tell sir Handel or Duncan that. So I think godred is fine
I knew that. But in real life, Godred's basis, L.A.D.A.S. fell down the mountain and was dismantled. So that's why I thought Godred died just like his real-life counterpart.
I would like to see Angus the fire engine in the tv show but just put his eyes on his face instead of the lights so you don't had to worry about him be a scary character
for me if I want to make my own Wooden Railway 16 I will probably get the Wilbert model and the Ertl sixteen improbably remove the face off the Earl model and put it onto the Wilbert model and turn into 16
