After seeing your video, I may have a few ideas for Thomas stories on my Deviantart page. I’ll say 5 of them and tell me which ones I should go ahead with. 1. Rebecca and the Twins: When Rebecca meets up with Bill and Ben, she accidentally gets on the wrong foot with them and the twins make fun of her. After Boco sticks up for her and telling her how useful she is, she proves the twins after rescuing them from a broken bridge. 2. Not so fast Hank: Hank returns to Sodor and is given some jobs but doesn’t take on coal and water due to believing he takes more of it than other engines. 3. Molly and the Hill: Molly is used to light hills but is afraid of Gordon’s hill but has to overcome it when she’s asked to give Gordon a push. 4. Rebecca and Toby: Rebecca is asked to work with Toby after promising Thomas and Percy to help them out. Panicked by this she rushes her work with Toby causing her to get stuck on the main line. 5. Jeremy and the Hurricane: flights were being cancelled due to bad weather but Jeremy not wanting to let his passengers down takes them back to Sodor anyway.

Agree with most of your list. I don't know of you knew the news, but Mattel has announced that 'All engines go' / the reboot is not cannon and is a completely separate show to the main one. So there is still some hope of these characters returning if the main show restarts. Im all for it, especially if it's like a second Brenner era!!

Mattel should've just make a return to all the other model series characters. That would’ve been better that creating new characters.

I have some ideas for Thomas stories for Jeremy to appear in. Here’s 5 examples and tell me which ones you think could be perfect for the original show. 1. Jeremy and the Treasure: Jeremy finds a map that would take him to buried treasure but Harold thinks it’s just a silly story. Will Jeremy find the treasure and prove to Harold that’s it’s real? 2. Jeremy gets the Blooey Blues: When Jeremy gets in trouble for causing an accident he gets very sad and ends up getting the blooey blues. Will Harold cheer him up? 3. No Snow for Jeremy: Jeremy wants to go play in the snow but Harold ordered him to stay in his hanger until the snow melts. Unfortunately Jeremy goes out in the snow anyway but ends up getting stuck after running out of jet fuel. Will Harold find Jeremy and save him from getting buried completely in the snow? 4. Jeremy and the Artist: Jeremy gets a visit from an artist who wants to paint something special of Sodor Airport so Jeremy tries very hard to find something special for the Artist to paint. 5. Jeremy and the Fruit Festival: Jeremy is sent to pick up fruit for a fruit festival and hopes to have a wonderful time. Little did he know Thomas, Percy, James, Gordon, Emily, Nia, Rebecca, Lady, Molly, Neville, Fergus, Dennis, Freddie, Billy, Harold and Tiger Moth are celebrating the fruit festival too. Will Jeremy run into his friends and will they all have a great time at the fruit festival?

I really agree with these characters that should’ve returned. I really wanted Lady, Molly, BoCo, Duke, Bertram, Hector, S.C. Ruffey, Old Slow Coach, Neville, Murdoch & some others to return.

I only have two characters in mind to come back. Murdoch, being that he could possibly outshine some of the engines in strength like Henry and Sam, as well as Arthur . Arthur could have a whole episode where he's hellbent on cleaning up his "spotless record", so much so that he ends up damaging it even more

I wanted Neville to return the most as well as Fergus, Molly, Dennis, Murdoch, Arthur, Colin, Hank, Flora, Billy, Hector, Lady, Splatter, Dodge, Mighty Mac, Freddie, Duke, BoCo and Stepney.

A pretty good video I think all of them should return and probably all of them deserves more recognition than what they got oh yeah and about Stepney he did appear with a CGI face in season 12 in Rosie's Carnival special or Rosie's funfair special anyway pretty good video and thoughts on Rosie's Carnival special?

For what I’ve heard on Twitter the 2D animation is going to be a separate series and CGI is going to carry on.

I would’ve have loved it if Murdoch had a friendly conversation with Hiro as the two of them are very strong engines.

I’m surprised S.C.Ruffey didn’t return, they could’ve easily re-skinned one of the 7 plank wagons, gave it a new face and added the markings on the sides.

BoCo, Duke and Stepney are sure characters that I've wanted to return most, but sadly, they couldn't...

Given they wanted female characters, I'm surprised they didn't have Caroline, Molly, Isabella, Elizabeth Madge, Lady, Flora return in CGI and Mrs Kindley could have been one of Dowagers friends easily

You know if Duke did returned to the show if the reboot didn't exist, maybe we could see Duke interacting with Sir Robert Norramby and even Millie.

There’s a lot of old Thomas & Friends characters that I want to see return in full CGI such as Molly, Hank, Neville, Murdoch, Smudger, Stepney, Duke, Caroline, and more. But thanks to the stupid reboot, we ain’t getting none of that.

Ok here are my thoughts on about the characters you mentioned on this list: 10. Mrs Kyndley could have had potential in the CGI era. 9. Hank, Flora, and Colin: Well Duh 8. Hector: Agreed 7. Jeremy: I would agree with you on that 6. Madge: Agreed 5. Bulstrode: Hmmm I'm not to sure 4. Scruffy: Hmm I'm not to sure and HELLO Scruffy also appeared in Season 5's Put Upon Percy. 3. Stepney: Another obvious one, however I would like to see him in his Railway Series personality instead of his tv show personality since the Models Era and CGI era are completely different timelines. 1. Honorable mentions: Refreshment Lady: I can see her make a return after all she had two episodes where she was the main character in Seasons 4 & 7 alongside Peter Sam. Bertram: I don't know about him Tiger Moth: Could be possible Spiteful Brake Van: Just like what you said he was already dead plus he doesn't exist in the CGI canon. City of Truro: Nope not a chance and like what you said he doesn't even have a face Molly, Neville and Dennis: Agreed. Fun Fact: Dennis was so supposed to come back in Day of the Diesels unfortunately he was cut out from the movie and was replaced by Norman.

I 10000000% want Boco to come back in CGI I think he should have the same voice as James (in season 17 US)

I wish they never removed Stepney I like him even though I have issues with the episode Thomas and Stepney.

If you think John Goodman could fit the role of Hank for voicing, Hank has a Southern accent. I thought John Goodman can't speak that accent. He's known for Sulley in the Monsters Inc. franchise.

Freddie was originally intended to return in full CGI in either Blue Mountain Mystery or the sixteenth series and was to be voiced by Bob Golding. However, most likely due to his basis going through an overhaul at the time, this did not happen.

Duke was originally meant to be in the fifteenth series episode, Kevin the Steamie along with Peter Sam and Sir Handel as seen in the storyboards, but never made it in the final episode. Duke was one of the characters that was originally going return in the CGI series but was dropped. This would of marked his first appearance in the CGI series. The others being Billy, Dennis, Splatter, Dodge, Derek, Colin and George. According to Michael White, he had originally written for George to return in the Series 23 episode, Free the Roads. His role was later replaced by Max and Monty. This would have marked his first appearance in the CGI series. Pity that Mattel has to keep dropping characters every time instead of letting the writers try harder to return old faces. Honestly, people.

All these characters that are not in the CGI Series probably left Sodor after their last appearances in the model series.

Mattel is just like Hasbro back then because Mattel just want to make money and annoy many people by not listening. It would not be a surprise if many fans of Thomas and Friends will write and send multiple angry letters to Mattel to bring back many characters from the model era. Just like many children who wrote and sent angry letters about killing off Optimus Prime to Hasbro which made them realized the error of their ways.

I think Caroline should've returned in one CGI episode. Maybe they could redesign her so that her eyes are on her grille face instead of on her headlights (to be more consistent with the non-rail vehicles in the CGI series).

Another fact about Bolstrode is that he’s a rode at Thomas Land at Edaville

In a way, Molly returned via Rebecca, but even still, it would be great if Molly returned. Same with Neville, Dennis, and heck, even Billy (because he had potential to be better).

That is a great list, Trevor. Mattel should not be concerned about too many males and allow Andrew Brenner to bring back more characters to CGI, male and female alike.

1. I agree about Hank returning, though I honestly would've liked him better in his original basis's shape and livery (PRR K4). 2. Hector was my top favorite Truck character and deserved more than what he got. 3. I would've liked the idea of Bulstrode being given another chance like Bulgy was. 4. Scruffy would've made a great character for a story arc where he redeems himself and earns the engine's trust again. 5. Boco was no doubt one of the top favorite diesel characters who deserved a more permanent slot in the show's cast. 6. Stepney was a favorite member of Sir Topham's railway, and I think it was ridiculous for the show to get rid of a whole branch line (The Bluebell Line).

I would like to hear his opinions on why Splatter, Dodge, Smudger and Lady were not added back.

Also(sorry if im commenting too much), for the spiteful brakevan, i think he should back in an episode where douglas taking toad to the steamworks and the little western needing a spare brakevan.

If i was able to write in some of these characters in the cgi, here are some of my ideas Tram trouble rewrite - after opening the great waterton line, Flora comes to sodor to run the line with stanley, this makes toby jealous because she's younger and faster, and when they come to the parade, Toby refuses to help, so flora tries doing all the work but breaks down (it's kinda similar to mavis, but instead flora then tells toby off for being lazy). Hank - Hank has to take a large load of steel across from the mainland to Knapford as a ship is being built, he unfortunately overworks and blocks Gordon's hill, right with gordon behind him. Stepney - stepney has to take a special passenger to the beach at harwick, but Donald and douglas' arguing at callan means he gets sent up the wrong track and ends up derailing into the callan castle moat. Molly - when she asks her to take passengers to brendham, she worries that her passengers wouldn't enjoy the experience, and when she doesn't see the workmen outside the animal park, she hits a brakevan. I know they are not good, but i do have more, just no time right now.

I want Lady to comeback in CGI. It would’ve been spectacular if Lady come back after Calling All Engines. However she would be used different than from Magic Railroad Lady. 1. Give her a real name (I’ll planning to call her Luna) 2. Like Maui from Moana, she has magical powers because of her golden lamps.

I think that they could’ve brought back MightyMac in Journey beyond Sodor. He could have been a experimental engine along with Lexi and Theo. Since they are narrow gauge he could have been stuck on a flatbed pulled around by Lexi. So my fan story is that before Luke and Victor arrived on Sodor the Thin Controller could have ordered MightyMac for the Scarloey Railway but MightyMac were lost in shipping. And they were accidentally brought to the mainland instead and put in the experimental yard. Since they didn’t know were they were going they stayed there. Since the Thin Controller was missing an engine he ordered Luke and Victor instead. Do you think this could’ve worked?

Also, about bulstrode, he is due to be in the all engines go episode Thomas's day off

Colin probably did not return because like Cranky he is stuck at one place, but Cranky is at Brendam Docks which was a place that appeared a lot in CGI. I dont think that harbor were Colin is ever made CGI

Believe it or not, their was an unlucky thirteenth engine that was never in the model series, this engine was to help out with Donald in Douglas, this character I want to see in the tv series

I'm upset that none of the diesels were based off GM, GE, or EMD models. Those three brands are owned by the same GM that makes my favorite road vehicles too. I want to see a GM diesel locomotive in Thomas

What’s wrong with more faceless engines in the tv series?

What if there was an episode where there’s some explorers which have stumbled across some old narrow gauge tracks which were covered by grass and they decide to go tell the thin controller. Then the thin controller remembers the old railway and has a short 2-5 second flashback of duke and the others chuffing on the old railway. Then he goes and gets the pack members and they go to rediscover the lost narrow gauge railway. When they’re there one of the pack members spots a little chunk of concrete and decides to dig into the hillside. As he/she does so they hit something so they decide to on over it. When they are digging to get to this Mysterious object the vines and dirt falls off the open front of the building which reveals Smudger who was covered in dust and needed major repairs. Smudger had been waken up after he heard a loud BANG. When he saw the thin controller standing there he started to smile and the thin controller smiled back as they had remembered eachother. They decide to retrieve Duke because he was the only narrow gauge engine available to help because the other narrow gauged engines were working hard at the quarry. They tell Duke that they had found the old railway and needs a strong narrow gauge engine to help retrieve him. When they get there Duke cried in happiness after seeing one of his old friends. The crew had gotten Thomas or one of the other engines to bring flatbeds with spare narrow gauge parts. The workers had carefully disassembled the generator and had the pack lift him up so they can put him on a flatbed. They manage to get the narrow gauge frame and wheels on him so he can fit on tracks but the pack wasn’t strong enough to put him on a flatbed so they carefully put him on tracks. Duke had to work very hard to pull smudger over to a part of the narrow gauge tracks that were fairly close to some nearby standard gauge tracks. Another engine had brought rocky over and rocky reached out as far as he could and he had his hook attached to some chains around smudger and carefully lifted smudger up and loaded him up onto a flatbed. Then rocky had been taken away and another engine came to pull smudger back to the steam works. Victor was shocked when he heard the story and he quickly got him into operational condition. Victor was put back onto a flatbed and mavis came and pulled him to the quarry. Mavis stopped along the way so that she can also bring a flatbed with Duke on it. Mavis has brought both smudger and duke to the quarry. The quarry engines had seen the old engines and they were amazed by the sight of the two old engines. Luke had tried to teach them what to do but Duke and Smudger both responded with, “We don’t need to be taught We may be old but We both sure do know a thing or two.” Duke had said, “That’s true about me but smudger still has a few things to learn about staying on tracks.” That night Duke and smudger told many stories about their time on the old narrow gauge railroad. From that day on Duke had worked at the quarry. And smudger got taught a couple of lessons about staying on the rails. They both still work at the quarry.
