Great list. Me personally though, I'd get rid of St. Anger because it's not thrash. Maybe replace it with Thriller by Michael Jackson instead? Either that or the Marshall Mathers LP by Eminem.

I'm not inclined to the thrash-death zone of metal, but I must say these guys Vektor are mind-blowing: I have just listened to Terminal Redux twice, it's crazy. If you like this kind of concept albums I highly recommend The Psychonaut: Unfold the God Man is a fantastic album.
Yes dude! Not only is my favorite thrash album Terminal Redux as well, it's actually my favorite album of all time. PS: Vektor just released a new track yesterday!
@@RÅNÇIÐ Yeah, same. Apparently Erik, the guitarist, said they're saving the 10 minute proggy tracks for the full-length. This was just an "appetizer" track, but I still like it.
I dig the fact that there's stuff on here I don't usually see on people's lists at all.. let alone with such strong endorsements. Black Future blew me away, I'm gonna go check out the one's I don't know right now. Needed some new shit to check out tonight. Cheers.

Never got into Overkill's Groove metal phase Taking Over (1987) is fire too. By Inheritance is a masterpiece, could listen to Back in the Trash on repeat all day. The big 3 Teutonic Thrash bands (Sodom, Kreator, Destruction) all had that evil almost Slayer-esqe sound in their early albums. Coma of Souls is great too. Solid List. My top 20: 1. Terminal Redux is the greatest achievement in metal music, period. I am suppressing my expectations for the new record because I don't want to be disappointed if it doesn't rise to the magnificence of it's predecessor.
7:32 i'd say Chaos A.D is the best Sepultura, NOT MY FAVORITE, i prefer Beneath, but there is a reason why Chaos is often regarded as the best. Is the album in which they found their own identity and created a new style, there isn't really an album that sounds like Chaos A.D., the tribal drums, the acoustic guitars, all of that makes it a very special, unique and creative album. That beign said, Beneath is still my favorite for beign just fast, furious, relentlessly brutal and memorable at the same time from begining to end
My top 10: south of heaven 9: among the living 8: dystopia 7:and justice for all 6:countdown to extinction 5:reign in blood 4:rust in peace 3:killing is my business 2:so far so good so what 1:peace sells And the sick the dying and the dead will probably be added to this list once it’s released.
Yes! I was watching this video and thinking to myself "If he has Terminal Redux on here I will aprove of this video" and you put it at nr. 1! That album is one of my favourite albums of all time and I will never get tired of it. So awesome that they released a new song yesterday! 2021 will be the comeback year for Vektor!
My top 5: 1. Horrorscope (Overkill) 2. Ride the Lightning (Metallica) 3. The New Order (Testament) 4. Fabulous Disaster (Exodus) 5. Peace Sells (Megadeth)
Saw Toxic Holocaust in a small bar. One of the heaviest and most energetic shows I’ve ever been to. I was blown away. Vektor - Terminal Redux is one of my favorite albums of all time of all genres. For some reason, I can’t get into Rust in Peace. I’ve tried so many times and I just don’t like it. Holy Wars is a great song, but I feel like it’s the only one that doesn’t just sound like a mindless shredfest.
Just so you know, the placement here isn't set into stone (except maybe top 2). The fact that the album appears on this list at all means that I have big appreciation for it. Also,I decided to make it "one album per artist" to share the spotlight with less popular albums that deserve more love 20)Sabbat-Dreamweaver 19)Destruction-Infernal Overkill 18)Xentrix-For Whose Advantage? 17)Testament-The New Order 16)Voivod-Killing Technology 15)Holy Moses-The New Machine Of Liechtenstein 14)Watchtower-Control And Resistance 13)Vektor-Outer Isolation 12)Annihilator-Alice In Hell 11)Razor-Evil Invaders 10)Kreator-Extreme Agression 9)Anthrax-Among The Living 8)Anacrusis-Suffering Hour 7)Coroner-No More Color 6)Artillery-By Inheritance 5)Overkill-Feel The Fire 4)Sodom-Percecution Mania 3)Slayer-Hell Awaits 2)Metallica-Master Of Puppets 1)Megadeth-Rust In Peace We both have Sodom at number 4,what the hell?)
@@Questformetal Also,I want to thank you for finally convincing me to listen to Vektor. Can't say I love all their albums, but Outer Isolation just sounds like a modern Voivod in their early period and that's awesome!
Nice list man. Interesting number one choice. Terminal Redux by Vektor is a great album though. Some favorites of mine would be these: Metallica - Ride The Lightning Metallica - Master of Puppets Megadeth - Rust In Peace Anthrax - Among The Living All from the big four, I know. Lol
Quest For Metal! What are your opinions on the Irish Pagan/Black metal band Primordial? A.A.'s vocals are brutal yet soaring and legible! Brilliant lyrics and heavy, folk metal riffs. One of my favorite bands and the band that opened up my ears to appreciating "real" black metal.
my favorite thrash metal albums 1. Master of puppets 2. Ride the lightning 3. Reign in blood 4. Rust in peace 5. among the living I know that is a pretty generic list but all of these albums are masterpieces that sadly the majority of my generation only know as those really cool t-shirts
So many amazing albums to pick from. All time favourite thrash album is "Rust In Peace" by Megadeth, followed closely by Voivod's "Killing Technology", Metallica's "Master Of Puppets", S.O.D's "Speak English Or Die", and Razor's "Evil Invaders". As far as more modern thrash is concerned, Power Trip and Iron Reagan are the best of the best. (also go check your e-mail my dude)
1) Slayer - South of Heaven 2) Sepultura - Beneath the Remains 3) Sodom - Persecution Mania 4) Death Angel - The ultra violence 5) Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss 6) Sodom - Tapping the vein 7) Metallica - Master of Puppets 8) Megadeth - Rust in peace 9) Death Angel - The Killing Season 10) Sepultura - Chaos AD
I'm gonna be completely honest fam, most straight thrash metal isn't really my thing. I can 100% appreciate bands like Metallica or Megadeth, but when it comes to thrash metal my preference is stuff that pushes the genre in an extreme direction (be it death/thrash or black/thrash, or what I hear some of the kids call 'brutal thrash') or wacky technical stuff (sometimes both!). 20. Voivod is probably my favorite metal band period, but I wouldn't call them thrash metal at all. They started out as this "avant garde punk metal crossover" thing then after Killing Tech became this even more unclassifiable thing.
I'm not going to make a top 20 cause I'm a bit lazy lol, but here are some of my favorite thrash albums Ride the Lightning-Metallica Power and Pain-Whiplash Empire of the Blind-Heathen The American Way-Sacred Reich Youthanasia-Megadeth Executioner's Song-Razor and Kreator's new material from Violent Revolution and onward

Venom and midnight? No way thrash for me... especially if there are nuclear assault Exodus destruction holy moses tankard death angel paralysis Red death violence dark Angel exumer whiplash etc out there. But okay, opinions.....
So your telling me that none of these bands had more than one great album? Just another list of a bunch of half ass bands one album per band. I can name three Slayer albums alone that would be top 5.
