My Top 20 Reaction to Eurovision 2018 Bulgaria Bones EQUINOX 

No, Jana is singing very little from the last note and her voice is covering the voice of the backing vocalist Maria who adds some traditional bulgarian elements in the beginning and in the end of the song. If you listen very carefully, you will notice the point where the two voice are singing together. Else, this is my favourite entry from my country Bulgaria. I liked the live performance and it is better than the studio version in my opinion.

Before this Eurovision I was wanting them or Greece to win based on the studio version, then I saw them live and it just fell flat. Still like the song, but too many sour notes and two-dimensional staging. They should have used more of the stage, clumping together in the middle and being very static didn't do them any favours. But mainly I was just disappointed with the vocals, it lost the "thick" feel of the studio version. Actually, I had the same problem with Greece 2018 "Oniro Mou" which was amazing studio but poor live.

One of my favorite ESC songs!! ❤️ But to be fair, the live version wasn't as good and I found the staging lacking in creativity. They could have done so much more with this song.. Anyways, the studio version is still on my playlist ❤️

These notes from Zhana that you said you loved... Yeah they were made by a traditional Bulgarian singer as a backing vocalist. I think she totally should have been on stage instead (she deserves it) but I guess she wasn't "telegenic" enough and didn't fit in the "common framework" . I take from this that you seem to like the dark brooding and mysterious entries that still are up-tempo and current-pop sounding.

I still think the split screen didn't do justice to the song but the rest of the performance was amazing..

Oh man, The live version was a mess for me. They got rid of basically ALL of the harmonies they had in the studio version and up until the bridge they sang entirely in unison. It was so disappointing in my opinion. The studio version is nice I guess, but I just really don't like this verision.
